I find doing the shrugs with the 13” mini bands works much better because you don’t need the foot plate. I stand on the bands with a handle in each hand using the purple bands and I have constant tension throughout the range of motion.
Have you thought of making a resistance band bar that replicates the feel of a barbell? I have the bands, band handles and anchor straps and I pre-oredered the foot plate. I really feel like a straight bar would complete the home gym set up.
