- Today's video is a little out of the ordinary for my channel, but I thought it would be interesting to go back to notes I took after seeing a psychic back in 1991 to see how accurate the predictions about my future were.

Most of my old journals are pretty cringey but I'm glad to look back on some good times.
I'm not on social media, not my thing. I scrapbook and journal my photos as they will last longer and still be accessible in years to come and, best of all, no trolling.

After my divorce in the early 1990's, I went to work for a nursing home, so that I could work my way through college. I was new to that town, had no friends yet, and no one working there could have known anything about me. One of my patients, the first time I saw her, pointed at me and said, "You are divorced, and have 3 children" "Your ex-husband is an evil person. Keep away from him, and especially keep your children away from him." She was really shaken up. That floored me. My ex is a convicted child molester.
I'm very skeptical of psychics, but this kind of psychic I find plausible.

I was in New Orleans on vacation in 1996 (I was in my mid twenties) and while there I went to a voodoo priestess for a reading. Now a little back story... my mother had just died in 1994 at age 54, my grandmother died at age 50 so I had it in my head that I would die at age 52. The 1st thing she said was "your mother loves you and is around you all the time." I hadn't told her my mother was dead and also my mom and I had a fight a couple days before she died and that was always heavy on my heart. (So that freaked me out.)
The only other thing I remember her saying to me was... "at age 52 your life will start over. Something big will happen and your life will change for ever." Well her mentioning 52 freaked me out and validated my feelings. For years I believed she was talking about me dying in my early 50's like I thought but in January of 2020 I turned 52 and in March of 2020 the whole world shut down and my life WAS changed forever.

My mom was a friend with a psychic. 20 years ago. Her friend kept telling me that I would make a lot of money. not like $100k a year. But million or more. Every time. She didn't have much else other than that to say about my future.
well, 20 years later. I'm making about what I was making then. Maybe a little bit more. I'm definitely not in the millions.
I don't believe in psychics, but a positive person with negative energy isn't a contradiction it's a generalized statement as well. Many people project positivity towards others while battling internal demons.

I saw a psychic when I was deciding between grad schools. I told her I had two main choices and she told me what she saw if I went to each one. She basically said out loud what I had already thought it my head. Then she asked if I had a third choice I didn’t tell her about. I did but I had been planning to cancel my trip there. She told me if I went, I’d meet someone who would be working on exactly what I want to do. So I decided to go and literally two hours into the tour I met the professor I would end up doing my research with!

No it was a random person in a bookstore in Michigan! I definitely took it with a grain of salt until that happened a month later so I wasn’t even thinking I should save her info.

A psychic once guessed that I was a musician. That actually impressed me because I didn't look like a musician. Then she said I would find a band member at this specific music store in Boston (I can't remember the name of it) so I actually went to this music store. It had closed down years prior 😂
Did she perhaps say Strawberry's? I'm in the Boston area and remember hearing ads for that store on our Kiss FM radio station. Strawberry's began closing around the same time Macy's bought Filene's department stores... Maybe between 2006 and 2009.
I went to one with a friend, as an observer, just for a laugh. My friend had seen her before and was desperate to see her again. I watched and listened. At the end of it, I asked if it was full time or did she have other work. I couldn't help myself. Said that I'd bet that she was a psychologist full time. She WAS!!!!!. She was horrified that I picked HER. I just watched her pick up on every movement of her body and leading questions. base her guess on it. I couldn't bear to tell my friend that she had been manipulated is so many ways. I simply did to her, the same as as she my friend. I reckon I was the only one laughing inside. Police investigations use it all the time. Body language.
It's so disheartening to hear of psychologists who literally use their powers for evil, when they are meant to be the ones helping people! XC

@@JustSaraliusa rule of thumb I use that if they’re asking money, they don’t have your best interest in mind. I get that people have to eat or make money somehow, but true mystics know you can’t tell the future dependably, especially more that a few weeks out. You can only give a bit of insight into what the person might be up against based on how they are handling the current archetypes at play. There are too many mutable factors! (And any reasonable person whether they believe in any sort of spirituality or not will say the same thing)
My husband had just passed away, leaving me widowed with 3 kids under 4. I was 34. The first thing the psychic said to me was, "I can see that you haven't really experienced anything terrible happen in your life.........". I just stared at her, you could have cut the tension with a knife. The backtracking on her part when I told her😐

I'd been to a few psychics back in the 90s. One was a complete fraud and I got my money back. However, I went to a specific, well-respected, and recommended psychic who did not advertise her services. I found her by word of mouth. I saw her 3 times. She gave me specific names of people I did not know until these people entered my life months later. She knew the very, very strange events happening in my life and described them in detail!! I was blown away. Not everything was spot on, but she was truly psychic. 🔮

My friend and I went to one, I waited while my friend went in. She came out looking totally confused saying that the Psychic told her she saw a statue with one eye and to stay away from it. About a year later we went to a beautiful old movie theater downtown for a concert that had statues on each side of the screen with eyes that glowed in the dark during the show. On one of the statues, a bulb went out showing just one lit eye, and remembering her visit to the psychic, she got up in fright and ran out to the lobby. She hasn't been in the place since. I think it was just a coincidence. Wierd.

About 10 years ago I was at a small social event where a psychic was another guest. She gave everyone short readings.
Mine was very specific. "You need to heal the rift with your mother, before it's too late." I kept my face blank so she didn't get a reaction ... she elaborated for a minute, then went on to the next person.
Inside, I was laughing ... aside from a short time when I was a rebellious teen, my mom and I had a great relationship until the day she passed ... 13 years before I met the psychic. There was no rift, and it would have been far too late in any case.
[Though I suppose she would have been happy to lead a seance, so I could heal the imaginary rift with the ghost of my mother. For a small fee, of course.]
A psychic told my wife she would get pregnant soon. Shouldn't a psychic have known my wife had already had her uterus removed in an operation, a life changing event LOL

I walked into a psychic's office one day. She said, "Hi, how can I help you?" I turned around and left.
My mom took me to a psychic fair in 2000-2001. The woman I saw told me that my future husband was someone I already knew, I wouldn't marry until I was much older, I would have 2 pregnancies but have 3 children and that my husband would work with numbers. I never thought about that reading until I saw this video. Even though I'm a little skeptical of psychics she was 100% right about everything. I'm a little freaked out now 😂
But, I bet they got things wrong that you choose not to remember.
I've never been for a personal reading, but I did see Sylvia Brown (?) many years ago. However, sister went to a well known psychic in our area and it was actually very eerie. It was all recorded on a cassette (that should tell you about how long ago it was). The woman was able to tell my sister details about the girls that I had *just* (about 2-3 weeks prior) taken in through it foster system. The details that she told my sis were things that only about 5 people (none of which were my sister) knew about. It later became a very big case in the next county over, but this woman would have no way of knowing ANY of it. My sister called and asked me a few things and I was curious how she had heard about it. The details had to be kept quiet due to the severity of the case and yet she knew.
I don't believe that everyone that says they are psychic actually are, but I do feel like there are some people that have a level of that ability.
It's a tricky thing in my opinion. 🤷🏼♀️

Her show was at a casino that's not too far away and my sister bought the tickets. I just went for the fun. She didn't do any readings for our group. The one that my sister went to for the good reading has moved away and I don't have a clue where she went.

I remember watching her on the Montel Williams show. He loved her and had her on all the time. I remember her telling a lady that her dead grandmother's ring was behind a dresser or something. When the lady said "what ring?" She yelled at her to "just go look for it!!" cause it was there. I thought it was funny how mad she got that the lady was questioning her.😆

That's how they all operate ... broad generalizations that are true for most everyone at some time or another. Any direct hit is purely coincidence. If they had to sign their predictions and refund their failed readings they'd be broke!

I started journaling in the summer between high school and college, which was way back in 1986, before most people in the comments were even born!
I'm a firm believer in self-fulfilling prophecies. You never know what seed planted in your brain makes us who we are. I sort of think much of religion has followed this concept, actually. I really appreciate that you saved this and went back to it. Very fun video, thanks!
I saw a psychic also back in the early 90’s. My BFF and I went to her, because she had a friend that used her, and the psychic had predicted a lot of things accurately. Most of the things the psychic said were pretty generic, but she then told me something very specific that was going to happen to me, and less than a year later it did. 😮 It really freaked me out, because that definitely was not a generalized story that could have happened to anyone.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. You just have to look at it at the right moment.

If you watch his vids you will see he has a huge concrete canal behind his lot, usually empty and would take a river.
I went to a psychic once when I was pretty young & had just suffered a break-up. Point #1, they always start with generalities that make you think they must be psychic. This one told me our break-up was just temporary. Point #2, they'll tell you things you hope to hear, but are so vague about the timeline or it's so far into the future that it's ridiculous. They have your money already in the present time, which is all they want. Point #3, my psychic was wrong, the breakup was permanent and that was lucky for me, as I met my future wife about 6 months later, which the psychic didn't see.
This is exactly the way you should process psychic readings...assess how you feel what you hear at the time, write it down or keep their tape, review years later to see the "hits". I went to a really rude psychic once, very famous, hated it, but you know what, soo many hits. Ugh.
I have not seen a psychic as you describe but I did have a meeting with someone that called himself a shaman, he was ordained and would have meetings where he guided a group of people in out of body experiences by meditation. I was a bit of a red neck then but my then wife thought he was all that and a bag of chips. The shaman and I had an one on one that my then wife requested. He did not tell me my future but he sure the hell freaked me out by telling me about my past that I have not told anyone. I am not going to get into detail here but he told me things about my past I have never said to my now ex-wife. I don't know how he knew but he knew things I never talk about.
Could be demonic. I stay FAR away from that shite.

My ex-wife kept going back for meditation sessions but all I remember is his name was Michael and he looked like Charles Manson. I think his intentions were good, I don't think he was demonic, he was very much involved in the First Nations belief system. His prayers to start his sessions were very much focused on the spirits of animals, he was not Christian and asking God, he was talking to the great spirits for guidance.
Two weeks ago some random person contacted me on Facebook and told me she had a messages from the “spirits”. She said they had an important messages about me from the “spirits”. I told her I don’t believe that stuff. She tried to convince me it’s real. I mention like 20 times I didn’t believe in that stuff. She didn’t want to give up until I just told her that if the spirits wanted to tell me anything that I was right here and they didn’t need to go through her.
Listen, if you want to believe in that crap, go ahead. But don’t drag me into your delusion of invisible people that tell you the secretes of the universe. Yeah I don’t believe and you guessed it I think it’s bull.
I think by "spirits" she must have meant the booze was talking 😂

I enjoy watching your show. Unique, funny and entertaining even with the simplest topic or item. Of course, I learned which items to purchase after your reviews. This psychic review made me smile; no, I have never consulted a psychic- but bravo. Well done as usual.
I went to one once (30 years ago?) in Hollywood. She had some signed photos of actors and actresses who had consulted her on the walls. NOTHING she said about me was true and NOTHING she predicted came true. Hmmm. She had a lovely, friendly cat though. I enjoyed that. LOL
I went to see a psychic/palm reader about 25 years ago. Not that I believed in any of it, but I do remember a few things she said:
-I would have 4 children by the age of 30 (actual number of children at the age of 30 was 0)
-I was going to be part of the entertainment industry (I'm a chemical engineer.. but I did have an acting role for a little bit, so I guess partially right? And yes, I have met Dolph Lundgren)
-My immediate future looked very bright (guess that's something nice to tell a 12 year old. I would say she was pretty wrong on that regard though due to a few events)
For the record, I did not pay for any of the advice, she was just an entertainer at an event doing this for free, and for fun, so I don't hold any grudge against her for any of this. Had I paid for this I would have considered it to have been pretty much a scam)
I went to see a psychic once at some kind of psychic fair about 25 years ago. I’ve been a skeptic since I was a kid, so I only went because my boss wanted me to “open my mind” or some shit. It was a quick reading. She made some very general statements and told me I would have twin boys in my future and there was the spirit of an old soul behind me. I don’t believe in the spirit thing and I guess she was right about the twin boys, but I’m sure that was a guess.

At 19 I went to a swap meet where I went into a psychic’s tent paid my $10 and sat at her table. The best way to describe her was a female Zoltar from the movie Big. She dealt cards after holding my bracelet, and abruptly handed my bracelet and my $10 back, and said, “I don’t tell you your tragic life. I only read people who are positive outcomes.” So I said well not even what to look out for? “Beware of a loved one with the initial M. Now leave my tent I must cleanse my aura.” I live an extremely blessed life. I’m 64 now, I’ve been married 40 years to a wonderful man whose initial is M.
Melinda Vail in Tempe. She's a medium. She predicted many things for me and my family. One quick thing, as soon as I walked into the room for put session, she was looking all over me, she said where is the tattoo for your dad? It was in my wrist, very small semicolon. She did, he wants you to know he loves it.
I read a radio commercial for a psychic who also advertised with handbill flyers. My thought at that time was that if he was indeed psychic, he should have known who would have wished to have availed his services.

An ex neighbor of mine years ago went to see a psychic one of the things she told him was that he was going to get married to a tall beautiful woman (he was tall)and have kids...so wrong...he was gay....never got married...never had kids....he stay alone....

If you're referring to an Ouija board, I'm there with you. I've had hideous experiences surrounding them including having one picked up and tossed down the backsteps w/o hands and catching on fire! Nope. Not going near them again.
Even if you don't "believe" in the "spiritual" aspect of psychics.
What I think is invaluable to psychics, is their ability to read people. Not reading into the future, but reading their mind and body language.
They'll mention a bunch of stuff, and they'll cling on to what they said, when they read that you have reacted to.
Takes a lot of charisma / persuasion to be a good psychic... but really, this skill could just be used in another field, like being an interrogator etc.
You should go to another psychic and see if they have gotten any better over the last 32yrs. Then upload another psychic vudeo to see how good or bad her predictions were.

We were moving and looking at properties on the internet. My hubby actually called a famous psychic from his native country. The guy said, “Don’t move to the place with the cemetery.”
I looked at the places I was considering, and one was down the road from a cemetery, but then I discovered the one I was favoring actually had a small family plot on it.
No, we didn’t move there. Actually ended up in a different state. No bodies.

Oh man! That was interesting! She did give lots of general sort of bits of info so sbe could seem to be accurate, and then of course she then made educated guesss. Overall, it seems more entertaining than anything else. I assume good psychics give you general statements to get you to reveal things to them and then work off of that. I would assume the techneque tbat works best is to make the person getting the reading to give up information unintentionally and then get it fed back to them in the form of predictions, or to make things sound very specific but actually be quite vague in reality. Finally, telling you what you want to hear makes you trust the psychic more.
The last psychic I went to see was bought as a gift for me from the guy I was seeing at the time. She told me that he and I were destined for each other and I was gonna marry him. We barely lasted a month later because he cheated on me and tried denying it even though I was shoving facts and evidence in his face. What I didn’t tell that guy was as we were leaving I noticed a cop car parked behind her house on her property. We both worked with the police at that time, so I was able to put together that he knew her one way or another and fed her things to tell me.
Thirty-five years ago when I was approximately 19-21 I had a dear friend who was much older than I. She told me that she did ‘Readings’ on people and she wanted to do one on me. The only thing I remember is that she was absolutely sure that I would marry a man who was of an Indian background. I grew up in Alaska and always felt a connection with indigenous people. But I also found many East Indian men to be very attractive. Welp, I’m 55 and I still haven’t fallen in love with an Indian!

My husband loves psychics. I have set through many readings. Only one has impressed me. She got the letter of my first the month and year we were married and a few other things. She was spooky . But we could never find her again. So I bet she was an alien or ghost.
A friend of mine took me to a psychic once 10+ years ago. As soon as we knocked on her door, she went on a rant about why I shouldn't be there and the energies were not good that day. After reluctantly agreeing to see me, she charged me upfront (think I paid $20 and my friend other $20). She said a few interesting things about how several of my ancestors protect me. Halfway through the session, she tells my friend "thank you for bringing him. This is a good day for me to see him". I was going to point out the "contradiction", but I let it slide. Most of the session focused on my relationship at the time, which she said it was very toxic and I needed to get out of it yesterday. Don't remember her saying anything about my future.
Not even a week later, my girlfriend and I broke up after I got some intestinal fortitude to call her out on her BS.
Interesting experience for sure.

My friend went to see a Psychic wearing a necklace I gave her. The Psychic asked to hold the necklace and then predicted that she would be moving out of state. My friend came to the conclusion that the Psychic predicted my future because she was wearing the necklace I gave her. I ended up moving out of state and my friend didn’t move. I think it was just coincidence.

Yes I have to admit, I had kept seeing this Psychic place on the side of a busy traveled road which I had been always curious of going to. I myself had never been to one and always a skeptic. So of course I went. I shelled out over 50$ and was given a Tarot card reading and I didn't ask really any questions. She said if I wanted to I would have to pay more! So the cards she did read, yeah they were not true predictions of what was to come. I think that same place is there and is family owned. And no I am not going to ever go back. And I think this was done around 2012-2013. But I was glad I did it just to say I have. And was I happy about the price I paid for a bunch of nonsense.... No LMAO 🔮💸

My husband (before we met) was in Texas for work and he ran across a carnival/street fair and he decided that he would get his fortune told. The psychic asked what he wanted to know and he asked if he was going to find a wife soon. She told him that he will find his wife when he moved far from home (he was living in Georgia, I lived in Virginia) and that the way we met would happen with electronics. Great video. I'm an Atheist and a total skeptic, always have been my entire life. When I was in my late teens in the early 80', my party trick was giving 'psychic readings' and I was surprisingly accurate despite the fact I am not nor ever have had psychic powers, I was just out to prove they are not real, but, I never told anyone that until the end of the evening. It's seriously easy to do, as you found out. I was just giving out generalities, anyway, my hit rate was around 50%, but, that is what people remembered, the focused on the 'hits'.
If psychics were genuine then they'd be able to predict hhe lottery numbers and be very, very rich. But, I saw a 'psychic' called Lisa as the guest of a contestant on Deal or No Deal on a re run recently and wondered why they didn't have her predict which was yhe million dollar case.
Psychics and mediums are fakes, charlatans and con artists.

I did see one when I was younger, I somehow could read her cards even though I've never seen that deck before. Psychics will tell you the strongest path that you life is leaning towards. And at the time I was looking into moving to Arizona with a couple friends of mine. She said the one friend was a clown (which he was literally, went to clown college and everything), so she told me all about how the move would go and how good it would be for me.
That was my strongest path at that very moment, I was really planning on moving with them, but things happened that stopped and hindered me from doing so.
So no her predictions didn't come true, but she was spot on with a lot that she said.
She did tell me "the evil eye" was following me or watching me. Years later I learned the evil eye is actually a protection symbol and she made it sound scary and foreboding. So that was wrong.
She also told me my 3rd eye was open and thats why I could read her deck even though I had never seen it. At the time a lot of weird things were happening around me, so who knows.
It think psychics can be real, but I think the real ones are very hard to find, and there are a lot of scammers out there.

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in a foreign country. I gave a coat to a little boy. He said his grandmother could see the future and would do a reading for me. I couldn't understand her so I recorded it and later had it translated. It turned out really specific and accurate about things that did come to pass. No way it was general hunches. Some people do have this ability.
"Generally positive person with a lot of negative energy" could basically mean, "You're clearly having a bad day, which is why you cam to me... but in general, you have a positive outlook." Or something like that. It doesn't really contradict. That's very similar to, "Water is generakky the best way to stay hydrated" but also you want something with electrolytes if you're already dehydrated.
But yes, everything said is far too generic and broad, so even when "accurate" it would apply to most people.

I have only had two experiences as I just did it for fun and not really a believer. One was a palm reading that I paid for. I left feeling she was full of crap. She got so much wrong but then surprisingly she got the important stuff right. Second, I had a family member do a tarot card reading. Once again, I thought she was wrong, but again most came true. They do generalize, though. Still not spending money on this stuff but fun to do as entertainment once in a blue moon.
i didn't really believe either until one proved me wrong. my cousin went to see him and he broiught up my mom, who she never mentinoed. and hebrought up stuff about here nobody told him and few people knew. she passed away in 1995 on my 19th birthday and he said she watches over me still ❤
Saw a 'psychic' when I was aged 18. I went with my landlady at the time. We still talk about it to this day. That was in England in 1984. Psychic said she sees me all over the world, but eventually settling down in Canada. I now live in Ontario and I have no idea whether that 'prophesy' influenced me or not. I was offered the opportunity. Did the 'psychic' many years before influence my decision? Maybe. But that said, I'd rather be telling people I took the opportunity and failed than tell them I wish I hadn't turned it down.
