  • Brakes?! Who needs good brakes?! Well it’s been a while since I been on the Ripmo and this set of rotors just are not bedding well with these pads. Gonna put back on the Burly set and see if those Rotors still match well with these pads.
Fun times bring out the big bike though. It’s been a while. So much different than the slim Epic Evo.

For how well it descends and soaks up bigger drops, I was pretty impressed with the climbing efficiency of the ripmo I rented. It felt like a smaller and lighter bike than it was. I still prefer my lighter 140/130 Stumpjumper for the local trails though. I would like to have something in-between that and my heavy 170mm park bike.

For sure on the lighter Stumpy for most trails. The big bike is rather overkill but damn if the Ripmo doesn’t pedal so damn good. Throw some XC tires on it and you will be shocked how well it moves. I even did a 20%/15% sag for front/rear and pedaling was even more crazy. Even did XC races with it that way and was shocking people.

LOL, I feel the same way when I switch between my XC and Trail, enduro, DH bikes....it's like I've got 4 different girlfriends with 4 different sets of curves, and I love them all! Oh yeah and let's not forget about my "Mature BBW"...My '98 Downhill bike, a chunky gal weighing in at 46lbs!!!! I still ride her!!! Great video, new subscriber!
