Likewise. It does show how far Edinburgh are off the mark, though. Presumably both teams have similar budgets and levels of support in terms of analysts, back room staff etc.
Personally I’m hoping for Everitt to go and a coach that can come in and inject a bit of club culture. Doesn’t feel like the team are playing for each other at all and a back line of DvdM, Darcy, Bofelli, Goosen, Kinghorn (partially) only delivered 5 bonus points all season. What the hell is going on there is anyone’s guess but my bet is that the fish rots from the head down.

What a performance, Franco instilled some serious resilience with these boys. I had my doubts after our SA tour, but we did it the hard way and brought home the title! Matt Fagerson a deserved motm, his back row colleagues equally relentless, but brother Zander is a player I still feel is underrated, very busy today, scrum wasn’t perfect, but he did get one penalty but was very active in the loose and one of our best carriers. Remember he has played 230 out of our last 240 minutes! Special mention as well to Henco Venter, after Darge had worked himself to the ground Venter did his best Kwagga Smith impression and brought real impact off the bench and gave a tiring defence some headaches.
Crowd sounded deafening, apologies for leaving you with nothing to shout about tonight and also thought the ref got the big decisions right. I think we probably rode a bit of luck not getting a “team yellow” and TJ a little fortunate to not see red, seen those given. But I don’t think either side will be blaming the ref and he deserves credit in a world where refs are frequently crucified on social media post match.
Finally poured myself a generous whisky and will enjoy this moment as a fan. My wife will be delighted about some respite from rugby (until the summers tests)!

@@iansinclair7581 I am! In my opinion he was always trying to be as fair as possible, calling faults from both sides equally, making always sure to listen to the players of the other team if they thought he might have made a wrong decision (such as when a fault had been called in favour of the bulls next to the warrior’s try line and Stayne told Piardi that the ball carrier had rolled too much in the ruck, Piardi listened to him but then clarified that the warrior’s fault happened before the roll). He made calls in favour of both sides (such as the 5 secs rule in the first half or the yellow card in the second). In my opinion it was a very, very tough match to ref with many difficult and not obvious decisions to take, but Piardi was outstanding.

I strongly suspect that the disallowed `early tackle try` should have been allowed. On my card at least, the pass that did not go to hand was forward, and the pass was made before the tackle.

What a great final. Congratulations to the Glasgow Warriors - deserved winners. Bulls fans will be frustrated by the failure of their offense to show patience when dealing with the opponents defensive structures and the 3 Yellow Cards that gave the Bulls numerical advantage. Questions have to be asked about the Bulls persistence in sending one out runners against the heart of the Glasgow defense all game. This was a carbon copy of what Munster did last Saturday and, Guess What? That tactic didn't work either time. Glasgow never had more than 2 men in the tackle-breakdown area all day UNLESS there was a chance of a turnover. That tactic allowed them to keep the Bulls from spinning the ball wide to the wingers - has to have been one of the quietest games I have seen Arendse play in forever. The Warriors tackling was exemplary. Their maul was at Springboks level of class & power. As a few Bulls fans have remarked here, it's hard to understand why the Bulls kept going to the corner when they had points off the tee on offer. The Warriors had established dominance in the scrums & mauls as the game went on, meaning the Bulls had to change to counter that - they didn't.
As a neutral fan, this makes the URC so much more competitive and enjoyable. Great Atmosphere & Fans in the stadium. A big thank you to the teams who have made this league so much better. Roll on 2024-25 season.

As I said after Glasgow beat my beloved Munster, I said I hope I won't be considered presumptuous if I say you may thank Glasgow now but you may not thank them after the match in Pretoria. So I was right and I also said Glasgow to win. The Bulls did not learn anything from the time Munster beat the Bulls in there own back yard everyone in Pretoria twice, we have the home advantage and altitude cant loose, didn't stop Munster from winning and the same applies to Glasgow! The same euphoria applied to the Glasgow game big mistake! Also you think you have the game won before you even kick a ball, huge mistake, the Bulls for all they had going for them in there favour not good enough on match day you have to be able to play for 80 minutes not 40 yet again with the bulls. Please do not get me wrong the Bulls are a very good side no question. What is going on in the background, I do not know? Congratulations to Glasgow great tough out game kudos.

Fully deserved Glasgow win. They should have won by more. I thought that try should not have been marked off for that tackle on Kurt-Lee. The timing looked perfect to me.
That loss by Leinster last week looks really bad for Leinster now. Loved seeing Glasgow win but it depresses me how Leinster have fallen this year. It will be interesting to see how those players react in South Africa next month. If Ireland play wel, and the attack looks sharp, l it would be a big sign that Leinster are in real need of change in management.

I've not watched the game or the highlights yet, so this might be a misinformed hot take (yes I came to you first Two Cents - thank you for the excellent content).
Listening to the stats given, you'd think it would have been an emphatic win for Glasgow. Does this demonstrate that Scottish teams (including the international team) have to be significantly better than the opposition to get a win? I do think there is an expectation of who "should" win from referees which leads them to make decisions biased towards the favoured team.
This phenomenon is far from an anti Scottish bias, I just notice it because that's who I tend to watch. A glaring example is the 2011 World Cup final where France were refereed with very different standards than NZ and were, frankly, robbed.
