    That color with the blacked out option they offer is absolutely sick, just saying. They black out the wheels, grill, lettering, and I think one other area. Looks amazing with the two tone in velvet red

    FYI the 5.7 is being phased out. I know this because they cancelled my factory order of a 2023. Stellantis V6 turbo is inbound.

    Ordering one this week. I tried all the vehicles you mentioned, and I agree on all points. Not a Texan...I'm in Missouri. But I would rather drive this than a bland German. I feel like my boots will 'fit" better in this Jeep.

    I just bought the Summit Reserve 4XE. A bit of a learning curve for the tech, but it drives amazingly good. As any $80,000 vehicle should!! I swore I'd never buy American again. Jeep changed my mind.

    Hello Texas Garage. Good walk-around tour review and drive video for the 2022 two row version Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Summit Reserve trim. Jeep definitely delivered with this new fifth generation both for the exterior and interior. I like four out of the five generation Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. I like the first generation, third generation which I currently have, the outgoing fourth generation and the new fifth generation for the two row version as well as the third row seating Grand Cherokee L. As for the second generation Jeep Grand Cherokee the levels of enthusiasm wasn't at a high level for me. The back of it protruded a little too much and the back side windows wasn't uniformed with the rest of the vehicle. With both fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L and two row version Jeep Grand Cherokee what I think they should've done regarding the Summit Reserve trim level is to have the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine standard for that trim since it's the highest trim level. The gloss black roof is standard for that trim so, in reference to the power department the V8 should've been standard for that trim. With both fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L and Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep definitely made bold moves. Now, their target is to compete with luxury branded mid-size third row seating SUVs and mid-size SUVs in terms of premium materials used for the interior as well as nice n comfy features. I've test driven the Jeep Grand Cherokee L three times so far. Trim levels Limited and Overland trim I test drove. The Limited trim and the first Overland trim had the V6 engine. The second Overland trim I test drove had the V8 engine. It was nice. Basically a night and day difference performance wise. Nice V8 rumbling sound and acoustic sounds from the exhaust tips. I currently have the third generation Jeep Grand Cherokee and I will get the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. I'll get it in the Overland trim nicely equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. I'll also get the 20" rims. I'll wait until sometime next year to get it though. One thing I can say with Jeep is that the advantage they have over the competitors is overall flexibility from different aspects in terms of trim levels to choose from, features, number of seats to choose from between the two row version as well as the third row seating Grand Cherokee L and engine powertrain choices. I'm glad they brought back the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Now, they have a full size line. Now, the lineup of SUVs is complete size wise. Whoever is cross shopping for a mid-size third row seating SUV, they can include the Jeep Grand Cherokee L on their list and whoever is cross shopping for a full size line SUV they can include the Wagoneer or the Grand Wagoneer on their list. In a upcoming review video see if you can do a review for either Grand Cherokee vehicles with the V8 engine. Also, a review video for one of the Wagoneer vehicles.

    Hi Nice video 👍
    does it ride smoother than the last generation ? Do you feel the bumps and imperfections of the road ? Currently i have GC Overland with 18 inch wheels and it’s a bit stiff on the road

      Thanks, and I think it’s pretty smooth. That air suspension is pretty great. 👍

      I know what you're saying. I have a 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited and I felt every imperfection on the road but it did loosen up over time and was pretty great imo. I bought the 2024 Summit like the one in this video with the air suspension and ... wow. Its on a whole different level. You just don't feel road imperfections. Its something I noticed right away. Take one for a test drive. It will surprise you.

    Which is more reliable, the V6 or V8 engine?

    • @txGarage
      @txGarage  2 года назад +1

      I wouldn't say one is more reliable than the other. The V8 might strain less if you're pulling things or pushing the engine hard.

      Best bet should be the v6 pentastar model's from 2016 and up Chrysler redesign this engine back in 2016 therefore those drivetrain issues that plague the 2015 model's and below should address hopefully we will see I just bought a used 2018 JGC 2 weeks ago hopefully the engine holds up long term

      For 2016, FCA released an updated version of the 3.6 L engine for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango. This engine now features two-stage variable valve lift (VVL), a cooled EGR, a new intake manifold, new fuel injectors, and new ignition coils. It also features upgrades to the variable valve timing (VVT) system, an increased compression ratio (11.3:1), lower internal friction and lower weight. These improvements help to increase power as well as efficiency.[8] The new version, however, has lost its flex-fuel capability.
