    Summary:
    1. Bone Structure: Achieving the holo cheek/ogee curve look requires two things: a wide gonion and prominent cheek bones. When I say prominent cheekbones, I don’t necessarily mean high cheekbones (Johnny Depp has low cheek bones but had holo cheeks when he was young). Rather, your cheek bones must be laterally outward facing (most peoples cheekbones grow forwards). In addition to this, your gonion needs to be wide. If I remember correctly, it’s ideal for your gonial width to be 95% of your bizygomatic (cheekbone) width. These two things must come together in order to achieve the holo cheek look, since the lateral growth will stretch the skin over a larger surface area. Moreover, your ogee curve will also vary depending on how high your cheek bones are and how long your ramus is. The further away your gonion and cheek bones are from each high other, the longer your ogee curve will be (“long” ogee curves give top models that gaunt look that’s so desired in the industry). One last thing to note: the ogee curve look is NOT the same as holo cheeks. The prerequisites for holo cheeks are the same for the ogee curve, plus severe starvation so the cheek contour is exaggerated.
    2. Leanness: The more defined your bone structure, the more visible it will be at higher body fat percentages. However, leanness is still a priority for the model look and is where you should start first (lose weight to see what your baseline is). It’s important to note that your weight loss should be gradual. If you severely cut your calories to the point of borderline starvation, not only will you plateau but you will more sickly than attractive. Be controlled with your weight loss. Also, spot reduction is not possible; in order to lose weight in your face, you have to lose weight overall (the face is one of the last places where fat is lost, so you must stay consistent). As Qoves said, while you mean be lean, you still may not look gaunt because of youthful buccal fat. Most people tend to lose that fat as they grow older (see young Zoe Kravitz compared to now), so if you’re young and lean, it’s best to just wait it out and ensure you aren’t messing up your trajectory. To go above and beyond, buy a silk pillow case and develop the habit of sleeping on your back and not your side, mew, eat a hard diet (organic foods not processed), take collagen supplements over a lifetime (look for for supplants that Qoves studio plans on releasing in the future), and consider buying an ice pack for your eyes and using it every morning to minimize puffiness).
    Good Luck (feel free to correct me if I made any mistakes).

    • @willb295
      @willb295 2 года назад +110

      P.S. Don’t expect your ogee curve to always be visible if you have it (at least not to the extent of models). Models suck in their cheeks a little, drink plenty of water, are in a good lighting, and have their photos edited before being published.
      Also, be very realistic with your expectations. While environment is very important and there is plenty you can do, recognize that genetics also play a roll. Your peak will not look like someone else’s peak. Perhaps even after following all of these steps, you still may not have the ogee curve look, but you will certainly look much more attractive than where you started.

    Another important thing to mention is that it also has to do with fat distribution. Some people can put on weight and stay relatively lean in their face and other people can lose weight and their face is the last place where they'll lose fat.

      @AdrianW3D 2 года назад +35

      @@taamallahdhia5070 You can still have a disproportional amount of bodyfat while being underweight or normal weight. It might mean that your musculature is under developed from lack of training ( aka skinny fat). I wouldn't recommend you to loose any more weight though since 70kg at 5'11 is the lower limit for your size. If you're actually interested in shedding some fat I'd start working out and eat in a slight caloric surplus 10-15% over your caloric needs (slow and controlled growth). Within the first year, if you take it seriously, you will build muscle and lose fat at the same time (after the first year it's going to be more difficult to do both at the same time). You do have good jaw development. If you'd like to optimize the look around your face I'd suggest training your neck to bring it more in alignment with your jaw. You'll get rid of the boy-ish "lolipop on a stick"-look (but the smaller appearing neck could also be camera distortion due to your phone close to your face) . But yea man you have a good hair line, good jaw line, strong chin, strong eyebrows. Alot of things going for you.

I can't wait to get this weight off to see how much potential is underneath the fat :D. Also you can train yourself to chew using your back teeth and stop using the cheeks to chew your food, apparently stuffing your mouth with food can enlarge the buccinators muscles and ruin that angular look everyone dreams off. And I suggest eating a more low carb diet ( not too severe) and increasing protein to help with water retention... also you can buy natural diretics too to help flush water out of system.

    These are great videos. Well done. From my personal experience, I lost 15 kilos and completely transformed my appearance after finding out the results of my allergy test and also after seeking therapy for depression, which I didn't realize I had. I found out I was allergic to gluten and milk. i eliminated them from my diet, and the weight started coming off quickly. I also made sure I walked every day and did weights twice a week. I now look much better and much happier with myself. As for the depression, I found out that whenever I felt down, I would immediately open the fridge and eat something. I have learned to recognise the triggers now, and with therapy and medication I am on the right path. I have also focused on my spirituality and prayed which has given me considerable confidence. Of course, everyone's experience is different, but that is what worked for me.

    I’m 30, and I’ve lost close to 50 pounds since September of 2021. Exercise that involved a lot of cardio and total body workouts, plus just eating a bit less/healthier. I’m currently at 155 pounds (about 70 kilos), which is what I weighed in high school. Except, even though I weighed that much in high school, I still had a bit of excess fat around my body back then. I’m the most lean I’ve ever been now.
    My face is still not “sharper”. I’m half Asian-half white, and my dad is Filipino. I recently stumbled upon childhood photos of my family, and one in particular stood out during a visit to the Philippines back in the summer of 2000 when I was eight. My brother and I were sitting on my dad’s lap, all smiling, and my dad, giving a closed lip smile. I noticed my dad’s jawline was CRAZY defined. I’m talking the type of masculine jawline that is definitely coveted today by male model standards.
    Obviously I didn’t notice this as a child, because you don’t really pay attention to things like that at that age. My dad was roughly 40 in that photo. So I went back and found pictures of my dad when he was much younger (late 20’s/early 30’s)…and noticed….his jawline wasn’t nearly as pronounced.
    My dad was in the army from ages 20-44. He was never “fat” during his younger years, but wasn’t super skinny either. He was pretty “lean” in his late 20’s from the photos I’ve seen, but still had a more rounded face with buccal fat. But when I look at those family vacation photos in the summer of 2000, and the handful of ones I could find from around that year, my dad’s facial structure is POPPING way more so than his younger years. His jawline, noticeably more square and sharp.
    So, I guess I will get that defined and rugged looking jawline too…in 10 years.

When I was in middle school, I had extremely weak facial features and very, very crooked teeth with a narrow and high palate. I got an expander and then later braces in my freshman year of high school, and coming into junior year I had an almost completely different face even with high body fat - defined cheekbones, strong jaw, and obviously straight teeth.. They wreak havoc on the body in all sorts of ways but one of the side effects is fluid retention - especially in places like the face and the lower gut. This is really crucial info for anyone who ever has kids to make sure you take them to a specialist in children's ortho development to correct this at a very young age. Eventually years later my teeth shifted as the original dentist never told me i needed retainers for life and then I ended up seeing an orthodontist as an adult to get Invisalign and straighten things out. I asked him if I could do anything about my Class II deep bit and he said no outside of surgery. He just said "just keep your beard since it hides it and frames your face".

      It's even more crucial to feed your children healthy whole foods and make them chew. Actually it starts even further back than that, breastfeeding is better than bottle feeding because it's too easy for babies to get the milk out of bottles so there isn't enough force being applied for proper facial development. Yes take your kids to a dentist/orthodontist, but also recognize those problems are a symptom and not the cause.

Ever since childhood I had the habit or resting or pushing my tongue against the roof of my mouth. This is a 24/7 thing and it feels weird to just let my tongue lie flat even when I am at rest. I have very little forward projection. My mandible is quite short. I also am Asian, and I have a lot of facial and submental fat despite leaning out in other areas of my body. I will look into what an orthodontist can do, but I am not hopeful. My jawline was much stronger when I was young. I was skinnier, and I had a bit of an overbite. When I got Invisalign, my jawline softened considerably. My bite corrected, but my side profile suffered, I think.
    This softening, however, may have led to a personality change, too. I used to be quite stubborn, and I think it showed in my jaw. I still am, but now I feel much more feminine with my changed facial aesthetic. Still, I’m not happy with my side profile. I will look around for orthodontists who can help with this.

    I've always been pretty thin (BMI of ~19) but my face is incredibly chubby. Even now at 23 it still has much more fat than on any other thin person I've seen, even fat people often have thinner faces than me. I know part of it is my shitty facial structure, but it bothers me there's nothing I can do about it. I don't want to waste my young years looking like shit, I'm tired of "oh you'll be happy once you get older" but I thought people started caring less about looks at that age anyways? Plus people say it makes you look "youthful" when it doesn't. I don't know where that comes from. Like sure it can, if you have a good facial structure beneath it, otherwise it will just give you saggy jowls and pronounced nasolabial folds. Sooo youthful, right?
    Having a fat face and/or bad facial structure is really a curse, you can't do anything to really "fix" it. My upper third and forehead are much too short as well. It's a terrible combination, can't be fixed and it sucks. At leat with a crooked nose or something you can fix it and the surgery for it is very common and well-researched. I really hope in the future we will be able to develop something to properly help people with a disproportionally fat face. Nowadays all I get is that "you're not supposed to remove fat from the face under any circumstance because you will need it once you age!!", though I can't imagine that to be true for every type of face. Some people just clearly have too much facial fat (while others may indeed have little that will imapct them while aging).

      try to research jaw surgeries and check your bite, if you have overbite (check youself, detist might not to tell the truth) it can give you extra chubbiness

      Hey there, have you ever thought about using make-up? It might sound awkward (especially for men) and of course it is no permanent solution. But it can really change the way a face looks. Speaking of make-up don't mean mascara, lipstick or anything else 'decorative'. I'm speaking of a solid foundation, lighter and darker compact powders for countering and highlighting, concealer to correct spots or eye circles and kajal or gel to define the brows. If you find the right products for your skin and learn a solid technique make-up can make a huge difference. I'm not selling beauty products or anything. It is just my personal experience how using subtle make up not only changed the perception of my face but also I experienced self-efficacy which had a positive effect on my self-acceptance and self-esteem.

      Water retention and, especially, fat percentage can play a big role. The reason why you see people who are slim yet have fat cheeks or fat on their neck is simple, it's because fat accumulates in those areas due to individual variations in fat distribution. This is one of the ways in which people can have a higher fat percentage despite having a normal BMI.

    This is how to do it, no bs.
    -Calorie deficit long until the fat on your face comes off, could be the first place or could be the last place to come off.
    - Do cardio to burn extra calories to help get into a bigger calorie deficit to burn more fat, dont eat back these calories burned.
    - Bonus but not necessary, but you could do a keto/low carb or low salt diet to reduce water retention. This will help your body and you're face too look even leaner.
    Another tip I will add is it's not about starving yourself. The trick is you need to choose foods that are so low in calories that it allows you to eat alot of it. Saldads,chicken,fish,low fat popcorn,fruit, vegetables etc. They need to have lots of protein/fiber. This is what will keep you full and make the process of losing fat easier. The cravings will never go away for junk food, that's on you unfortunately. However if you follow this advice I promise you the feeling of hunger will be alot easier to deal with.

    It’s all genetics at the end of the day. A lot of black models in the industry are from the Sudan region. Having Nilotic ancestry. That area has the tallest, darkest, thinnest ppl on the planet. It’s extremely difficult for them to gain weight. And the complexion does well in photography and colors in general, after all black is the combination of all colors combined so it only makes sense that it compliments any color it is next to. Plus the natural height, and bam! You have a genetic line of ppl who are built to model. All that starving yourself and watching what you eat is never a problem for them. And the men can have muscle and definition and still be very lean and slim. You guys should study the Nilotic tribes. Such a beautiful group of humans. A lot of African mythology suggests the origins of humanity began in that region.

    • @Southforthewinter
      @Southforthewinter 2 года назад

      @@owenlaurencemarzan8545 that doesn’t even make sense. When you were black on a hot day you get hotter because darkness is absorbing the light where as white reflects light that’s why those with no melanin will burn in the sun because their skin is reflecting instead of absorbing.
      On a paint pallette if you mix all the colors you get brown…
      Black contains the entire light spectrum. I don’t know how many example I would have to give.

    Tip 1: Low bodyfat makes your face more attractive
    Tip 2: Higher levels of androgens (for men) make your face more attractive. You can increase levels of T etc by lifting weights.
    Some people just have bad facial genetics, but *almost* everyone can improve their attractiveness by working on the two things above.

    I'm interested into how the Kibbe types play into this. For example a theatrical type could naturally achieve this look easier than a romantic type, because "genetically" the theatrical doesn't "hold onto" fat deposits as readily. For example allison harvard. I personally loved her buccal fat face and think the removal changed the whole vibe. As women age imo they reeeeeeaaaaaalllllyyyy benefit from some extra fat on the face. (lady from emporer's new groove vibes) I wish I had more fat pads padding my very deep set eyes that accentuate the hollows. You could also talk about the development of the muscles under the face. Is "Face yoga" real? I don't know, but I know my face benefits from making the motions it doesn't normally make and it smooths out certain areas for me, such as inversions lessening nasolabial lines.

    100% agree w orthodontics,
    I'm 20, 5'2 and 88lbs,
    after having braces my features like jawline, and cheekbones became quite prominent. When I was 16, I had my baby fat still and no braces, so I had a very round/square ish face. Now I'm 20, lost a bit of weight but the braces really helped shape my face, as well my jaw line too is more defined than some guys my age and I'm a girl. Especially straightening my teeth, made me really like the set of teeth I was born with, due to how symmetrical it was done. Really realigned my face and made it so much more comfortable for my mouth in general, my entire family has really crooked teeth, and vampire looking k9s growing from above so it's quite incredible what orthodontics can do.

    autophagy. there has been multiple medical studies to backup the claims that this process can also break down loose skin, it can make your face look more skinny it can also help with muscle development specially if you add Hilt after you break a fast..

Houda I think you mean that you have bruxism (grinding teeth at night). TMJ is the jaw joint and dysfunction in the joint doesn't necessarily increase the size of your jaw muscles. Traditionally they use mouth guards that prevent teeth grinding but I don't know if they're any good. There's also a treatment where you inject botox in the muscle and it reduces the size significantly. You can look up some images to see for yourself.
