Great video! I purchased a garage that had a couple of this style of tool chest that had been sitting on the gravel floor. I picked up a couple great tips from this video, thanks for the inspiration!
good concept and the execution is enough for proof of concept. which is exactly what you stated you were going for :) (I am only posting this part just for information not a critique as I need much more practice myself welding) I don't know how much you know about welding (I am not a professional, I am taking classes at the local community college). cleaning the paint and rust off down to bare metal will help a lot with welding, and if you are using non-fluxcore wire you should use argon/co2 mix gas. And yes welding thin sheet metal is much tougher than most people would think, burn throughs, warping from excessive heat etc. (often times I have to adjust the settings and change techniques, still learning to do it consistently)
Thank you for your feedback and tips. It’s held up well for what it is. Although it doesn’t get rolled around a lot, it’s saved a lot of trips back to the other box.
