Thank you Mark for post match review. I stay in Durban and support the Sharks so I was a neutral supporter last night. Big credit for Glasgow Warriors to come out victors at an intimidating Loftus stacked with Bulls fans.
    Cheers.

Hola Durban.....yes Loftus was brilliant to see, and what a job those Warriors did. Good luck the Sharks in 2025.

Many congrats to the Warriors. They played with heart, guts and determination right to the very end. Even the altitude didn't seem to get to them. That's what warriors are made of.
A fantastic performance and a great result for Scottish rugby.
A message to Leo Cullen: you can have all these great players and loads of resources but sometimes all it takes is to be warriors to win big finals. Leinster lacked that this year. So a big lesson learned there perhaps.
Hopefully the Irish team will silence Loftus again in two weeks time.
"Hopefully" being the operative word 😀

Thanks so much for the comment, yes, many teams I feel could learn something from the Warrior mentality.

Franco said at the end of the Munster game there would be no excuses against the Bulls due to travel, altitude etc. As a Glasgow fan in the last ten minutes i lost all my finger nails😂. The boys did themselves and Glasgow proud and the Bulls played their hearts out too, just a brilliant game of rugby with no quarter given.

Exactly how I saw it, missing finger nails and all. Thanks for the comment

Hi Mark, we all got our predictions wrong. Bulls were supposed to be the stronger side during the second half. What Franco and his warriors have shown us is how to overpower a strong forward pack with solid defense and attacking IQ. Balance is necessary, but I believe that the Bulls will be even stronger next year.

Ha, ha we did. I think this loss will make the Bulls stronger in 2025 for sure. It was a very good game and what world rugby needs. Thanks for the comment

You have the best rugby channel on the net. Marco van Staden must start for the Boks, what a flank. Pity the bulls lost in front of a full Loftus. Thanks

First 20 mins for any team playing at altitude are always the toughest. That is when the altitude really hits. Lungs burning, heavy legs etc. I was not surprised Bulls were on top early. The question was could Glasgow stay in touching distance. They did, barely and in 2nd half fair to say they dominated. Frankly Glasgow should've won the game by more.

Not sure what match you were watching Mark, if you think the Bulls scrum “basically annihilated” Glasgow’s?
Watch the presser after the match where Franco explains that the Warriors beat the Bulls by attacking their strength: physicality and the set-piece.
They out-bulled the Bulls, they were fitter, and the Bulls ended the more tired outfit.

The 2 penalties at the end, Bulls wpuld have taken a scrum ( with a back Sent off) if glasgow hadn't won every scrum in the second half

Superb Glasgow! Weathered the storm then just got better & better. Best team won. Poor form from Jake White in his post match comments. Sour grapes or what. Showed no real respect to the winners. Recognise he was still emotional but come on. Far more respect from the Bulls fans tho who showed a bit more class

Scots beat the Irish Munster at home and had to travel to Africa to beat the African bulls at home so lets give a bit of credit for the Scots.

The running out of energy narrative is misleading. In pool game going into last 15 mins Glasgow was trailing 37 to 10. They roared back in that last 15 mins and almost won that game.
I was far more worried about opening 30 mins. People really misunderstand altitude. The worst period is always the initial minutes. Then the body makes a short-term adjustment that usually lasts a day or so.
