There's a story from a costume designer at a tour when Madonna stopped rehearsal and said the costume had been altered by a couple of inches, she felt the difference in how she was moving in them. The costume designer was flabbergasted because it was true and she thought Madonna would not notice but it was an example of how precise she was about everything

She is Mother when she’s on tour. As the dancers are very young, she always used some time to expose them to other form of the arts on tour.

Johnny, the Vegas shows are always great for fans that can travel there inexpensively. Most flights to Vegas are cheap. We buy tickets there because the crowd is so full of suits, tourists and industry admitted for free- the crew usually rounds up obvious fans in M regalia to pull up to the front or pit (with a band) in exchange for the promise of dancing and screaming all night. We help keep her engaged. Lol. I've had that fortunate experience twice!! Cheap flights, cheap city, cheap tickets, cheap bragging rights... Who cares?! Front row, baby!!!

For many years I watched this documentary on the US version of the dvd/cd release. When I watched on a streaming platform, I noticed it was edited shorter.
I forget which scenes were omitted.

She created Music , American Life, COADF and Hard Candy while being married to Guy. The Drowned Word tour, Reinvetion Tour, Confessions Tour were of that time period too. The marriage ended but as she would later admit in one of her songs on MDNA, ‘ It wasn’t always perfect, but it wasn’t always bad.’

@@bentoth6377 True. She was adventurous and cool with American Life and Music. Her next three albums were not as risqué. Yet, they are amongst her most enjoyable. What’s undeniable is that Guy had a tremendous effect on all these five works. MDNA released four years after the divorce had Guy all over its DNA. 2000-2012 is the Guy Richie era. This is my favorite Madonna era.

    nice rection, mister.
how about the documentary about kylie minogue, it is called white diamond, the return back to the stage after being diagnosed with breast cancer. it is very interesting, and amazing to see her coming back to her second part of the showgirl tour back in 2006.

I've never really liked Guy and having read the latest Madonna biography, A Rebel Life, validated and ramped up my disdain for him. He was highly insecure and thought he could make Madonna his little woman. Ultimately he failed (thankfully) but took a good chunk of change with his departure.

it seems to me that Madonna tried to show us that life is more simple than some had tried to make us thinking… is more simple than the tora itself, that’s why she finished her documentary with simple words and a powerful question: when will we start TO ACT in order TO MAKE A BETTER WORLD? WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?
It seems to me that the final message is that: it’s all about LOVE, LOVE is the key, the tool to make a better world (and don’t forget, Madonna said that LOVE IS UNDERSTANDING 🤓❤+🧠)

this is not my favourite tour of hers, but this documentary is really fascinating. I agree, I absolutely can't stand Guy Ritchie. He just seems like such an entitled and selfish jerk. I think they were just on two different paths. She was much more mature at this stage in her life, and he was, as you say, a giant man baby. He was lax and let Rocco slack off and smoke pot in the basement whereas Madonna wanted her children to be ambitious enough to pursue their own passions and careers, and work hard for them, rather than just being lazy nepo babies. Just two completely different temperaments and mindsets, mainly because he was raised in a pretty wealthy family, and she scratched her way to the top.

Ahh, that's interesting about him coming from a wealthy family - very different to her indeed. I'm sure he's got some good qualities. Maybe.

Ironically an edited documentary about her RAW feelings ❤. Time gives certain about her words and actions. Yes I cried too and yes o hated Guy too 😂. Btw this CD 💿 it's not available on some streams platform... Maybe 👀 she's mad about a guy 👀... So, it will be her secret 🙈

The "fans" who complains about Madonna’s political inserts, heard her discography wrong, completely wrong. Because if there is one thing that Madonna’s art is and always has been, it is politic.

    Awesome commentary Johnny.
Love how you diplomatically managed to convey your classy positivite thoughts/feelings as well as negative impressions without necessarily saying the words and withholding a reaction on the possibly divisive aspects.
    Good on you.
On the other hand, like many others, I was thoroughly disappointed when this documentary came out for a myriad of reasons and still to this day believe she deserves to be criricized for political engagement whenever it was misplaced, counterproductive, placating and little more than pathetic virtue signaling - as it was during this phase of her career.
But that would require a whole another essay...
    Keep it up 🖖

15:15 Las Vegas is the worse place to see a show. The majority of shows I have seen in Vegas is a lot of casual drunk fans who are only there for the known hits and a lot of middle Americans in town for a convention.

I’m not sure if it was on purpose or not, but in this documentary we can clearly see what kind of superficial person is Guy Ritchie, probably because he has a lot of money and he has to “work” just a little to keep on that level of life, I don’t know
