Glad the 4.7 is getting some love
love those 4.7 so raspy an rev pretty high. somebody has to teach these true dual guys they need a x-pipe or h-pipe. the last clip shows why you need them his passenger side exhaust had less flow. you can tell the driver side has smoke consistently coming out while the passenger only does it under throttle. gotta get themselves a xpipe or hpipe to even that flow.
I true-dualed my 09’ 1500 4.7, I added an x-pipe in and it made it sound better, run better (back pressure), etc.
Or at least run the drivers side to the passenger side and the passenger side to the drivers side to even it out. Just did true dual straights on my buddies 06 with the 4.7 and crossed the sides over and it’s pretty even
Best thing I bought for my O3 Ram was the Gibson short tube headers. Truck sounds so good now I love it
The deep mellow sound of the Jones JFP is just what I was looking for - definitely going on my Durango. Thanks a lot for the great video!!!
2002 4.7L HO Jeep Grand Cherokee
Ported Heads, longtube headers, custom sct tune, CAI. Not dyno tuned as of yet, I barely finished the head gasket rebuild. Going w a Borla touring muffler instead for a sleeper sound, gnarly at WOT
That super 10 sounds awsome
In 2016 I was given First Dibbs on a "Near New Condition" 2004 Dodge Dakota Crew cab 4 X 4 stocked w/a 4.7 , 80k miles by an old acquaintance and within a week I was a very happy first time owner of a PU Truck ($8,000). As of today I still have it and drive it daily,{133k mi.] Thank You for this video. I am looking for the right shop here in Jacksonville, Fl. to have the FLOWMASTER SUPER 10 installed.
Finally some love for the 2008+ Dakotas. My personal favorite as I own one they looks so aggressive
They look good but I’m a fan of the 2005, I own a 2005.
2nd Gen looks better and I don’t own one
Dakotas are worse than 90s ranger
@@jeffreyhughis8637
Rangers are the biggest pieces of garbage. Have a 2010 Ranger at my house and it drives 10x worse than my girlfriend's 03 4.7 5 speed Dakota.
I had a 05. Just had the 3.7 in it though. And 2wd. But it was a quad cab and I loved that damn thing. Just about to hit 200k miles when I sold it. Ram great though. Was so sad to see it go. But now I replaced it with an 02 Durango with the 4.7 and 4x4. Only has 129k miles.
Best 1 was the Dakota with Super 10
My 03 Ram 1500 4.7 is true dualed with a flow master 40 and headers, its at 126 decibels.
I definitely have the loudest 4.7 out there on my 2006 Dodge Durango
Post a video, let's hear it
Yeah post it
One month and we're still waiting.....
@@TheGoopGod then we wait harder
2023 and still waiting 😅
Nice sounds!! Love your enthusiasm in the videos you make. Keep up the great content. Gotta love #1 Texas boy in Tennessee!!!
That last one was badass
#3 was my favorite 👍👍👍
Super 10 sounds the best
I've got a 2010 qx56 with a Gibson performance exhaust which is 3in pipe with 3.5 in tip and sounds amazing.... I don't understand the 2.5 in pipe with 6in tip... personally I'd run 3.5 in straight to the 6in tip
I just did a turn down pipe sounds good cut out muffler anded small pipe and a turn down tip. Fast and easy on 2002 slt 4.7
Love this channel, keep it up
The third one was the best in my opinion
Good to know it wasnt some other guy's opinion
Saw you were local so I subbed to show support
Thanks for the support
Okay I wanna upgrade from a 2.5 inch exhaust tubes to 3 inch tubes with flowmaster 40 1 in 2 out duals with 5 inch tips. Going on a 2007 Dodge Durango
i have a 2008 ram 1500 with the 4.7 and the sound decibels are 121 on it
I’ve been so on the fence about my 2004 4.7 Durango about doing a total exhaust/header job on it. I want good sound but not loud… ANYTHING has to be louder than the stock muffler and resonator.
How’s Hedmann shorty headers/new cats/2.5 to 3in/Flowmaster Super 50 and resonator sound? I can’t handle drone. 🤷♂️
Just do any setup you want. Just remember aftermarket “muffler” and any resonator is what you want for no drone and nice sounding but not too loud system.
I just cut my mufflers out and went with one single one. It’s a daily so it’s nice sounding when I get up and go
I got true dual straight pipes all the way on mine
What JP muffler was used? Muffler number? I liked the tone. Thanks.
It's a shame the 4.7's are kinda junk they sound so good
Unfortunately. Go figure it's one of the only ohc v8s dodge has ever made.
I have one and it’s been hella reliable. 2007 ram at 247k and doesn’t make any bad noises from the motor and it shifts smooth. It’s got a flowmaster 40 series on it and it sounds so great. Only complaint with it is it is not the fastest thing ever but I enjoy it thoroughly.
@@jerodwolford2743 what is ohc?
I've owned my 08 ram since 35k miles now I'm at 225k lol as long as you maintain it, it will drive and preform as it should.
@@redfox-zj5mn overhead camshaft. The dodge 4.7 is a single overhead camshaft engine (SOHC). This means it has one camshaft on top of each head.
Have you guys done a 1999- 2000 dakota?
I want to change my trucks exhaust but its a single out and I don't want dual out back. Not sure if I want to turn down after muffler or leave it out the back
#2 paid for an exhaust while he has a lamp out and check engine light on lmao good choice
I like The last Truck with The True Duals Straight Pipe The sound was very scary I like it 🙂
I need one full kit for 99 dakota club cab 3.9 v6
How much would you estimate that you could do a 2002 Dodge Ram cat back true dual?
i called them, it was like 670$
Itz guud
I have a 2008 dakoda sound so good but too loud
Where are yall located and how much for straights cat back y'd 45 out the back?
3560 Dickerson Rd Nashville TN 37207. Call us at 615-612-6244
That 08 is like the clone to mine in color but mine sounds smoother than his
I have a 2011 Dakota I just love the last body style they did
@@redfox-zj5mn ive got a love hate relationship with mine right now its front end is messed up
@@rseriestuners7851 I feel there is something wrong with my steering is makes weird winding sound
@@redfox-zj5mn mine does that when the power steering is low so you could check that. However when you turn all the way it will always whine especially with oversized tires
I own a 2002 4.7 and that check engine light STAYS on
I feel that, I have an 03 and no matter what i do that light refuses to go away
Dakota were??
#2, #3 #1 just sound terrible i had my truck sounding like that at one time and i chopped it straight off and just went to the edge of where truck bed and cab meet and just left it straight pipe with 2 inch piping later i added a super 10 on it an the sound is just so much cleaner i hated the popping noise and i didnt like the sound of a harley and it being a truck
do your neighbors like it?
why would you get anything other than a hemi with a Chrysler product
Because Chrysler makes other good engines too...
@@natewj1077 the magnums? nah
@@xarch7208 aight dude you keep up with that mentality. Cheers
Maybe because Hemi is known for the Tick? But I mean they’re both good engines
I thought straight piping a vehicle was illegal
Mines straight piped cats back single pipe lol
#1 - Jones Flowpack Mufflers
Best combination of volume and tone. Two of my past projects had these mufflers. They sound good on V6 and V8 drivetrains.
#2 - Flowmaster Super 10
Decent volume and tone. Not as good as the Flowpacks
#3 Flowmaster FlowFX
Would be number 2 on my list if it has an x or h pipe. Without them they sound horrible. Especially when you rev it.
.
#4 - "Straight Pipe"
Not real straight pipe exhaust. All volume and lousy tone.
#5 - True Dual "Straight Pipe"
Same as number 4 but in a true dual setup. No x or h pipe makes it sounds worse. Sounds like a car with a hole in the muffler with a cracked manifold.
Red ram tints his taillights so they work less
Those straight pipe setups sound like a$$. Not a reflection on you guys, it’s the customers decision.
Why would somebody have the exhaust system done and not replace the whole exhaust and use that old rusty nasty pipe with a new muffler I just don't get it.🤔
Y'all should hire me as your welder.. those booger welds are pathetic 👎🏻
Dude!!!That’s just bad to the bone !!
It’s usually people with ugly trucks that have obnoxious sounding straight pipes.
The last one sounds like shit 😂
ong these americans think its good
@@mxgeru343 I am American
The last three sound horrible

Nah
@@ReaISouI Nice try "Textin' Taurus & Fart Mercury" go back to your basemrnt now
Please make lifting a single cab illegal 🤢🤮🤮🤮
What a very strange thing to say.
It’s better for off-road wym short wheelbase means less chances of getting hi centered
@@redfox-zj5mn Oky that still doesn’t mean it looks right
@@demarcusbody9437 regular cabs are the toughest-looking trucks on the road.
