Why are you even comparing these games? Also you are summing up that an entire community is worse than another, when in this video it shows people making bad and good points in said "reasonable community". Same thing can be made for a game like aut. Some people have dumb points, some people have good points.
@@jasonjobst Because most of the comments in the Entry Point video are actually reasonable, unlike the comments in RiU, Blox Fruit and bee game. I know there are actually some reasonable comments in the aforementioned games, but the ratio between them and EP's is massive. That's why Eclipse didn't do a Daily Dose of Stupid. That being said, it's not like Eclipse's video on EP was reasonable, either. So that's probably why the comments look reasonable.
In loud, you don't normally use drills on doors, you normally use explosives like the Thumper, C4, and breaching charges because they are much quicker and there shouldn't be too many doors that you cannot use them in, the most being in Black Dusk, which requires 4-6 doors, depending on your strategy. In stealth, there's a perk called Precision drilling which NPCs can't see the broken door when it's closed (although lockpicks are better in every way). Drills are by far one of the least used equipments in challenge running and speedruns. I think this video serves as a fine example of how bad the tutorial is, since there's such a high skill difference that you have a learn between it and the missions. Watching what other people do before playing would make learning the game's mechanics much easier to learn and grasp. Stealth and loud are played best when you go on higher difficulties, since you actually have to take cover and make different strategies for each mission. There are also some challenge running strategies like wavecounting and moonwalking which increases the potential of challenge runs even more.
I think why people think that the stealth is a good is because how much it plays out like a puzzle game sometimes, it's really fun that the dev intentionally redesign some of the parts in the mission to be harder/different on higher difficulties so you have to work around them too. so I guess there is a lot of satisfaction when you finally figure out and execute your strategy well this is all possible thanks to the stealth portion being more based on hitman and not payday
Although at first drills are quite useless, as they can see the broken door, you can quite easily get a perk (within a few levels if you start as a hacker or engineer) that addresses this exact problem, allowing you to drill doors without them being broken. Also although drills do take ages, you can make them go a lot faster through the skill tree, although I agree that sitting waiting for you to finish drilling is an issue when you first start playing.
The main point of the silent drill in stealth is to break open steel doors which are unbreakable with pistols. Examples such as the basement camera operator room. He missed that.
the problem is unless you have the lockpick or got the perk from hacer/engineer, there is almost no way you can do stealth so youre pretty much forced to play loud
@@somenoob105 That's true, but there are some missions like The Deposit, Killhouse, Blacksite and probably more. Now that I think about it, there are a lot more missions that you can do without thief or precision drilling. But Financier is probably the only exception.
Loud is an intended mechanic, yes, and the problems you mention get fixed by: 1. Higher difficulty modes 2. Perks in the skill tree. Being an immortal wall was just because you played in easy mode. Opening doors can be easily executed by either bringing the Thumper, Blowtorch, or Breaching Charges. Loud is kind of unfun when your character is low leveled, and when you're alone. But it can get very fun when you're higher leveled and bring friends with you.
@@Znipe20 nuh uh, I don't have nearly enough masochism to find challenge runs more fun than playing together with friends. Or find fun in completing challenge runs in general.
Stealth missions are easy on Legend difficulty, but require you to memorize unintuitive strategies/mechanics that the game never teaches you. Some of these include: - Partially filling the detection bar of cameras/NPCs to force certain actions - Shooting silenced pistols near NPCs to force them to stop moving and/or look toward a certain direction - Taking out NPCs who are standing still so that no other NPC will ever walk to that position again (only exception is Blacksite) - Leaning through certain walls to see what's on the other side - In Blacksite specifically, the most reliable strategy involves climbing over a shipping container by _jumping against it while shaking the mouse_ - In Lakehouse specifically, _shooting through bulletproof glass_ with a silenced shotgun to immediately open a door and save 30 seconds - Cameras can see the player while they are inside a bush, which can get you a disguise in certain situations
The game never teaches you this most likely because it's legend. By the time you have enough confidence to try, you've probably played enough to know most of these mechanics.
I think thelakehouse part is completely an unintened glitch that most likely wont get fixed since the owner is working on another game and i think forgot about entry point
Yeah some of these mechanics in the game like luring or shooting a gun to hold someone in place are either completely wack, never taught, or are inconsistent. Like vault opening for the deposit and withdrawl usually raises someone’s attention, but doesn’t happen in black dusk, the most important thing for the people who run the site? For The Deposit, you can lure a guard into a cubicle to take him out like its a comedy comic strip. Some of these things either just should have been taught or not work because they were nonsensical and be reiterated into something better.
To answer your question at 11:06 It is because the game is designed in such a way that neither mode is canon. And some people don't enjoy stealth. There's only so much you can do in one way or the other. And it's there to have you think on your feet it's not fun to do that especially in ironman mode, where if you die once, your run is over. There are missions that are stealth/loud only. But that's because they're meant to be that way inside of the canon. Which brings me to my next point and something that I'm confused as why you didn't bring it up the lore and story. The story isn't sappy by any means, I don't mean to be rude, but it is much more than some bittersweet story of two people on a quest for revenge. And that would be apparent if you spared time to watch the cutscenes, read mission briefings, and even took a look at the DLC. On the topic of the canon, if you paid closer attention, there's something called the Lock. It's a small transparent bar that you can type into, and if the code is real, it gives you an extended file containing information on characters, events, and places. Each mission has a Lock code, and by entering it, you receive a file. Which contains info ranging from personnel files to transcriptions and conversations. This is where Entry Point shines, it's stealth gameplay, and it's story. Because almost no Roblox games have either. And at the end of the day, Entry Point *doesn't* have a satisfying ending. It doesn't have a climactic finale complete with explosions and bad guys getting killed. It's not meant to. It's a story about betrayal, loss, and above all, revenge. the closing line of the game is "In the end, we got what we wanted. Was it worth it? Did we make a difference?" We don't play Entry Point *just* for the gameplay. We also play it for it's story. And that is something that you missed
Ironman mode is simple; You and up to four players play each free to play mission in timeline order. Whenever you complete a mission Stealth, enemies get more attentive. Each time you complete a mission loud you get enemies get tougher and deal more damage. When your character dies, you are out of the run.
17:56 He was referring to when you said something along the lines of "You are a wall and practically unkillable" and how on black dusk legend even with aegis armor you'd still get ripped to pieces because bullets now hurt
Hey eclipse, the silent drill is actually usable in stealth, but the bad thing is that it's basically locked behind this perk. The specific perk being called "precision drilling" which allows you to close every door that you've drilled. Without that perk the silent drill would only ever be used for like a door that no guard goes to or you're drilling through the sensors for a vault so you won't ring the alarm after stepping in it. Stealth has flaws, the biggest one being of course that it's mostly rng dependent. Stealth is indeed how the creators want you to play, but the stealth tutorial is just simply not good enough to actually teach you how to do stealth missions, as for loud you just go guns blazing and do whatever you're told to do. The engineer class that you chose is primarily used for loud missions like the mercenary, unlike the hacker and thief which prioritize on getting in stealth and of course, securing something or eliminating said npcs. I do remember the first time I ever played entry point, I basically failed every mission when I went stealth so I had to do it like you. With some time and practise you do get to learn stealth, but as you said it takes remembering where npcs go, where cameras spawn so you don't fuck up something, what you SPECIFICALLY need for set mission, etc. I don't expect you to play or talk about entry point on your channel again, and it's probably for the better as this game won't be getting any new content anyways, since the developers stopped working on it. Hope I told you something useful ( if you even read this, that is)
*POV: You decided to play stealth as a Mercenary instead of an Infiltraitormatermasterbaiter. **_(Rookie Mistake)_* In all seriousness I am so glad we can have a civil discussion about my favorite game and not devolve into pointless name calling. Keep up the good work, Eclipse!
lemme add I think there's only 1-3 doors that actually can be drilled with the drills used on small safes in ALL of payday 2 (hoxton breakout is the only one i know)
16:10 I would like to point out that yes, as a base character, doors will ALWAYS be broken by either drill, HOWEVER, there is a perk called "Precision Drilling" that makes it so you can open and close doors you drill, and guards will only detect it if you leave the door open or if they interact with the door, which incentivizes you to be strategic about which door you drill (if any) Stealth is entirely possible on any class, you just have to play your cards right
I think your initial criticisms were valid in that the game didn't teach you how to advance and play properly... Kind of like every new player, but I'm glad, like every new player, you took advice from the community to crack open the heart of the game. Thanks for listening!
I feel like entry point should have a tutorial and then a separate tutorial for like level 20 to teach luring and getting out of sticky situations and all that
@shoeskehigashikata7125 If Entry Point was able to integrate the tutorial with missions, it'd make for a much smoother, easier to absorb experience. EP is still at its peak for concurrent playercounts, so it's not too late to change it, cish!!!11
glad that you admitted to the fact you were wrong about a few things. also in the skill tree, you can get an upgrade that allows you to close drilled doors though I'd throw that in
So uh, there is a perk who allows you to dripp open dors, without "fully breaking" them. The can be still closed/opened but the npcs will find it as "broken" if the door is found in a opened state. Here is a gamer tip: you can make (most of) the npcs surrender by just aiming the gun at them (while being relativley close )and interrogate some specific ones
Im biased but Generally the EP Community is a Bit more mature than other ones. Many people have already played PD2 and know how it plays. PD2 is focusing on loud (i mean duh you dont Bring a Rocket Launcher to stealth) and Generally more diffrent enemies (entry Point has Like 4: guard, Police, Sniper and SWAT). Bruh was what I said so controversial?
yeah entry point suffers a lot from lack of enemy diversity, theres like 4 different types as you brought up: Standard guard, Sniper, Foot soldier and Aegis (or heavily armored).
ok so first *laughs in Aegis units* Also because would you look at that, a community that prefers stealth (precise, skill-requiring, chad) would be more mature than the rest of the first person shooter (unga bunga, press a button to kill, beta) Roblox games. And this mainly counts only towards roblox because EP pushes away the majority of the children over there, but other shooters like TF2 have a higher age range
Looking back at Entry Point is interesting since it is definitely a flawed game, but it has its fun moments. My favorite way to play was with an inflitator/mercenary build (commando) and just rushing through a mission in stealth as fast and as far as possible, and then when it inevitably went loud, grab mid-tier armor and my rifle and just shred through the rest of it with a few friends. Entry point isn't a great game, but at least it is fun for some people and can be pretty funny and chaotic with friends.
For its genre and the fact that it's a Roblox game, it is a masterpiece in its league. I do agree that the game fails miserably at teaching you to actually stealth, but boy does it reward the players who actually do take their time and learn more about the game.
Same! Entry point can be quite enjoyable but it seems like sadly it did not get enough support to be even greater. Just imagine if it had reached up to 10k or even 100k players like for example there could have been better tutorials for new players as well as more features to motivate them more into playing, more realism, voice acting etc. Really unlimited potential but I guess Roblox will continue to favor simulator games that exploit kids:(
That's not rare at all. I miss stuff all the time because I'm a human being, the surprising part was the general maturity of the people that were upset with me missing things.
@@EclipseGameplays hey i like entry point, if you dont like stealth or loud, is fine, I believe that people do not understand that we are human and that is why we have different opinions and TASTES. Thanks for explaining your points, as the previous video had some things where you were wrong and people assumed that you was wrong in everything, I also say that entry point is very bad at explaining things to new players, I think that if you knew all that the game can offer there is a chance that you will like it, but you are not obliged to do it since the process can be slow and for a busy person like you, it should be in the background, good day or night.
i kinda respect your opinion, most people watch ep related content to this day even tho the game was finished 2 years ago because they praise the game more than god
Oh lord some kids are upset at eclipse calling out a game in a kind and justified way? Lets see it Edit: oh shit they have arguments, that's a nice change
@@earn6890 and I appreciate that, it's a nice break from places like yba, honestly a community that can think is much more welcome than the ones we come from
You made a slight mistake. If you really want to use a drill on a door on Stealth there’s a perk which allows you to hide the broken door aspect, and only if a guard uses that door or is very close, it will notify. I know Stealth isn’t your strong point, but Shadow war is nice, and daily challenges is a nice little aspect to it as well.
He said that the class system is a beginner's trap. he specifically specified that it was a beginner's trap. If you are on level 1 or 9 you just can't get the drill perk so I can't say he's wrong
@@torbith5374 Well, using a guy specialised in explosives and then complaining it's hard to do stealth with it is pretty stupid in my opinion. Like, obviously the guys who's perk is using C4 isn't going to be too good for stealth. If he started as a hacker and complained about it then I would get where he's coming from.
@@nightowl6055id like to point out were aruging about drills which are literaly suppost to be bare minmum ways of breaching doors. I dont understand why he doesnt realize lockpicks are better because they dont just bust open doors.
I would honestly consider them more of a AA studio than AAA, they don't have the big budget and manpower like ID Software, Arkane or Riot but also aren't as limited as indie devs Best studio that I know and can compare them to is Croteam
Random tangent about stealth. I think that entry point’s stealth is pretty streamlined. As in its incredibly straightforward. Which achieves two things, one it gives you a simple objective to follow, but two, it gets really boring as you aren’t provided the option to try new things. The game improves on this in the freelancer’s heist dlc where objectives are a little more vague. You are there to choose your own path on doing the mission with a good bit of guidance. Although this sucks cause it’s not in the main game, but a dlc.
I agree. For me, the 'magic' of doing the stealth missions and becoming good at them disappeared when I, well, got good at them. There was nothing else to figure out since everything from the optimal paths from point A to B to the best way or order to do things had been learnt, and I personally think this is the game's biggest flaw aside from its relatively shallow stealth mechanics.
there is a thing that prevents them from being stuck open, but if an npc sees it open or opens it, they'll use their arcane arts to determine it's you even if they've never seen you. So, drills are still obsolete.
but when some npcs see a person with a weapon who isnt meant to be there, as long as they see them for less than 10 seconds the memory entirely wipes out from their brain
This is like playing a Roblox Jojos game, not getting a stand, and thinking it's bad. Certain perks unlocks certain things, lockpicks, for example, are really good because they get you through locked doors without breaking them.
Eclipse, I personally enjoy stealth, but certain missions actually work better in seperate types, the earlier missions generally do best in the loud setting, because there are few guards. whereas later missions much more heavily arm the main base, making stealth to best way to go about it
@SimpleyDoes The K45 isn't the most powerful pistol, the Raven is It doesn't matter if they work in groups when they all get killed by 1 shot and if you memorize their waypoints you can't realistically be surprised by them, you usually don't take damage from them at all but even if you do it isn't a huge issue unless your skill tree is weak like I said
Eclipse, the reason you got detected when you used the silent drill is because NPC's can tell when you break open locks on doors. So even if they can't hear it they can still see it if the door is broken open.
It's entirely possible to lure guards with noise to open doors (preferably civilians) so ur not out of options with a loud build, stealth on a higher difficulty basically makes the camera position random and removes all easy break-in routes lol.
Alright, in this game exists something like hybrid classes which make you able to mix engineer with thief. you can find bigger peark with huge drill on it, read description of it.
People are mostly complaining about difficulty because the game is a lot less fun on lower difficulty for the players recommending it (people who have been playing for years), infact even the loud missions become more fun on higher difficulties.
people are not saying loud sucks but its just a alternatle plan like i think they were just saying stealth is better and i agree but if u like loud its all ur decision, i mean its fun but stealth is just faster
@@thedreamleader if you get Intel on safe location (which ain't necessary but will help a lot) yes -K.O all 3 guards outside -Rewire -Get the safe -Open 1 of 2 very specific doors(one under the helipad that goes in the kitchen or 1 opposite from that secluded room) -Bait Ryan outside, bag and tag and gg It is also one of the only mission you can brute force quickly with a full squad in stealth fairly easily (the other being lakehouse if everyone got deception)
I doubt you will see this comment but, Loud is an intended mechanic and I don’t understand why the community clowns on it so much. Now I understand why I can never get a full loud public lobby. Yes, I do understand that someone new to the game finds it a challenge to play, when I first started I chose Mercenary and tried to stealth. I would end up killing everyone purely because I forgot that v is to knock people out. Anyway never bring C4 to stealth, because it might go boom and alert everyone, and also when using C4, if you can see it, it will kill you. You can drill doors of which they won’t break, which is a perk between Prodigy (Hacker) and Engineer (Engineer). When starting out in stealth it is vital that you get the advanced surveillance perk (pretty sure it’s called that) which looks like a camera next to the hacker, it allows you to loop cameras without guards being lured to it’s location. It also doesn’t count towards the cap of how many cameras you can disable which is 3 on rookie and 2 on legend (I don’t remember the cap on other difficulties). The perk also allows you to disable bullet cameras, which are just dome shaped cameras. Anyway these are just the basics of the game that you learn pretty quickly, and having hundreds if not thousands of hours in the game does allow you to learn some things.
False, i put a c4 behind me and try to walk away and look like a cool dude walking away from a cutscene explosion ( i planted 7 extras at the back of the crates) and thats how i failed a blacksite daily.
While as a entry point stealth fan, 1 thing I want to say is - you can do stealth with out ability of open doors(there is only a few you can't). Even so usually we don't normally play stealth like this, but you can choose to lure every guards out of the building and then break in the place that normal citizen can not see. As long as you do it right you should be able to finish up the mission easily, but this do require a decent amount of understanding of the game.
I think his point with you can't stealth The Financier without breaking doors is actually a valid point. I don't think I've ever stealth it without Thief class.
@@halleyalex7544 em, in theory after disable the alarm, you can lure a npc out and when he come out the door will be open for a period, and you can go in to the building with out break that door, I never try it before but in theory you can . I will test it out some time after this reply.
This DDOS (or daily dose of reasonable) clarifies some things from the EP video, but I still think some of the points you make are unfair. First of all, the biggest issue you still haven't addressed is the difficulties. This was the main argument along with the stealth thing on most of the comments (at least that I saw), and the fact that you ignored it disappoints me. Loud is not fun on rookie. It is simply too easy. You stated that the reason you didn't ever try any higher difficulty is because you thought that the cost of your loadout would outweigh the contract payment, and thus there is no point. This is simply not true. You get payed far more for completing missions on higher difficulties, which i guarantee you pay for your equipment at least twice over. If the game doesn't make this clear then that can be criticized, but I think it is unfair to make a point in your review about something if you have never even tested it or at least looked it up. If you ever get round to trying a higher difficulty ( I recommend operative or elite based on your gameplay, you can probably solo operative and if you get some friends or randoms from a public lobby elite should be good), I think you will enjoy it far more. Reviewing EP based on only rookie is like reviewing YBA based on only fighting thugs and never moving on to bosses or players. The second point is stealth. While I agree with your point saying that it is too hard if you don't have thief class, there are four free character slots so if you fall into the trap of picking the wrong class it doesn't matter too much. I admit this is still an issue with the game and there should be more guidance for new players. However, the stealth system in my opinion can be really fun. You said that you played through the financier on rookie and didn't really get it, but i think it is unfair to judge a whole game based on a single mission (on the easiest difficulty, no less). Personally that is my least favorite stealth mission. I think you should at least spend half an hour on a major feature before making a decision if you want to make reliable reviews. However, maybe stealth just isn't for you and that's Ok. TLDR: I feel you should try higher difficulties and do a couple more stealth missions before making a conclusion. I would love if you revisited the game and had another go at it. This is one of my favorite games on Roblox and I truly believe you would enjoy it if you gave it a chance.
@@EclipseGameplays Didn't expect you to tbh, just would be nice to judge a game based on more than a single mission. btw thank you for responding, you overall make great videos and good luck with branching out from Roblox Jojo.
@@EclipseGameplays You could always just not pretend there’s only 3 points against your review. You could address the others instead of choosing the weakest ones.
About the drills, yes, they aren't typically good for stealth, but there is a perk in the skill tree called precision drilling that allows you to not break doors and be able to close them. However, if a guard interacts with the door, they will notice it's broken, so I do agree that the drills are heavily loud focused. But, in the financier, (2nd mission) with the perk, drilling doors would be fine as no guards use the outside doors. The silent drill also has a few uses, e.g. drilling safes and shutting down sensors.
Buddy loud is there so people wont leave after they mess up i mean the deposit is hard to stealth already and people are gonna quit after 10000 fails so loud is there to give people a chance to win
6:28-6:46 Fair enough about the drill. i agree it can be quite tedious, more so in loud than stealth. Also funny note: Bro brought 4 C4's to obliterate ryan XD.
This is late as hell but id also like to point out that a large part of entry point's experience comes from playing in group lobbies. Like the whole start mission process requires you to create/join groups, and usually people would be accepting only specific roles they needed filled for each team (at least back when the game had more players). I understand tho for reviewing why the game should be able to be played solo, just wanted to explain why so many people say entry point was great.
I literally use both of the loud classes and can solo stealth every single mission. It all comes down to skill points and experience. Practice makes perfect.
for the people who say "bro missed the silent drill for stealth lol he's so dumb" tell me you've never brought a loud drill in stealth, i swear every noob lobby i join theres always that one guy with the loud drill because he doesn't know how drills work.
Eclipse, you should try out Arcane Odyssey! It is a "new" game (still in early access) about magic and stuff. It's really good and honestly the best thing I've seen in roblox in a long time. I won't spoil you anything, so try it out yourself if you want!
I don't understand why people get so passionate and upset when someone doesn't like something that they like, it's not like he's objectively wrong for not finding the game fun (personally I find loud and stealth fun) This was a good response video, admitting your mistakes while also not totally giving in just to appease the crowd, I have to respect that
i found it funny how eclipse used the entrypoint hastag probably expecting results but i guess it helps a bit. Entry point itself is pretty skill based on both loud and stealth and for your first time you did the same as all of us that being not knowing everything trying to figure it out and then decided to shoot up the area in a last ditch effort but eventually go down by the onslaught of cops or whatever your fighting.
The reason loud is still in the game is the same reason loud is still in aragami because it’s not intended to be played like that but some people may enjoy it more
He already have a guess similar to this and aragami is not supposed to be played loud like they can one shot you and pretty sure they have aimbot they also doc points it you get caught.
A guess here, but it's also because of Ironman. This allows for more strategic planning instead of just all stealth. I also think EP would be kinda boring if the game is just all stealth.
15:10 u can use the precision drilling perk but u can't open the door when someone is near or they wil see the broken door when opened but when closed they will see that it isn't broken welp kinda weird of a mechanic but i just get used to that when i use different hybrid characters
as someone who used to play EP like 3-4 years ago, i'd say the game itself a mixed bag the stealth mechanics itself are pretty well done, but the main flaw of stealth is the poor mission design, some mission objectives require you to do incredibly risky stuff that would've fitted payday 2 a lot more instead (the blacksite stealth is the worst offender, where you are forced to sneak through an area filled with guards who can almost instantly spot you no matter if you're wearing a disguise or not) the loud part of the game is unsurprisingly downright atrocious, so that you feel like it's more of a bonus rather than an intended game feature. the guns feel incredibly laggy to shoot and the AI enemies feel more like a health tax (as someone said on the PD2 discord server once) not to mention, the weapon selection is very small and the game relies on having a meta build rather than your own playstyle (there's a reason why most longtime EP players including myself use F57 and CH-A on loud) You could argue however that payday 2 relies mostly on meta builds, but it atleast has some variety to them and lets you pick them accordingly to your playstyle, meanwhile EP with its loud gameplay design forces you to use that one meta build that lets you finish ironman on legend difficulty
You do take a ton more damage in legend compared to rookie, 50 times more in fact. Also in the mission briefing screen you can see the pay you get from completing a mission, which scales with difficulty.
I agree for the most part with the whole character thing, but if you were starting the game you would read what every class is about and then pick which you want for either loud or stealth. You said you liked loud, and so you picked the guy with the bombs.
I still feel like theres a lot wrong with the review so; First of all, the games stealth is good once you get into it. It’s not the best from a beginner perspective, which is a flaw of the games however, it does get much better once you get all the necessary perks and stuff. But once you actually know the system works and you have everything needed it can be quite fun and challenging, believe anyone who have actually played EP for any substantial amount of time can agree on that. Secondly, theres a perk for solving the drilled door issue, but in general you’re not supposed to use drills anyways, you’re supposed to use lockpicks. Also, loud isn’t as horrible as its made out to be, it sure as hell isn’t on par with stealth but it can also be fun at times. Ammo isn’t a major issue if you just play smart. Just pick up ammo after kills and don’t waste an entire mag killing someone and you’ll be fine.
14:07 Ha, playing stealth using an obviously loud character.... ....reminds me when I first played this game, fair point and extra credit for the random comedy (mother of God 4 C4s)
The main thing why people are bringing up stealth in your main video was because you just played through the game in the lowest difficulty, skimmed through the skill tree, and comparing it to Payday 2 without ever proving that it's a carbon copy of Payday 2.
I do think that entry point has a lot of flaws, but you have to remember that it was made by a single person, Cishshato, meaning that re-hauling the entire game just to fix some non-gamebreaking issues wasn’t really possible (besides the tutorial, but that was already redone). I’m hoping that a lot of these issues will be fixed in Cish’s next game, operators. In the demos that have came out there wasn’t a class system and stealth was more straightforward, with one of them having you fail if you get caught or kill too many people. When that comes out in probably like 1.5 years make sure to check that out
1. Stealth is recommended, you can still do loud but it’s dull compared to Payday, not much types of guns and enemy types. 2. Drill is for people without proper breaching tools or doing challenges. For stealth, use lock picking kits or scrambler. 3. Remember, the bigger the skill dot is, the more major it is.
2-1. There IS silent drill, sacrifice speed for stealth capability. And no, big drills are only for vault doors. And it will break the door and you can’t close it unless you have precision drilling skill.
1-1. For some reason, the mission you played has the highest detection rate, and the Engineer IS more of a loud class, and bringing extra C4 is just waste of space and deployment cost, yes, your gear costs money if you play it higher than Rookie.
15:00 iirc pretty sure there's a perk where you can close the door after drilling it, and the guards only alert when they open it; i won't make fun of you though because it's difficult to miss, great video as always eclipse
Who even said loud was awful? On the surface, yeah it looks really simple and I can't blame anyone for not liking it on lower difficulties. But Elite/Legend is where all the technical stuff happens. Learning game mechanics, figuring out strategies, and managing your resources.
I like Entry Point, but there are different options like Stealth or Loud, and either of those options are fine, it is how we as players actually do the mission, but not gonna lie, you are so AMAZING at Payday 2 loud, hats off to you man.
Making a new character slot is easy, you dont need to delete your existing slot and only takes 15 minutes of failing a mission because of the drill and making a thief slot

I think why people think that the stealth is a good is because how much it plays out like a puzzle game sometimes, it's really fun that the dev intentionally redesign some of the parts in the mission to be harder/different on higher difficulties so you have to work around them too. so I guess there is a lot of satisfaction when you finally figure out and execute your strategy well

Don't forget to add that even though with that perk door's are openable, NPC can still get alerted if they open the door or see the door opened.
@@halleyalex7544 so eclipse thought that playing one mission is enough to see how stealth is like and chose the worst map to do it on.....
Loud is an intended mechanic, yes, and the problems you mention get fixed by:
1. Higher difficulty modes

The problem he addressed was that if you aren't a thief class or sub-class you couldn't do that.
Stealth missions are easy on Legend difficulty, but require you to memorize unintuitive strategies/mechanics that the game never teaches you. Some of these include:
- Partially filling the detection bar of cameras/NPCs to force certain actions
- Shooting silenced pistols near NPCs to force them to stop moving and/or look toward a certain direction
- Taking out NPCs who are standing still so that no other NPC will ever walk to that position again (only exception is Blacksite)
- Leaning through certain walls to see what's on the other side
- In Blacksite specifically, the most reliable strategy involves climbing over a shipping container by _jumping against it while shaking the mouse_
- In Lakehouse specifically, _shooting through bulletproof glass_ with a silenced shotgun to immediately open a door and save 30 seconds
- Cameras can see the player while they are inside a bush, which can get you a disguise in certain situations
It's a story about betrayal, loss, and above all, revenge. the closing line of the game is
"In the end, we got what we wanted. Was it worth it? Did we make a difference?"
We don't play Entry Point *just* for the gameplay. We also play it for it's story. And that is something that you missed
Ironman mode is simple;
You and up to four players play each free to play mission in timeline order.
Hope I told you something useful ( if you even read this, that is)
It's made by one developer, not multiple, don't add an s to the end of "creator" as it'a just false information

16:10
I would like to point out that yes, as a base character, doors will ALWAYS be broken by either drill, HOWEVER, there is a perk called "Precision Drilling" that makes it so you can open and close doors you drill, and guards will only detect it if you leave the door open or if they interact with the door, which incentivizes you to be strategic about which door you drill (if any)
Stealth is entirely possible on any class, you just have to play your cards right

I feel like entry point should have a tutorial and then a separate tutorial for like level 20 to teach luring and getting out of sticky situations and all that

glad that you admitted to the fact you were wrong about a few things. also in the skill tree, you can get an upgrade that allows you to close drilled doors though I'd throw that in
So uh, there is a perk who allows you to dripp open dors, without "fully breaking" them. The can be still closed/opened but the npcs will find it as "broken" if the door is found in a opened state. Also because would you look at that, a community that prefers stealth (precise, skill-requiring, chad) would be more mature than the rest of the first person shooter (unga bunga, press a button to kill, beta) Roblox games.
And this mainly counts only towards roblox because EP pushes away the majority of the children over there, but other shooters like TF2 have a higher age range
Stopped reading at "ep community is a bit more mature than other ones"

I'll never please you, and I'm not going to play this game again

Hey eclipse, you should play ultrakill
There is a skill called "Precision Drilling" which allows you to close drilled doors.
The silent drill also has a few uses, e.g. drilling safes and shutting down sensors.
my question is
what kind of games does eclipse play in order to think shooting a doorhandle in a tutorial only thing
Buddy loud is there so people wont leave after they mess up i mean the deposit is hard to stealth already and people are gonna quit after 10000 fails so loud is there to give people a chance to win
Exactly!
tbh entry point doesn't have a good tutorial so being confused on certain things is understandable
doing loud with friends is a pretty fun experience
First ever footage of eclipses comment section making sense
I've been following you for over a year now and have been present at like 30% of your streams, only now I realize how good of a jawline you possess.
Finally someone who I can get behind
for the people who say "bro missed the silent drill for stealth lol he's so dumb" tell me you've never brought a loud drill in stealth, i swear every noob lobby i join theres always that one guy with the loud drill because he doesn't know how drills work.
The reason the drill can't be placed down, it's because it's a hand drill. But placing down the drill to a door would be great in a few cases.
Eclipse, you should try out Arcane Odyssey! It is a "new" game (still in early access) about magic and stuff. It's really good and honestly the best thing I've seen in roblox in a long time. I won't spoil you anything, so try it out yourself if you want!
don't forget about the soundtrack, black dusk loud is just a guitar solo for half of it.
17:00 there are daily challenge where you cant bring lockpick and you have to do it in stealth, there is an perk for the drill that helps with that.
Loud is meant for if you fail stealth, just to make the game feel more complete.
15:36 fun, fact, you need the precise drilling perk
where’s daily dose of slightly irrational people?
I don't understand why people get so passionate and upset when someone doesn't like something that they like, it's not like he's objectively wrong for not finding the game fun (personally I find loud and stealth fun)
This was a good response video, admitting your mistakes while also not totally giving in just to appease the crowd, I have to respect that
I think the main problem had was that the first review didnt seem to be very balanced, as it only touched a part of the game (mainly being loud)
i found it funny how eclipse used the entrypoint hastag probably expecting results but i guess it helps a bit. Entry point itself is pretty skill based on both loud and stealth and for your first time you did the same as all of us that being not knowing everything trying to figure it out and then decided to shoot up the area in a last ditch effort but eventually go down by the onslaught of cops or whatever your fighting.
Eclipse: "I tried the mission on stealth"
The 3 C4s in his bag:
The reason loud is still in the game is the same reason loud is still in aragami because it’s not intended to be played like that but some people may enjoy it more
He already have a guess similar to this and aragami is not supposed to be played loud like they can one shot you and pretty sure they have aimbot they also doc points it you get caught.
A guess here, but it's also because of Ironman. This allows for more strategic planning instead of just all stealth.
I also think EP would be kinda boring if the game is just all stealth.
In operators demo (made by Cish) you actually have an animation for the drill but in my opinion, having drills being placed makes no sense to me.
This has shown how much your community has grown Eclipse! Keep up the good work!
15:10 u can use the precision drilling perk but u can't open the door when someone is near or they wil see the broken door when opened but when closed they will see that it isn't broken
welp kinda weird of a mechanic but i just get used to that when i use different hybrid characters
They tried to gain the respect of a god, instead they incurred his wrath more.
as someone who used to play EP like 3-4 years ago, i'd say the game itself a mixed bag
the stealth mechanics itself are pretty well done, but the main flaw of stealth is the poor mission design, some mission objectives require you to do incredibly risky stuff that would've fitted payday 2 a lot more instead (the blacksite stealth is the worst offender, where you are forced to sneak through an area filled with guards who can almost instantly spot you no matter if you're wearing a disguise or not)
the loud part of the game is unsurprisingly downright atrocious, so that you feel like it's more of a bonus rather than an intended game feature. the guns feel incredibly laggy to shoot and the AI enemies feel more like a health tax (as someone said on the PD2 discord server once)
not to mention, the weapon selection is very small and the game relies on having a meta build rather than your own playstyle (there's a reason why most longtime EP players including myself use F57 and CH-A on loud)
You could argue however that payday 2 relies mostly on meta builds, but it atleast has some variety to them and lets you pick them accordingly to your playstyle, meanwhile EP with its loud gameplay design forces you to use that one meta build that lets you finish ironman on legend difficulty
You do take a ton more damage in legend compared to rookie, 50 times more in fact. Also in the mission briefing screen you can see the pay you get from completing a mission, which scales with difficulty.
Love how on release the title was feeback instead of feedback
this is why you never offend the entry point community
the best way to actually find this game fun is to not go for hacker or engineer as your first class
11:20 so Incase you screw up stealth you still have a chance
Fun fact: When i started playing entry point at 8 yo i chossed mercenary and then decided to go stealth
I agree for the most part with the whole character thing, but if you were starting the game you would read what every class is about and then pick which you want for either loud or stealth. You said you liked loud, and so you picked the guy with the bombs.
I still feel like theres a lot wrong with the review so;
First of all, the games stealth is good once you get into it.

Ha, playing stealth using an obviously loud character....
....reminds me when I first played this game, fair point and extra credit for the random comedy (mother of God 4 C4s)
You can use precision drilling to close drilled doors, but if an NPC interacts woth it they will notice
And once again eclipse did not see that
Who even said loud was awful? On the surface, yeah it looks really simple and I can't blame anyone for not liking it on lower difficulties. But Elite/Legend is where all the technical stuff happens. Learning game mechanics, figuring out strategies, and managing your resources.
I actually believed that was his house until his arm clipped out lmao
BUT THEN THERES #4, NOTORIETY, WHICH, BECAUSE OF COPYRIGHT, GOT KILLED AND NEVER SAW THE LIGHT OF DAY EVER AGAIN.
15:19 there is a perk to make drilled doors unseen with some exceptions.
I like Entry Point, but there are different options like Stealth or Loud, and either of those options are fine, it is how we as players actually do the mission, but not gonna lie, you are so AMAZING at Payday 2 loud, hats off to you man.
I heard "people not being fucking idiots" type thing, that's impossible on the eclipse channel.
Let’s go entry point community truly a rare entry point w
Respectful people, in eclipses comment section?
Impossible!
I love the kids who just get angry over the smallest thing
Loud exists so you don't get stuck on missions, and can actually complete the game if you suck.
Making a new character slot is easy, you dont need to delete your existing slot and only takes 15 minutes of failing a mission because of the drill and making a thief slot
Theres one more thing you missed: you missed the silent drill
12:30 there's one dev btw.
Also, you prob didn't enjoy stealth because you played on the easiest difficulty and didn't experience the full stealth part of the game.
Additionally, you can not have the drill bust the door open forever by using the precision drilling perk.
The highlight of this video was the kitties return
