@@heatherduke7703 Thank you! It is amazing to see how we all apply the same techniques but still read the images differently. The dimples and small faint freckles were a must leave for me. The other retouchers did an amazing job - I see a lot of areas they did better than me. In the end it comes down to your taste and vision.

I'm a professional editor myself and I have to say your version was my favourite! Nothing was overdone. The hair didn't look cutout and the retouching on the face was simply perfect.
I think every retouch looked good in its own way. At first the 150$ one was like overwhelming and reminded me of those Beauty Pageant images, but the longer I looked at it the more I was impressed. Maybe it's just the big OOF when you compare the original to the edit. Lovely job from everyone!
If you needed that kind of beauty retouching, they did a fantastic job with it. I preferred the natural looking ones myself.
150€ one almost looked like a drawing to me XD which yeah beauty pageant images always look like drawing to me anyways.

The only thing I don't like about the 150 is they went a bit overkill in my opinion on smoothing out your face. The one you picked was my favorite too!! Can you do more videos like this? Maybe use a model and full body shot next time id be super interested. Not sure if youve done that before but ill be looking :)
Yeah I think the smoothing was a little too much as well. It would have been nice to see a little bit of texture and shadows still because the way it was, it looked a bit like a facetuned instagram post

I loved the hair on the 150 one. The color was good too but a little too overboard on the “beautifying”. Some natural skin texture would have taken it to the next level.
She has done a few other videos like this! This is actually the first time she used her own portrait. In the previous videos, she sent people photos she took of other models.
Yes, that $25 is #1 for me too. Subtle retouching and I love how the retoucher made it warm. Wonderful job!
I liked 20-30$ range ones the best. They were subtle but polished, while the expensive one was totally overkill. It may look good zoomed in, but as smaller image it just looks obviously retouched. I don't think even the adds in magazines look that extreme. So i think you picked the perfect one!
Man that was a surprisingly good batch! I do think the princess peach was a bit too much for my taste but if you want that kind of hyper clean look it is like a really nice example of that
I love the second one, it's so subtle and beautiful - but the others are great too :D
It was my favorite too! Natural and soft. The 4th one is a little bit too pink for my taste but I loved the light touch on the eye :)

The 150 retouch made you look like a cartoon version of you. The best was 2 and 4, with 4 being ever so slightly ahead in the "most looks like you" and 3 being ahead in the "polished but still human" category.
I really liked the $20 one they did an amazing job. The others also did a great job I like the others as well. The $25 I like that they added something to your eyes. The $150 made your photo look like a beauty pagent photo but like for a magazine it was good. Also the $25 and $30 I like how subtle and natural they kept it. This must've been a hard decision. They were all good. 😆
I’m so impressed at how all these editors made you look perfect but still like a person. Some retouched images go a little overboard, but these are all so natural and don’t make you look like a different person
My favorite is the last one, so soft an natural. Fixed everything that needed to be fixed in a way that you can't tell if the photo is edited or if you are literally a doll hehe

The retouch you picked was one of my final two faves. My eye was really drawn to that $150 retouch. Maybe too because it was dead center. Lol.
My second pick, the one you selected, was super nice. It looked a tiny bit more natural. They were the only one too that left the lil baby hair over your right eye. Nice touch. I think your choice was perfect... 😊
I like #4 too. The tone, the added bounce light on the pupil and the not overfiltering the face imperfections made it perfect for me. It looks natural.

The expensive one was kind of overdone in my opinion, it almost looked like one of those manga filters on photo editing apps. But what really bugged me was that there seemed to be a weird disconnect between the look of the face and the look of the neck, as if they went for one style of editing on the face and another (less extreme) style on the rest of the photo. I definitely see the look they were going for and I think there’s a place for that kind of editing in, say, a magazine, but they just didn’t quite nail the execution on this particular picture. I’d be interested to see more of their work. Overall a really good batch of edits this time though! 💗

You are so beautiful Jessica, I don't like that the 2nd redefined your cheekbones. It wasn't a skin touch up it was contouring ur perfect face!
I noticed that too. Probably my least favorite because of that.
@@MeaghanE I'm reassured it wasn't me being overly harsh on the retoucher! My fave was the last $30 one for most natural perfecting and I loved the flyaway cleanup on her neck....that kind of thing isnt changing anything fundamentally her- she didn't cut her own hair so fixing her bangs doesn't count!
If I cut her hair I would be squirming about now 😅 not because it looks bad- it doesnt- but she clearly didn't like it on herself!

i'd leave some fly always on the outside that don't look too messy cause smoothing the outline of the hair so much makes it look unnatural to me

For me is between 4 and 5, 4 is gives you a more interesting look and 5 is more serious I would say it depends where you want to show the picture Insta or Portofolio

I love natural edits, I go with the $25 dollars retouching, you’ve got a bone structure to die for, I’m looking to get a surgery in which I ended up with prominent dimples and a strong jaw like yours. You didn’t need to get hidden your dimples and cheekbones, they’re dope and the $25 retouch knew that and respect your features

This was so interesting to see! I think that seeing the retouches on a face I’m familiar with (as opposed to the models you typically use) gave me more insight into what truly goes into the retouching vs what you “usually” look like…if that makes sense. So I’ve paused it on the side by side of all the edits and my favorite is number 4. I loved that one the most during the initial presentation as well, but I wasn’t able to put a finger on exactly why until you showed all 5 at once. Its because of the subtle peachy glow, but it’s not overdone like the “beauty shot”. Number 2 was my second fave. You’re beautiful! ♥️

To me, a great retouch is a retouch where you kind of don’t see that it’s retouched. It have to look natural.
I think all five did great. The 150 I think was a little to polished, I think that looked less natural then the others. But still beautiful work.
The one you picked I think was really great and I understand you chose it. The retouch was natural and subtle.
But my personal favorite was the second one (the first at 25) you showed. I liked that they kept the “space” in you bangs. That space was an “imperfection” that to me made the picture and especially the hair look more natural. Besides from the bangs I believe it had a lot of the same great qualities as the retouch you chose.

First and second were the best in my opinion
the hair from the $150 was insane! but the face was a little too yassified.
I think my favourite is the last one. It looked the most natural. To an average person viewing it doesn’t look “retouched”. If I saw this scrolling Instagram or something I wouldn’t really think twice or go “hang on is this edited” it just looks the most natural without being over the top. No crazy colors or filter, no excessive smoothing or anything, it doesn’t look like it’s been overly cleaned up. Compared to the before it just looks the most subtle and nice.
