I beat my buddy's 95 5spd 5.0 mustang with 4.10s easily, and my other buddy's 95 auto trans am with 3.73s, shift kit, headers, intake, and tune. The mustang race was from a stop. He got ahead at first because of my launch and I just went by him easily. By about 110 I was probably 12 cars ahead. The trans am was a 5mph roll race. His bumper was at about my back tire. The highest tune that little tuner had. And I increased the top speed to 120 and ran 93 through it.
It so similar to the 5.4 2v triton not gonna lie
I ran a 5.4 and out ran it with ease. Have a very short video of it on it
My Ram is turbocharged it says 120 on the dash but goes 160 I haven’t attempted any faster
And mines a 5.7 hemi
Whats the tune?? I am wanting to get one
I have the 2012
It was on premium tune, running premium gas through it. From what I heard if you're running regular through with premium tune on you can screw up the engine.
low tire pressure/ top speed test.
Aftermarket wheel no tps 🤷🤷
Awesome I love ram
Badass ram
Thank you
good video do you have any mods
Just the cold air intake which really does nothing, muffler and the tuner
What CAI do you have?
I believe 64 series k&n
64 or 66
How many gears?
Check yer tires!
it's funny to see that your half ton struggles after it hits 3rd gear but my Dakota keeps pulls even into 4th is still pulls slightly enough to not tap the peg but bury it weight makes a hell of a difference
5spd auto and 3.55 gears thats the only way you do a 2-3 shift at 70+ lol
AWD?
4x4. But this was just 2wd
@@codyfisher2878 what performance mods?
Was just a K&N cold air intake 64 series I believe, a aftermarket muffler, don't remember the brand, and the bullydog gt tuner on the highest tune. Ran 93 through the truck
@@codyfisher2878 that’s awesome! i’m about to have a 4.7 magnum 2wd passed down to me in a few months as my first truck so i am looking for inspiration. thank you!
Not a problem, enjoy it and be safe
You should put a turbo rocket on your truck and then you'll get to 120 miles an hour in 1 to 2 seconds
Your tire light is on
Aftermarket rims, I didn't use the tpms in them
My 03 5 speed will do 100 in 3rd lol
@Shaun Howard yeah we went a little tall on the gears when we rebuilt the trans lol
mine does 90 in 3rd with stock gearing 🤣 first gear is for smokin tires
@@coltm4a1ops hell yeah the nv3500 is wild😂
Shifting too early I think she would pull nice up to 6k. You can’t leave it in D.
Nah....older tech engine...5500 is probably pushing it honestly. Even the tuner for my 14 hemi ram I had only let you raise the shift points up to 6200. I raised mine to 6000 snd it was perfect. But these 4.7s are low end torque like the older V8s were. Comparable to the chevy 350, ford 351 snd 302 and dodge 318 and 360.
timmypstyle no no most people who run 4.7 say 6 k is the best power shift. Being a 4.7 they are able to rev to a higher limit. It’s makes a world of difference in my truck
timmypstyle also the runner allows for the tune up to 6700 at least for mine
Jayden Randall
I agree! My 08’ 4.7 Ram has a ton of power clear up until 6,000 rpm, it definitely could’ve gone faster. Mine has 167,000 miles and doesn’t seem to hurt it to rev that high.
what tune
Gabriel Diazz its just set on premium tune, highest tune i can have it set on
Cody Fisher was that stock and the ,91 octane can tune,
Randy Truthful yes
Man that thing flat shits and gets
My Stock Accord 2.0t faster than this
You wild’n
Bro, I just got back into the military. Waiting for my bonus. Debating if I want another bike or procharge the truck
A I have 16 ram rebel with a hemi now. I'm sure a procharher would be fun as hell
@@codyfisher2878 get a whipple. A pro charger is not that good in my opinion and they cost around the samw
@@lancho5784 a complete procharger kit is 6900 and whipple is 6900
Sorry a stock 5.7 would put that to shame, tires would be chirping at 45 mph
You act like this is unknown, i sure hope a bigger engine would have more power behind it although in 08 there wasn’t much of a power difference between the 4.7 and 5.7.
I have same set up minus the programmer I ain't hating but to me it seems like a hell of a lot of load on the motor as in if it's holding itself back if you catch my drift I have a OBD2 Bluetooth module that I use in mine for simple things and a cold air intake and I would have went through two of your Transmissions but yet again not hating just saying it seems like it's restricted seeing how it has a programmer that and you pussy footin the hell out of it lol
8 seconds for 0 to 60? Not good but no bad
Yea, it's alright.
Tuned my huevos
?
Not sure what that means but ok lol
@@codyfisher2878 tuned my balls is the literal translation, looks like he doesn't believe your ram is tuned
I waited for ur moms car
Thats why my 3rd gen Toyota 4runner beat you at 80 mph and pulled on you like i was giving you a wedgie! Not you per say but the ass hole that rode me until we both had a clear and straight shot! His was diesel, not sure if that played a role in his top end performance but i walked all over his cole rolling ass as i was infront and saw nothing but black smoke!
Pretty fast
5.7 will eat that thing
Ya don't say
Your driveshaft hates you lol
That truck hated me. I beat the hell out of it. Pulled my camaro from Illinois to North Carolina doing 70-75 the whole way. It was a damn good truck
@@codyfisher2878 mines been good to me so far. It’s at 232k but I had to replace all the coils and spark plugs because it was missing in every cylinder at different times. That’s the only issue it’s had tho
I unfortunately traded mine in at 155k. Probably one of the worst mistakes I could've made in a very long time. I miss thag truck, it was too god to me
@@codyfisher2878 mines got a flow master on it and I’m looking at putting new cams in it
I'm not sure what muffler I had on it. Just cold air intake and muffler with the tuner. I was looking for long tubes and other things for it but all I could find were 5.7 parts.
I'm sure the Dakota's are much faster.
mad jeeper I kept up with a Dakota. He only had me on launch
My quad qab short bed 02 4.7 is cammed geard and is a 5 spd flowmasters from the headers back to the super 40s it beat a camaro ss a 5.0 stang and a 5.7 charger
@@billmann2114 I'm guessing this was just a 6yr olds dream Orr you just can't speak English??
My 1990 Toyota Celica can go faster than that piece of shit.
Good I'm glad
Slow
Well yea I'm aware. Thank you.
