Actually that's how we traditionally played fighting games before we learned about framedata and studied guides. Even some veterans of the franchise really started to learn how to play with 7 because of abundance of guides and streams.

Why law has less moves 'taking' from ground during combo than paul?
Look like 70-80 damage to me normal rage drive damage, the difference being you have to land a combo with everybody else but Paul's always got the godfist cheese.

well you dont really need to do slide mixups if you opponent just eats random launchers and does unsafe moves so frequently

Could you do a video on how to get out of low ranks ? Because I’m trying to get my rank up (I very rarely play online) but I keep losing to low ranks 😡 Usually when you play against someone you try to exploit the weaknesses of their character or their weaknesses as a player; like, they have a pattern that you try to work around; but people in low ranks don’t have a strategy they just do things out of nowhere.
Brother if they're just doing random shit you wait for openings while blocking or you sidestep whatever unblockable they have. Also consider spacing and making them whiff. You don't even need to do any sick combos, all you need is to have more hp than your opponent to win.
Basically, patience and calming down is key with those goobers.

To add to what Ty said, there's a good chance those folks are doing plenty of unsafe moves that could be punished. So just play safe and let them over commit
Do you analyze your replays? Watch them and try to figure out the point where you lost. Even these players have a strategy, the thing is, they only have one and it's not that good.
Edit also you very rarely play, at a certain point volume makes a difference. Watch your replays, figure out why you lose, and keep playing.

Fundamentally, he has good punishes... he adapts very well, he sidesteps when needed, he ducks the strings at times.
Those alone would destroy 80% of the people shitting on him.
It's also pretty obvious he has good character mastery.
On - frames, he abuses the parry. He does a lot of high crush on point. Abuses the throws since TMM doesn't break them.
He mixes a lot of the moves enough that you just don't know what the fuck he's doing.
But *CLEARLY* he knows what he's doing, that's why he's at the top ranks.
Trust me, if he didn't know what he's doing, TMM would've absolutely crushed this guy.

Tonic knows, the only counter to greater skill is experience. It takes time, but eventually you see he is just flowcharting. I had lots of fun breaking him with my Yoshi.
