What if you have symptoms like tachycardia as soon as you get into a light dream as a result of chiropractic thoracic-lumbar adjustment and cervical traction
Thank you for this video. I have a question: 3 months ago I went to see an Osteopath who did manipulation on my upper lumbar spine and ever since that session, I'm unable to sleep. The minute my body drifts to sleep, my heart would start racing and I end up waking up. I hardly get to sleep as a result. Is this a normal response to the treatment? Is this something that can be reversed?According to the Osteopath, she worked on the area that has an important influence on the respiratory diaphragm to which the heart is connected. .She said had increasing the motion of my diaphragm and upper lumbar spine which would have had an influence on any soft tissue pulling on the connective tissues surrounding my heart!
Hi GeeGee, anything is possible but in my experience this has never happened to any of my patients before. To be honest I would expect more of an impact on the diaphragm from working in the neck than the Lumbar spine. It is more likely that something else is causing your sleep issues at the moment. I hope that helps. Best wishes, Ashley.
Very educating! Well explained. Thank you =)
You're most welcome! I'm glad you found the video insightful. Best wishes, Ashley.

Check your thyroid. I have learned that hyperthyroidism can cause a racing heart and disturb your sleep cycle.
