I have years of piano under my belt, being a self- taught classical pianist, but I've always struggled how to play hymns. I've learned more in a 1/2 hour from you than I could ever learn on my own, or from taking lessons. Thanks! I hope to see more hymn videos from you.
Very well put together! I was given a list of hymns to learn, as I am starting. I already transpose my fringer drills in all major and minor key, and a few of the "nasty" keys (E flat, B flat, and B) are getting quite normal feeling. You deffenitly know what you are doing!
Thank you brother for the video. It is pretty helpful! I am learning piano myself with Alfred books. Good to know how the saints who serve piano play hymns.
If you have the time, i would like to request more tutorial of how to play hymns. Maybe simple patterns for the left hand and how to combined with other type of patterns. (: By the way, i like the way you play, simple but beautiful.
What was song you played?? It was beautiful can you do more tutorials for beginners wanting to learn how to play hymns with chords i am trying to learn but not there yet !!!
Simply trusting every day; Trusting through a stormy way; Even when my faith is small, Trusting Jesus, that is all. Trusting as the moments fly, Trusting as the days go by, Trusting Him, whate’er befall, Trusting Jesus, that is all. 2 Brightly doth His Spirit shine Into this poor heart of mine; While He leads I cannot fall, Trusting Jesus, that is all. 3 Singing if my way be clear, Praying if the path be drear; If in danger, for Him call, Trusting Jesus, that is all. 4 Trusting Him while life shall last, Trusting Him till earth is past, Till His gracious advent call, Trusting Jesus, that is all.
You are not supose to see the keys. Listen and try things out. This video is NOT for beginners of piano, but assumes note reading, technique, and theory knowledge already.
Excellent! Thank you. 😀

I really doubt whether or not a totally new comer to piano playing can understand the stuff here!
I wonder who can read your note ?
You should understand the concepts and pick any hymn to apply them.
