It’s not about Ben Simmons. His situation is what it is. The Nets fired Vaughn because he’s failed to develop and build the team around Cam Thomas. Bridges was never meant to be the franchise player moving forward.
The franchise player moving forward is supposed to be the player that's making $37 million a year. That is the crux of the situation. Ben Simmons is overpaid and he's taking up salary cap space which prevents the Nets from getting a star player. The Nets have great supporting players but they need a Luca or a Jokic or a Khwai, or a Paul George. A player that can consistently score thirty a game. And that player should be the guy who has the huge salary. But that guy is being paid $37 million to play sometimes and averages 6 points per game.
My point is that it IS about Ben Simmons. Simmons is the reason for the Nets failures because he can't produce and the Nets can't get rid of him because of that huge contract. 6 points per game SMH.
@@killerjoe7596 Simmons is only one player, and he was never an elite scorer to begin with. Simmons was supposed to add value on the defensive end. I agree with you that the Nets made a mistake in making that trade for him, but literally no one knew about the back issues before the trade. The Nets can’t force him onto the court, and if they release him they still owe him the remainder of his contract.
@@jso416 I'm not blaming anybody. Someone who could get up and down the court and do some aesthetic looking things in the open court every once in awhile, but he was never a good point guard; completely inefficient in the half court offense. I don't know why Doc Rivers kept him at point guard. I always suspected that Ben Simmons career was a bit of a fraud. In time I was proven right. One bad player on a basketball team can really screw up that team. Especially if he has an outrageous contract.

Nets do plenty of that for everybody 😂
Theprussa continues to embarrass himself
@@ddoprre7486 no I don't. Flight Mike always over exaggerate stuff. And doing complete deep dives instead of just getting to the new updates is also annoying.
This what happens when u buy into “ when u can get a superstar u gotta move heaven and earth, trade everything “ mentality
I haven't been a Nets fan for so long I started to like the nets and basketball as a sport in 2019 the nets with all star dlow and a fun team was great basketball but when kd and kyrie came I feel like they ruined the team and now eventhough we have good players like cam thomas and Johnson and Mikal and clax I really worried for the future man🤷♂️
if kd and kyrie can knocking on your door u take it i see what u mean tho
Please stop the nets embarrismenting them selves😅
Sad for Jacque Vaughn.
When Ben Simmons gets the ball, he panics and immediately looks to pass to keep from getting fouled, so he won't have to shoot free throws. Damn shame!!
Brooklyn Nets looking alot like 2011's Nj nets. lol and i don't feel sorry for them
Ain’t seen a mavs vid ina min
They should hire Showtime Ben as playing coach instead to maximize him sitting on the bench
Barbershop talk says:"The Nets will win the chip this year!" 😷🤣😂
Congrats to Kevin Ollie for getting the job...of the next former coach of BKN
The brooklyn curse is strong and well
Troy weaver wanted Ollie in Detroit owner Tom gores chose Monty Williams. Ollie didn’t turn down the job the owner overstepped our gm from his mansion in Los Angeles now Ollie is excelling in Brooklyn. Wish him success
@@killerjoe7596 So what are the Nets supposed to do, sit and cry about it? 😄 Bruh, what are you even talking about?
I'm saying that Ben Simmons and that big ass contract of his is the reason that the nest can't make any moves for a legit superstar until the end of next season when they will be free of Simmons and his outrageous contract. Simmons was never an elite scorer, but I never thought he was an elite anything. To me he was always a scratch player. Especially if he has an outrageous contract.
want to be a youtuber in this realm: 1: hottake energetic intro: then animated intro and gambling sponsor (half the video) well done then history everyone knows with b roll everyone can use repeat hot take. thats the rule gl. 99% of nba youtubers. and we are here for it...still
They need mike bud
Flip flopping... Fired Kenny Atkinson. Hired then fired Vaughn. Hired then fired Nash. Hired again and now fired again Vaughn.
They shouldve took the 2 1st round picks for Dinny-Smith. That wouldve been a lot to help rebuild. idk if they can buyout Simmons contract? But id try to trade Cam Thomas to the Pistons for Jaden Ivey. I dont think Ivey & Monty Williams are gonna work well together so Pistons might actually look to trade Ivey. But to have Ivey & Bridges would be better. Make sure to draft a solid player coming up. Idk who is open to get maybe as a free agent?
Ben "The L" Simmons is a dawg, Panda mentality, taking first MVP with 6.8ppg 💪
As a diehard Nets Fan the drama that's been going on has been completely embarrassing literally The Best thing right now is that make the decision to fire Sean Marks he's done absolutely nothing but make dumbass decisions that have ruined this team to the core it's an disgrace to the Borough of Brooklyn that this team has to look like this Period 💯🤦🏽
How unprofessional is it to be outright laughing at a player? And you know this was planned by the network because at no point did they cut the audio, AND they panned the camera bac to them. They wanted it to be seen and the fact that people are will to go along with attempting to embarrass a person on a national show
Ben isn’t a bench player. He’s an injured player.
Imagine if goggins was his support system
The Nets are proof that prefabricated “super teams” don’t always equate to rings. The Nets were STACKED & still couldn’t make it work. KD should’ve never left GS because now he’s been exposed. And like Kobe said, Harden will never win a ring.
Whoever made those decisions to turn down possibly 7 first needs to be fired. Bridges is good but you can’t build for long around him. Flip him for the best package and then flip DFS for 2 first if you can. Then somehow get a team to take Ben S.
nets are a dumpster fire
i respect u more for saying it didn't hit
Do not gamble folks, its not good for you
Coach bud could get a chance
can’t wait to hear shams’ name pronounced correctly

Didn't know DSJ was still in the league lol
I've watched a couple of their games, he's gotten much better, especially defensively
The dumbest franchise in the league.
Ben just needs to play more fr
We'll never have long term coaches like pop, tibbs, or spoestra ever again in the nba😂
They should hire Doc Rivers
