    My lovely aunt has a chronic pain in her thumb for the last 6 months. until now, no medical treatment succeeded in a permanent relief. She finally starts visiting an osteopathy practitioner, because it is rare to find one in my country. I hope she will get better.

      Hi Abel In my experience, osteopathy has great results with tension headaches due to tightness in the neck or shoulders. Hope that helps, Ashley.

      Hi Michele I don't know where your qualification will allow you to practice around the world but our UK qualification doesn't permit us to practice in the US. In the US osteopaths are licensed physicians who can prescribe medicine. Good luck with your studies.. Ashley

    Dear sir i am 48 year old diabatese pt.i have pain in my rt. hip joint.Dr. advised for THR. is there any solution in osteopathy.

    • @PrecisionWellbeing
      @PrecisionWellbeing  4 года назад

      It depends. If your doctor has advised a THR then I can assume it is very osteoarthritic? Osteopathy may be able to help with the pain but it won't fix the joint. You should also be doing exercise and stretching. I hope that helps, Ashley

      And whip lash

    • @PrecisionWellbeing
      @PrecisionWellbeing  4 года назад

      Hi Joanne, whiplash is a very common complaint we see in practice. Osteopaths do work with people with whiplash but the recovery is still very slow because we are dealing with ligament sprain which take a long time to heal. However Osteopaths can help with the muscular tightness and pain associated with the whiplash.

      True Fibromyalgia is a very complex pain disorder which osteopaths do work with. In my experience fibromyalgia needs a multi angled approach. I find we need to work on nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle, psychology/emotional, exercise and digestive components to get a really good result. Simply having treatments may not be enough and in some cases the body is too sensitive to have treatment as it can seem too painful. I hope that makes sense, best wishes, Ashley.
