I am a huge fan of Fabula Ultima I would strongly recommend purchasing the "Fabula Ultima Atlas High Fantasy" which is poorly titled. There is much more to it than an Atlas. One of the great optional rules in it include "Zero Powers" which if you are a fan of things like Limit Breaks from FFVII. New character classes and more optional rules goodness.
The monster creation system easily takes about 5-10 mins per monster, even longer if you're making a powerful boss, but when done correctly the math just WORKS. I haven't had a single encounter that didn't feel balanced using the rules in the book.
One of the auto-generated responses to this was "That's why I designed it that way." THE MACHINE hasn't figured out yet that I don't talk about things I've made, but that others have. I doubt it ever will.
Absolutely love this game! It's one of my favourite TTRPGs of all time and it's creator always seems happy to talk about the game and answer questions on their discord. Just wish it had some rulings to help the game run smoother for smaller parties or one-on-one sessions.

Knowing Ema, calling it an Atlas is probably some kind of word play.
It's definitely on my acquisitions list, though.
4 more classes and a ton more sub systems, of course

RE: math question at the end. It's the lowest common multiple of 4 and 6 ie. lcm(4,6) = 12. This assumes the reset back to 0 is instantaneous.

Ema is a fucking treasure.
I love ALL Aaron der Schaedel videos!
Cool, I'll try to look into it for my own table.
For Karl!
