    Two weeks ago, I hiked Mt. Pierce, my first 4,000 footer.
    Today on a perfect Fall Day, I hiked Mt. Tecumseh.
    I wouldn't have done either without this video.
    Thanks Taylor!!!

    This was a great idea for a video. It seems like a lot of the videos of the AT in New Hampshire show these heavy-duty climbs and rock scrambles in the Presidentials. I have hiked Mt. Washington myself (and it was no walk in the park, at least for me). So you can get pretty intimidated by the Whites before you even get there. But your videos show some really nice day hikes that get you right up into the nice views with just the right amount of challenge. It's nice to know that the Whites can be so accessible.

    • @TaylortheNahamshaHiker
      @TaylortheNahamshaHiker  4 года назад

      Thanks! I hope people can watch the videos and then want to hike it themselves. Maybe watching me do the hike first makes the mountains look less intimidating. My next video is actually a mt.washington day hike, I’m trying to show a big variety of hikes.

      @@TaylortheNahamshaHiker I hiked Mt. Washington with my son when he was 10 years old. Instead of doing the standard Tuckerman Ravine route, I decided to go up Boott Spur, thinking the more gradual climb would be easier on him. Well, it was still pretty steep, and the uphill was constant, so it turned out to be more challenging than I had intended. He pulled through like a champion, though, even after it started raining once we cleared the tree-line. We had packed fleeces, hats and rain gear, so we were OK. It was quite a memorable hike, though. Luckily, my wife met us at the summit, having driven up the white-knuckle road and waited for us to arrive on foot.

    Tecumseh is great for beginners if you enjoy walking up stairs for hours and hours, Im one of the few who found it to be a tough one. Anything with a consistent incline is always rough.

Did 12 4000 footers so far and definitely want to explore more of what the whites offer. Osceolas and Tripyramids will be next..

    Awesome Taylor. So helpful. I just did MT Washington 2 months ago. I want to do the presidential traverse. Have you done it and would you suggest backpacking it? Thank you for all your videos. I will order from your store as well. Thank you

      If I do the presidential traverse, I'd want to try to do it in one day! I have it on the list for future video ideas :)

    Another great video. But beginner level is driving up Mt Washington and hiking across the car park, remembering to rub some dirt on your face and mess up your hair while you're queuing to take your selfie haha ;)

    Taylor, I noticed you jogging in the beginning of this video. It reminder me of my visits to Boulder, CO to see my daughter while she was in college. We would hike up some tough trails and I would see these incredible young hikers jogging up and down like it was nothing. Do you frequently jog on the trails? I think the Boulder trail was The Royal Arch trail.. if anyone of your subscribers is from Boulder area.

      I don't usually jog but sometimes going downhill I will. And there's a couple smaller trails I will jog to try to beat my previous time. I'm no where near as fit as the people who trail run regularly!

      I used to jog the Royal Arch Trail trail in college. We would race each other on it for best time starting at the water tower. Thanks for the comment - just made me super nostalgic.
