It is for these men that long hair would be unsuitable as they lack the masculine base in the form of defined leanness. I wonder if he's heard of the kibbe body typing system? Interestingly enough people with gamine body types are recommended to wear shorter skirts despite being the shortest body type, while QOVES recommended a longer skirt for the short girl
@@woodlandelf8109 I believe that he has, I think he mentioned it once in another video. Also ftr, the gamine family in the kibbe body typing system is not necessarily the shortest. They have the same height limits as the Romantic family (and the short girl does look more like a romantic to me). Gamines also typically have a rather "coltish" appearance which often involves long limbs proportionally, hence why the short skirts tend to suit them! There are exceptions to this, however, and some gamines (usually soft gamines) will have short legs paired with a longer torso, although short limbs are still typically more of a characteristic of the romantic family
I did it too, your over-correcting. All you have to do is stop correcting and it will be "perfect". Akso really important that good posture isn't really a thing if you stay in one posture for too long, so move around even if you're still sitting.
I'm not sure why you think the changeable aspects aren't a part of attractiveness? People treat others SO differently based on things like hair, clothes, makeup etc. And that's largely because of how those impact attractiveness.
He said it himself with the clients requesting for a model to change their appearance to fit their expectations/needs. If it didn't have an impact, why would they request such a thing?

I will say I strongly disagree with your assessment that your personality does not have an affect on how people view you physically. I think both you, the channel operator, and replier all have a good point. If you're just glancing at someone and not getting to know them, personality doesn't matter. if you're short, people will say you're short, but if people get to know you and you have an attractive personality, they won't pay attention to your flaws nearly as much. Or at least that's what I believe When you have a crush on someone, even them just walking impresses you. When you despise someone, even them just walking disgusts you, but someone you don't know is only their physical appearance
I used to have a classmate who imo was not attractive at all but still manage to capture the hearts of everyone with her kindness and outgoing personality. People, especially men, would gravitate towards her and most of the guys talk about having a crush on her when they met her. Her character was that strong.
For the short girl, I actually have experienced the change in perception of my height. I've had people be surprised at how short I am after not seeing me for a while since I have such a loud/outgoing personality. So I wouldn't completely throw out the effect of personality tbh, it can influence perception/memory.
I completely agree. And in both directions - having more personality can make someone _feel_ larger. And having less can do the same for taller people. I've personally experienced and seen both effects in action, especially during the pandemic with people I hadn't met in person.

This video was really fun to watch! It was like an application of a lot of concepts from previous videos. It was also nice to see normal people's facial aesthetics being analyzed.
I don't like that she keeps telling people to take their glasses off. Some people can't wear contacts due to eye dryness etc, or can't afford laser surgery. If you choose a glasses shape, style & colour that complements your facial features, shape & proportions, glasses can add interest to your face. Glasses don't automatically make you unconfident, if you have glasses that suit you & that you like, they can give you even more confidence.
definitely agree, after 7 years of wearing glasses, I finally found a pair of frames that actually elevates my facial aesthetic and corrects some of my disproportionate features. It brings balance to my face and I feel more confident and beautiful with than without them.
I agree but I think she has sort of a point. As in her glasses don’t suit her face. Which obviously can be solved with getting rid of them but also looking for glasses that suit the face better. Most people pick any glasses and not ones that suit their face.
Some times glasses changes the look of the face (make the eyes look bigger, makes de nose look smaller change the form of the face) so I think she want to watch they "true face" without glasses for make a better opinion about them.
It's funny how you complimented the funky pants dude for how well proportioned his clothes were like I'd hope since he runs a fashion meme page that has a cult following for his takes
Actually, I agreed with most of her ratings, except for the 'funky pants' guy; I would rate him higher. I actually liked that she gave advice on how to improve it. I do love this channel, and love to understand about the physical features. But though that is clearly the 'strongest' factor of attractiveness, it is not everything. :) Where this channel talk mostly about physical features, and what is scientifically most attractive, she was talking about how to improve your general impression/make the most of what you do have. Obviously, time did not allow to go into crazy detail, but she said what would make the biggest impact in improving. You both had great observations, and useful advice, you just came from different perspectives.
I really appreciate the advice you gave when talking about Joanna. Your advice is much more realistic and helpful, something you can acrually do something with.
My dog has same illness as me. I didn't know about it when I was adopting him. Also, we have many behaviours in common, such as eating once per day at night usually.
Attractiveness includes clothes. As you mentioned for some of the people how it would improve their look. But flip again and say clothes should be off limits. This video wasn't about just facial aesthetics, its about attractiveness. Which include how one carries/ styles oneself, and physical features. I think you also miss cultural differences and generational gaps.
Yeah that was definitely hypocritical of him to say clothes shouldn't be counted in the case of that pretty boy while he himself couldn't look past the shorter people's ill proportioned jeans...smh
I think there is a difference between recommending what types of pants to accentuate the features and judging your rating based off the choice of clothing. It's a difference of saying some shoes make you look small and hating them because they have a specific colour or pattern that you don't like
26:45 exactly what I commented last video. If it was revealed that you were, hypothetically, very unattractive people would brush of most of everything you say even though you're being objective and scientific. Sad
I agree 100%. You don't have to be attractive to recognize if another person is attractive. By the way just for the record he actually does show is face on the 1st video, and you know why he stopped doing it? Because of the people in the comments they were saying that he was conceited and arrogant. Yet sadly he explained why he used his own photos and that was because he said it would not be right for him to judge other people's looks, and not be judged himself. But you know people, they ignored him saying that and just focused on calling him arrogant.
They should have just picked regular people. All of these people revolve around the fashion industry 3 of them have notably popular YT channels or Instagrams. The channel you get these videos from always picks a lazy group of people to use instead of using real people they always use some wannabe influencer type of people.
By saying 'natural beauty' to that girl, she meant that she has naturally pretty features. However, she shouldn't cover up these features without makeup, but instead use makeup to enhance her natural beauty.

I am really interested in the points you are making about posture, and wanted to ask something about that. In men, straight posture exudes confidence, couple that with eye contact you have a ‘typically’ attractive male. On the other hand, with women it seems to have an alternate effect? I am 5’7”, so above average for a woman’s height. Stand straight, am athletic and make eye contact….this though I’ve been told comes off as aggressive to some people, especially men. So is this a reflection on a male society that lacks confidence? Or an overly aggressive female(that being me😂)?
Generally society sees taller people as “stronger” and more “powerful” while shorter people are seen as “cute” and “weaker”. I think there were a study or an article, im not sure so dont quote me on it, about taller people getting more jobs than shorter people. I think it mightve been the amount of jobs and it’s found that taller people get more accepted jobs than shorter people or something along the lines
5'7" is not that tall, and IMO, standind straight is not a problem. You might be muscular, which makes you look more aggressive, but if you're lean fit, you should be looking okay. It might've something to do with other features than with your height and figure.

I don't mean to offend anyone. As this video says, modeling needs certain type of body to showcase many different clothes. I'm short my self (with longer legs than my torso with very small bones) and yes, representation matters, but when it comes to modeling, it's easier for designers to hire one certain body type, tall and slender.
If the shorter Asian woman wore a straight or wide legged jean it would be proportionate with her jacket and make her look older and lengthen her leg. So you don’t always have to wear longer, A-lined skirts as a shorter woman. My niece is 5’2 and 110lbs. Skinny clothes look amazing on her but her mom who is 5’4 and 180lbs doesn’t look good in tight fitting clothes. She looks better in longer, skimming clothes.
I'm 1,65 and assigned male at birth, no one ever talked about my height. Yes I do dress for my body (oversized clothes always) but the confidence is part of your image. The physical appearance are the words in the book, your personality is the mentality that people will read the book with.

About the posture, most of the people were scared of being judged. That probably would make anyone hunch up. It’s the psychological equivalent of bracing for a blow. Also the guy at 20:25 is beautiful, she was wild giving him a 5.
I'd like to give some words of advice on the former model (4/10): 1) don't wear horizontal stripes in your heaviest areas. 2) if you insist on wearing horizontal stripes, make sure the black is where the body needs to be cinched in and the brightly colored areas are where the bust and hips are 3) do not wear dresses that cut off mid-thigh if your legs are short and stubby 4) purple pants are awesome and that guy looks like he could be on a gucci runway show
When she said ‘natural beauty’ I think she means her makeup type, for some people and features a more gorgeous and dramatic makeup type is more complementing than a cute type, so by natural makeup she means a more neutral, ‘enhancing’ type of makeup
'Clothes should be off limits' Sorry but I have seen some pretty people who have terrible fashion sense and they wonder why they don't get the jobs they want or struggle in the dating scene, especially for men.

I don't think being short is necessarily unattractive. I think he was just giving advice about how to be perceived as less childlike. That doesn't change her face.
For the benefit of doubt, I feel like what he’s saying is that high waisted pants affect how one’s legs are perceived (longer, less stocky), whereas the criticism of the funky pants is essentially the colour and pattern of said pants.
The 1-10 scale isnt' flawed, it's misunderstood. The average isn't 5. It's 7 (not a mathematical average). Most people aren't particularly bad looking. 7 is fine - normally okay looking. 6 and 5 are features that throw off the balance of things, being overweight, etc. 8-10 are being above average. 1-4 is like drawing a really bad hand in the looks department - short, bad features, bad hair, overweight, deformation, etc all in one package. Most people can get themselves up at least 1 point by working out, eating right, dressing right and taking care of themselves as much as possible. AFTER this there is a subjective lens. Maybe your partner really likes big noses, so maybe to them you're an 8, or something like that.
Dude. Please study basic statistics. Under a normal distribution 66% of people should fall within 1 SD of the population mean which should be the scale midpoint. That’s the point of this scale to rank you in relation to over humans. Human attractiveness perceptions follow a normal distribution.
@@done1961 I studies stats. I was an econ major. My point is that the first few numbers aren't really part of the scale. Most people that are considered as potential partners at all will average out to a 7.

Yeah but If you don’t know someone well It doesn’t matter
I think both you, the channel operator, and replier all have a good point. The lips should be sealed
The tongue should rest against the entire hard palate of the mouth
(the maxilla) - a suction force should hold the tongue there effortlessly (might feel weird at first - that's ok). Some suction holds are stronger than others, swallowing is a good way to create this hold since the tongue naturally presses against the roof of the mouth anyway when swallowing (don't push on the teeth though - if you're unsure what that feels like, push on them for a few seconds just to learn the feeling, then make sure you don't do it). Breathing through the mouth is impossible when you have a proper suction hold
The head should be upright (not tilted back or anything like that - if you're used to tilting it back, your neck muscles might feel some strain when switching to upright posture, but that'll go away pretty fast).

So is this a reflection on a male society that lacks confidence? Or an overly aggressive female(that being me😂)?
Generally society sees taller people as “stronger” and more “powerful” while shorter people are seen as “cute” and “weaker”.
The 1 - 10 scale assumes that attractiveness follows a normal distribution.
When choosing a partner (based on looks) we don't consider people who hardly even look like normal humans. They're not included in the pool at all. Most people that are considered as potential partners at all will average out to a 7.
@@WooliteMammoth we aren’t talking about “potential partner” we are taking human.
If you take all humans and get them to rate all other humans from 1-10 you will end up with a normal distribution with a mean of around 5. Whilst most people will be near the centre, there will certainly be some 9/10’s and some 1/2’s.
why would the average not be 5? how does that make sense? we perceive attractiveness by standard deviation (ie average, above average, below average) not by like... a score, like a 70% on a test?
The 5 ranked Dute is super attractive to me and the pants making his legs even longer
Can you make a video about posture and tilting the head forward to compensate and thus creating CFD? Thanks !! xoxo
I’ve been watching some of ur videos since like,,, yesterday 😂 and u know what, I just noticed u have a nice soothing voice 🤔🤔 not only that but your videos are really entertaining and insightful, good job!!
Hey, idk if this is only for me but your videos always sound super low even when I turn up the volume to max. I have to be in a quiet place in order to understand what is being said. This only happens to me with your videos and I hve to wait to get home to be able to watch
For me the ex model is too low volume and the narrator much louder. It's super annoying.
Hi Qoves I know you said that you all are already overwhelmed with all the facial reports you receive, nevertheless, maybe in the future you all could consider add a styling report for how people dress.
Oh and also you mentioned your dislike of the 1-10 Sexual Market Value (SMV) rating scale, so what would you suggest using? I always assumed people used the 1-10 SMV rating scale because it is simple, not because it is accurate.
I don't like how you commented on that one woman's legs and said that they "stick out too much." You said that women tend to store more fat in their legs compared to men... yet expect them to have 2 straight sticks for legs? That's not how it works. I think her legs look amazing.
Can you make a video to look better for short people?
The way this guy talks is great for insomnia stg
I love your analysis! Very informative!
Excuse me why is someone not addressing the elephant in the room no pun intended but the person giving advice needs some clothing advice herself. she’s not very svelte and she’s wearing horizontal stripes and ankle boots????? come on!!!!she could do better herself. I would never take advice from her!
As the French saying goes: "The cobbler's child is always the worst shod"
That’s a grown woman, mother of 3 and a former model. She’s dressing modestly, and she matches. You have issues with horizontal stripes and boots? Why? 🤔 Bc someone told you horizontal stripes make you wide
@@Themilkmanmilkermilkingmilkmen Actually horizontal stripes make you look wide that is a known truth even in the artistic world and ankle boots cut you off right at the worst place, the second worst place being the mid calf that’s. all I’m saying I am not criticizing this beautiful woman just what she’s wearing and thus giving other women advice.
@@Themilkmanmilkermilkingmilkmen I agree. Her job is to make you look your best, doesnt mean she needs to apply it to herself! Just like if you work in a Channel shop, doesnt mean you need to dress Channel! It is for the clientele. Dont accept to be part of a show if you cant play the game!
@@MsLouisVee Ok, lets be objective here. The dress and the shoes match in color. The shoes contour to her leg shape keeping the flow from her feet to her dress. You subjectively do not like appearing wide, nor do you like the boot cut off you provided no objective reasons as to why either are bad. As the video creator says himself good clothes show positive features while hiding flaws. Its a modest outfit the dress is loose and doesn't show her figure and horizontal stripes, introduce complexity to hide her figure more. Her outfit perfectly does what its intended to do, be modest professional and stylish.
People are really pressed about those horizontal stripes but didn’t we agree these silly fashion rules like not wearing white after Labor Day or bright colors in the winter are things of the past? The lady’s outfit isn’t mind-blowing but it’s not at all bad or unflattering simply because of horizontal stripes.
The fit of the dress is very unflattering for her body type, the dress is boxy when she is curvy.
@@Daniel-boy737 that’s fair, but I was talking specifically about the composition of the outfit. A bunch of comments are like she worked as a model but doesn’t know anything, simply because she’s wearing horizontal stripes. And I was saying haven’t we done away with those silly rules by now? You can look plenty unflattering without wearing horizontal stripes
So as a guy with short legs but a long torso at 5'11 i should wear higher waisted pants?
The drawings are my favourite parts of these videos
