I just realised at 26:33 with Bheem showing Sita’s locket to Ram is a great anti-parallel to Indian epic of Ramayan where Hanuman Ji shows Sita maa Ram Ji’s ring to confirm to her that he’ll come to save her. This is an amazing detail in the movie.
The statue at the shrine is to Lord Rama (a human incarnation of Vishnu). Lord Rama is a skilled warrior and famed as an archer. Alluri Sitarama Raju led rural tribes (initially armed with bows and arrows) against the British and dressed like Lord Rama (Ram's orange outfit) to help inspire the people he lead. Komuram Bheem led a revolt against the Nizam of Hyderabad (an Indian client-prince for the British and at the time the wealthiest person in the world). His slogan was 'Jal, Jangal, Zameen' , translated 'Water, Forest, Land' - which were written on his flag. He was not educated as a child, (which is why he looks proudly at all of Ram's books earlier in the movie, literacy in India at the time was 8-10% of the population) but later in life knew how to speak and read several languages.
Damn... Intresting! How do you know these stuff? Even lot of people within India never knew it was Alluri Sita Rama Raju cuz they depict it as Lord Ram Anyways good for you, best of luck for your future plans, love from India. Jai hind 🇮🇳
33:08 in Britishers time ::: bike’s weight is around 70-80 kgs , soldiers carried two wheelers along with them…. That’s why director created that bike lifting scene You can google it.
A few comments on the movie on details you might have missed: 1) The bridge-rescue scene forshadows the movie! Akthar/Bheem is rescusing the kid (he is on the mission to rescue Malli), while Ram is holding the flag (his mission is rescuing the country) and dipping it into water (remember: Bheem is Water!) to do so. Not only do they foreshadow their intentions (Bheem jumps for the kid and Ram for country), they also exchange the missions and won only after helping each other.... 2) Right after Bheem fights the tiger he is dressing up as a muslim (white cap and necklace with muslim text/symbols). Ram knows these dress codes and recognizes Akthar as Muslim. When Bheem is rescusing Ram from snake venom, he sees Akthar briefly praying at a Hindi althar. For Ram, THAT is the moment he starts to get suspicius, which gets confirmed when he sees the holy thread. 3) The vertical line drawn by someone on someone elses forehead is a blessing: Sita does it in Rams home village, and blesses him in the name of mother Godevari (the river goddess of that part of the land). Bheem does it in the climax scene in the forest, and blesses Ram in the name of Lord Rama (which seems to have made him an incarnation of Rama for the following action). 4) ALL animals in the movie (except the horse in the Dosti-Song (Friedship montage AFTER the bridge scene) were CGI, even the horse on the bridge! 5) Watch some of the behind the scenes and making off videos. It is unbelivable how much of the movie is CGI which you don´t recognise as such. 6) The motorcycle that was used at that time was about 58 pounds, so weilding it the way Bheem did was over the top, but not so much over the top as you might think. 7) Telugu (the language of Tollywood movies) is spoken in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. Alluri Rama Raju (after Sitas death Alluri Sitarama Raju) was a real freedom fighter from the region of Andhra Pradesh and was born 1897, fought from ca. 1919 to 1924, when he was killed. Komaram Bheem was a real freedom fighter from the region of Telengana, born into a Gond tribe in 1901, was a freedom fighter from about 1919 to 1940, when he was killed. The people in the song at the end were freedom fighters from other regions of india: - Subhas Chandra Bose (1897 - 1945) from Bengal - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875 - 1950) from Gujarat - Rani Kittur Chennamma (1778 - 1829) from Karnataka - V.O. Chidambaram Pillai (1872 - 1936) from Tamil Nadu - Bhagat Singh (1907 - 1931) from Punjab - Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu (1872 - 1957) from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana - Varma Pazhassi Raja (1773 - 1805) from Kerala - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (1630 - 1680) presenting Western, Southern and Central India 7) Jennys last scene in the movie was planned to be helping Bheem with the plans (showing him the map) to free Ram. She was added digitally for the reuniting scene when the truck reached Rams people, and also in the end song, because the british actress thought it was the right thing to do and wanted to be part of it. SS Rajamouli was very positively surprised and happily added her to these scenes.
These guys are huge stars on their own...with their own massive fan following and this is the first time a director "dared "😊to bring them together in a movie.
These 'huge' stars are because of Rajamouli in first place(Simhadri /Magadheera). They should be in debt for life because of SSR brilliance. All thanks to covid, netflix & global audience boredom made this movie a huge success.
@@shreeshanthkadam Wrong Both made movies before working with SSR NTR had seen massive success prior to making movie with Rajamouli. But Ramcharan was made into Star all thanks to Rajamouli.
The title of the movie will give u a clue at how BIG this movie is in INDIA. RRR is actually a working title when they announced the movie. RRR stands for Ram Charan (Raju), nt Rama Rao Jr (bheem) and the director SS Rajamouli. It’s such a BIG DEAL. Ram and NTR are one of the biggest stars in India and are blockbuster stars. Rajamouli have worked separately with both actors in previous movies. These actors are expensive and Rajamouli’s was the only one who can afford them to star in ONE movie so u can see how big of a deal this is. It’s only after that they had to think of the meaning for the 3 Rs because the working title stuck.
Did you catch during the whipping scene Ram actually pulls Beehm's feet backward to try to make him kneel so he can stop? This movie has so many layers. It's phenomenal.
that one is actually obvious!! still there are many reference and character symbolisms that go over the heads of most normal audiences!! it's not just a Popcorn flick, every shot was put into lot of thought!!
@@crazyfriendist0:02 raju's pants, bheem's pants and the green bush in the shot are similar to the tricolour, the national flag of India. It can't be a coincidence!
I'm so glad I don't have to work tomorrow. I'm going to wait till 1am to watch your reaction. Loved your reaction. RRR is an amazing movie. Bheem and Ram are the perfect duo.
Manly men, doing many manly men things! Respects to the historical revolutionaries whom this movie is based off of! Alluri Sitarama Raju (1897 - 1924) and Komaram Bheem (1900 - 1940). Obviously, this movie is Historical FICTION, and paints these two as superheroes, but what a great movie! American cinema needs to start stepping it up.
Man Rajamouli did such a great work in RRR. Now I can't wait for him to make Mahabharat (his dream project). Mahabharat is our holy book and history. He said his initial plans are to make it a 10 parts saga. Just thrilled to witness our history in 10 parts on the big screen. It has got all the potential to beat lord of the rings series. In bahubali, the way he showed the lead characters, the drama, the action scenes were so top notch. But Mahabharat will go one step higher. The story is so huge that it may end up being a 15 part series. Just waiting to see my favourite characters Karna, arjun, bheema, duryodhana, bhishma, shakuni and especially lord Krishna.
@@hacks398 it isn't a "holy book" bro, our holy books would be the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas. Although it has religious significance, it's not a holy book.
Give that editor a medal and man i have to agree i have seen millions of rrr reactions but this has to be legit best edited and best cheerful reaction kudos to the guy with flowers on his shirt he sold this reaction to me ❤❤
So the idol is a figure of Ram who is an avatar of the God Vishnu. This whole film has many references to Hinduism which may go by for those who are unfamiliar. For example, Ram was married to Sita who is the avatar of the Goddess Lakshmi who is also married to Vishnu hence why the character Ram is married to the character Sita. In the Ramayan (a sacred text describing everything about Ram and Sita's life), Ram was a prince as well as a warrior and he famously used a bow and arrow. When he was sentenced to 13 years of living in a forest due to a series of events he wore simple attire in orange which you see in the final scene. There are many many more references to Indian culture and religion, but this is just one of them.
Alluri Rama Raju,a freedom fighter, also a lord Rama admirer & his wife name is Sita.so he changed his named to Alluri Sita Rama Raju after she died.he used to fight against bows & arrows against British. In this movie, they showed how Rama Raju starts became lord Rama admirer at the end.
42:45 there are plenty grounded movies. Sardar Udham, Shershaah, URI etc. You'll never go wrong with those. Trust me on this list. Indian movies are amazing!
Thank you for reacting to Indian movie. Here are few suggestions you should definitely try 1. Bahubali 1 & 2 2. Sardar Udham 3. Tumbbad 4. URI:The Surgical Strike 5. 3 Idiots 6. Bajirao Mastani 7. Padmavat
Next should be SARDAR UDHAM movie for sure. **Best INDIAN movie came out in recent years.** **It is totally a work of art.** Best movie you've never heard of.
Couldnt remember the name, but the guy in that flowery shirt (left), He surely knows how to watch Indian movies. This is how most Blockbuster entertainer movies are. You just need to surrender urself to the flow of the movie to enjoy it. This is why he enjoyed it the most.
The friendship between the both heroes and many scenes of this movie are inspired by an ancient Indian Epic The Ramayana. Ram and Bheem have been portrayed as Lord Ram and Hanuman of the Epic. Hanuman is a hardcore follower of Lord Ram. When Bheem rescued Ram from Britishers and carried Ram on his shoulders, is inpired from the Ramanaya, when Ahiravan abducted Ram then Hanuman went to rescue him. The final saffron getup and Bow and Arrow of Ram is totally inpired by the getup of Lord Ram. Seeta The wife of Ram in the movie is inspired by Seeta The wife of Lord Ram. In the movie when they saw their amulets and miss each other is also inspired by the Ramayana, when Seeta was abducted and both Lord Ram and Seeta miss each other. ❤
The statues which were shown in last song are the real freedom fighters who died fighting the Britishers at very young age One of them is bhagat singh I love him 😭 And movie is about friendship Director mentioned that
So glad you enjoyed it, y'all actually picked up on a lot of the nuances in the film! I grew up on over-the-top of Tollywood flicks like this, and am glad to see better quality action movies like this being made and recognised Internationally. I hope you get to check out more from the country because this is only one of many unique genres Indian cinema has! 3 Idiots is an all-time classic if you're into some grounded-but-lighthearted satire. And for more Indie/arthouse films, Malayalam movies are a go-to!
The people shown in the end sequence were actual freedom fighters. And the flag in the bridge scene says Vande Mataram which is a freedom call, and the flag at the end says water, forest and land. Which is a simple representation of country.
Loved your reaction.... Please watch SARDAR UDHAM (2021) movie. **It is masterpiece in true sense of the word.** You'll be speechless by the end. Your notions of Indian filmaking will change completely.
25:17 More subtext context (from a white American, so please correct me, experts). The god Vishnu allowed himself to be born as a half-mortal avatar (Ram/Rama, depending on your region) because it was the only way to take out the demon Ravana. (Something something MovieRam diminishing himself to work for the British to defeat them.) Ram married a woman named Sita, who was later kidnapped by Ravana. He enlisted help from Hanuman, son of the wind god, and Hanuman eventually found Sita at Ravana's palace, Lanka, and offered to fly her back to Rama. But she refused, and said that she'd stay there until Rama himself came to rescue her, as was his duty. (In that scene you knew there was more to but didn't know what, Bheem says that Sita shouldn't have to go to Ram, so instead he'll fetch Ram to come to Lanka, where Sita is.) And then, of course, Ram does come to Lanka, there's a big battle in which Ram, a great archer (and yes, the god the shrine in the movie was for), kills many, many demons and eventfully kills Ravana too, by shooting him in just the right spot with the magic weapon. Also also, I also thought that was a kick to end a pregnancy, when I first saw it, but that wouldn't make sense for the endlessly-faithful Sita who hadn't seen Ram in for years. Still, ouch.
As for the movies recommendations you're getting, from an American perspective: 3 Idiots is fine and good, but it's comedy drama romance (no action) and it's a little dated. Feels heavy handed with its moral, to Americans. It's a classic for a reason, but it's a wildly different feel from RRR, and probably not Manly Movie material. KGF and Bahubali and Pushpa and Sardar Udham, etc, I haven't seen yet, but they seem more in the spirit of RRR in terms of action and drama. I hear the Bahubalis aren't as sophisticated in CGI and are more of a stretch with the physics, but with RRR for context, you might be good. I think they're still from Southern India, with all the fantastic frenetic action and dancing that implies. Eega may be a revenge action epic, but the main character has been reincarnated into a fly, with all the silliness and CGI that entails, so... do what you will. Andhadhun is a fun thriller, and it's mostly understated on the songs, but its focus is more on surprise and suspense than on a really cohesive story. It's great if you like plot twists, and probably decent for both reactions and Manly Movie night. Bajiro Mastani is a pretty good pick for similarities in terms of action adventure period piece (pre-Britain) that's absolutely lavish visually and has fantastic musical numbers. It's actual Bollywood, and it's got some of today's biggest Hindi language stars. Much less romance, sorry, and much more romance, but not to the point it feels like a soulless Hallmark movie. I'd be most excited if you did this one, but I'd watch the others, too.
Bahubali 1 and 2 Makki (eega) Magadheera Are the stupendous movies from the same director. You can't miss it. Bahubali is another epic seriously and makki movie you will love it for sure... Don't miss guys I like your commentry.. you guys really different level.. Kudos
The Statue that you see in 2nd half of movie is of Shree Ram (Lord Rama) a god like figure from Indian epic of Ramayana. A movie is about to release based on Ram & Ramayana on june 16 called Adipurush and you guys should also check out its trailers.
I love a movie that sets up a story in the first act, and then goes back to recontextualize everything you thought you knew in the second act. The Handmaid (2016) does this at well.
This was my first time coming across the channel and I loved your reaction to it. This movie is such a good time. The song from the first dance number won an oscar.
Had a lot of fun watching your reaction. I am sharing a few things regarding the discussion you guys had at the end. 1)As pointed out in earlier comments, it is a historical fiction film about two revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought for the freedom of India from imperial rule but never met in real life. 2)India got its freedom not in 1927 but in 1947. It was a result of countless sacrifices of our brave leaders some of whom were paid homage in the song at the end of the movie. Some of them include Vallabhai Patel, Subash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. 3)Regarding the question of at which end of the political spectrum the movie leans, well it doesn't actually. Apart from celebrating the two revolutionaries, it pays due respect to all the leaders of different regions of India (as seen at the end of the movie in the song) irrespective of their political positions. It caters to the patriotic sentiments of all the Indians and serves as a reminder of their struggle against imperial rule.

Those were all freedom fighters and great revolutionary in that last song like Shubhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Queen Laxmi Bai, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It was a tribute.
The statue you were talking about was Lord Ram, from the ancient history epic Ramayana. Short context of Ramayana: Ram had to fought delon king "Ravan" in order to save his abducted wife "Sita".
Jal (Water) Jungle (Forest) Jammen (Land), is what written on that flag, which is the main cause for the freedom fighter BHEEM. that is what was written and given by RAM to BHEEM on a white color flag with his blood
Those were the bikes which were used in WW2 and they were made so less weight that soldiers could carry . So it can be carried with your bare hands by 1 person. That's available on Google too.
That's actually the statue of Lord RAM,from Ramayana. Freedom fighter Alluri Sita RAMA Raju adopted Lord Rama's attire. And here he is played by RAM Charan. Wowowwowow.
I was literally far left guy throughout the movie. I too didn’t give up on Ram, not even a single moment. In fact I loved his character the most. He just got me right off the bat
This is probably the Best reaction on RRR available on RUclips ..I must say just had so much fun watching your Reaction, it felt like I was also watching the film again with you guys on that couch... Much Love ❤ You guys should do more reactions like this... That Statue is in the Climax is of God RAM..that moustache guy(Ramcharan) is shown as the Embodiment of God RAM..
The first slogan on the flag is “Vande Mataram” it’s like saying “Salute to motherland” and the slogan on the flag in the end is “Jal Jungle Jamin” which literally means “Water Jungle Land” but the message is the water, forest and the land belongs to the tribes that reside in the jungle, demanding their right to those resources. The first slogan is a national one that everyone rallied behind and the second one was coined by Komram Bheem the original revolutionary Jr. NTR (Aktar/Bheem) is portraying here. Hope this helps.
Just watched this movie last week (last year did not see any of this come by for me also due to some problems, but a youtube video put me on this). I have seen this movie 5 times now and watched it with my mom who loved it. It is an amazing movie, the 3 hours flew by, I had smile on my face the whole time. The Statue is of LORD RAMA, he was the EMPEROR of Ayodhya kingdom, he is known for his values and righteousness. He is considered the epitome of how a human male should live their life. He is also a Human AVATAR of Lord Vishnu a god in hindu history.
Guys when that guy promises to sita that he will bring him back that is referring to hanuman(that’s why he is so strong) even Babubali was made referring to RAMAYANA. Thank you for reacting on this movie🙏🏽
Though the director has said that there can be a sequel but there won't be because he said that just for saying purpose as he had not planned for a sequel this movie is complete in it's own sense . The director is going for a next project which will be a blast search about that

A few comments on the movie on details you might have missed:
1) The bridge-rescue scene forshadows the movie! 3) The vertical line drawn by someone on someone elses forehead is a blessing:
Sita does it in Rams home village, and blesses him in the name of mother Godevari (the river goddess of that part of the land).
The people in the song at the end were freedom fighters from other regions of india:
- Subhas Chandra Bose (1897 - 1945) from Bengal
- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875 - 1950) from Gujarat
- Rani Kittur Chennamma (1778 - 1829) from Karnataka
- V.O. Chidambaram Pillai (1872 - 1936) from Tamil Nadu
- Bhagat Singh (1907 - 1931) from Punjab
- Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu (1872 - 1957) from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
- Varma Pazhassi Raja (1773 - 1805) from Kerala
- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (1630 - 1680) presenting Western, Southern and Central India
7) Jennys last scene in the movie was planned to be helping Bheem with the plans (showing him the map) to free Ram. She was added digitally for the reuniting scene when the truck reached Rams people, and also in the end song, because the british actress thought it was the right thing to do and wanted to be part of it. SS Rajamouli was very positively surprised and happily added her to these scenes.
Bruh...hope the SSR see's this comment !!! Good Observation
Very informative
Great comment! Thank you, good sir!
Hat's off
thanks buddy for this information
These guys are huge stars on their own...with their own massive fan following and this is the first time a director "dared "😊to bring them together in a movie.
Ahh actually rajamouli had been their friend.I think he was the who launched both of them.
These 'huge' stars are because of Rajamouli in first place(Simhadri /Magadheera).
They should be in debt for life because of SSR brilliance.
All thanks to covid, netflix & global audience boredom made this movie a huge success.
@@shreeshanthkadam Wrong
Both made movies before working with SSR
NTR had seen massive success prior to making movie with Rajamouli.
But Ramcharan was made into Star all thanks to Rajamouli.
@@ReluctantSpirit bro you need to check out his wiki.
@@shreeshanthkadam Your statement is nonsensical..Elaborate on what your talking about.
IMO *Bahubali* and *Bahubali 2* are _must-see_ films now! 🥰
Ofcourse 100%
Definitely specially the climax of part2 where they sling from the trees is a must watch.

American cinema needs to start stepping it up.
agreed!
Yo! Appreciate the context!

Watching this in theatre was an experience.
If interested, watch out for the space @Civilizational Bridge for content regarding some contextual references. You can always critique it. Thank you.

He has been drinking a lot and I'm pretty sure the climate is very cool. It is natural. Not to shy, not to hold.
The “Vande Mataram” on the flag roughly means “Respect to Mother”. The “mother” here being Bharata Mata, i.e. Mother India.
Next should be bahubali 1 and 2 from same director.. You will love it...
The statues which were shown in last song are the real freedom fighters who died fighting the Britishers at very young age
One of them is bhagat singh
I love him 😭
And movie is about friendship
Director mentioned that
So glad you enjoyed it, y'all actually picked up on a lot of the nuances in the film!
Scott simping for ram is literally my fav part of this vid lmfao

The movie was about friendship between to opposite strong forces . They are real life buddies
25:17 More subtext context (from a white American, so please correct me, experts).
The god Vishnu allowed himself to be born as a half-mortal avatar (Ram/Rama, depending on your region) because it was the only way to take out the demon Ravana. (Something something MovieRam diminishing himself to work for the British to defeat them.)
Ram married a woman named Sita, who was later kidnapped by Ravana. He enlisted help from Hanuman, son of the wind god, and Hanuman eventually found Sita at Ravana's palace, Lanka, and offered to fly her back to Rama. But she refused, and said that she'd stay there until Rama himself came to rescue her, as was his duty. (In that scene you knew there was more to but didn't know what, Bheem says that Sita shouldn't have to go to Ram, so instead he'll fetch Ram to come to Lanka, where Sita is.)
And then, of course, Ram does come to Lanka, there's a big battle in which Ram, a great archer (and yes, the god the shrine in the movie was for), kills many, many demons and eventfully kills Ravana too, by shooting him in just the right spot with the magic weapon.
Also also, I also thought that was a kick to end a pregnancy, when I first saw it, but that wouldn't make sense for the endlessly-faithful Sita who hadn't seen Ram in for years. Still, ouch.
As for the movies recommendations you're getting, from an American perspective:
3 Idiots is fine and good, but it's comedy drama romance (no action) and it's a little dated.
Watch EEGA from the same director...Its his Best Work...

If you need a glimpse of what actually Britishers did in India. Just read about JALIYANWALA BAGH KAND it's officially written in history
