    MSI GS75 will be the thinnest and first 17" GTX in Jan. Area 51 has no gaurantee that nvidia will bring out a compatible upgrade beyond 2080, so why not just get a 2080 ?

    The big thing for me at CES 2019 was the Alienware Area 51m. I wish Tekthing would ask Dell for a review unit of that laptop. You can upgrade all the components. Talk about future proofing.

    I think I could live with a hole in the screen for a small webcam. Kind of like the phones that are coming out. Speaking of which, why don't they put cell phone cameras in laptops. My front facing note 9 camera is tiny and can record 4k 30fps.

    • @aquinamedia4508
      @aquinamedia4508 5 лет назад

      Had the same thought for ages, why not use phone sensors rather than the crap that often is installed... Then again, I have piece of electrical tape over my cameras anyway 😂

    • @Tekthing
      @Tekthing  5 лет назад +1

      If memory serves the "Z" or depth of the cell phone cameras is way thicker than the lids on a laptop could take. Also, those high quality cell phone cameras are -expensive- by comparison.

    • @johnnythegeek
      @johnnythegeek 5 лет назад

      @@Tekthing Maybe they can make a camera bump like on cell phones and counter sink the palm rest. Just don't get any crumbs in that counter sink.

    Just as with the 3D TVs that were a complete waste of time, I don't see a reason for TVs that can roll up into a box or a TV that will let the wall it's hanging on show through.

    • @Tekthing
      @Tekthing  5 лет назад

      It's for folks living in small spaces, or that find a big empty black 65" screen just sitting there kinda irritating. Yes, you could display art or something, ala Samsung's The Frame TV, but that's a lot of electricity to burn! -Patrick

      @@Tekthing That is not how it works, the 1070 starts from $300 on new egg right now.
      Normally with every new generation u should have MORE performance but at the SAME price fromt the last generation. This is what evolution in technology should be.
      Did all the tech industry journalists got brainwashed or bought by Nvidia these days?

    • @HowDareYouu
      @HowDareYouu 5 лет назад +1
