I respect your opinion on Damn and I think your assessment on it is correct, neither of its modes is better than some of the other targeted removal/boardwipes. But I think having both options and that flexibility is worth including in any black/white/+ color decks.

Interesting idea to try to make Sol'Kanar a donate theme deck but I didn't see a lot of permanents worth the effort/need for donating. So far it seems like a lot of effort to get the deck owners stuff into play to give it to someone else to then spend more mana to get their stuff back. Feels like a lot of wheel spinning to no real effect 😏 your idea of leaning into resetting the commander is a much stronger suggestion for this deck owner for sure

You actually can starkk of rath and blink with the ability on the stack you can 2 mana blink it and then the new starkk isn’t the same so it wont exchange and the ability will try to resolve as much as possible.

This is just a warning from someone who had a similar deck to this...I took Thassa and Closet because it reversed the jank. Those two cards make this a not-meme deck. Take it as you may.
The direction I went is Sol'Kanar as a utility card to keep up tempo (or slow it down with removing important cards) is copying these cards (Using Storm King's Thunder) when they have my commander:
    -Backlash
    -Delirium
*Not the best strategy but super fun

You should explore Rograhk and thrasios light stax. I made a Winter orb and static orb deck. It’s one of the most fun decks I’ve ever played. It’s ability to adapt and change to any situation while also pressuring non transparent win cons is insane.

@@malthenielsen7157 I call it high class combo. I don’t even know all the combos that are possible. It’s that deep of a decklist. The interactivity and synergy of the non land cards is insane. You can also win t1 a couple of ways. But they do require god hands. Sometimes a t2-3 winter orb is like a t1 win anyway. I use gilded drake to grab high value high synergy stuff. The stax segment and compliments are just to help compliment the other combos and synergy to enable. I love playing under a rule of law effect. I will use my douse and lifeforce to protect opponent stax pieces that don’t heavily hinder me. Both those enchantments also hit all spell types so any red or black commanders can be blanketed from being played as long as you have mana up.
