I agree! Hearing the terrain, brakes, etc. It's really why I just subbed today. Theis rider didn't talk as much as others that have come up on my feed. ❤
Once again I'm impressed with how bikers & hikers & trail runners share the same paths and are so courteous to each other. I love how everyone can share the outdoors!
I think one of my favorite parts about watching your videos is seeing you smash a challenging portion of a trail and just laugh at the fun you had. At the same time I'm thinking....Holy Cow! Thanks for sharing your trail riding adventures and making it so fun.
Hey Dave, been following you for a while now, as far far as I’m concerned, the less talking the better, it’s one of the reason I liked your channel in the first place.
That 360 camera has amazing depth, I’ve not personally ridden the north shore but in comparison to other videos you can certainly appreciate the pitch more while watching this video.
Hey Dave! I'm an Edmonton rider with only a few years in the sport. Your videos got me hyped to check out the North Shore and I just had my first trip up Seymour a few weeks ago (in fully toasted condition after a DNF at the Vancouver Marathon). I rolled passed Boogieman on my way to John Deere. Super cool to actually recognize the top of boogieman. What a magical place. Love the videos man! I watch a lot of yours and I find myself getting a bit more creative with line choice. Keep 'em coming!
Great vid Dave. I was listening while u ride. Seems boogie man is very tight. Your braking caught my attention. I would love to here about your braking technique. Especially for this trail. Thx Dave.
The moment you popped that skinny kicker at 3.40... landed, rode the log, then popped and placed the front wheel into the next section - I immediately thought, i can see why he got a 'small'. Literally .5 seconds after, you said "thats why i got a small". You can really see how direct and manoeuvrable it is 👌
Mate don't worry about talking during the ride. Myself and probably most actually would prefer you to just focus on your riding and progression. When you stop for a break, thats when you can catch us up, explain and talk.
@@ddangerousddave that’s what I thought too but if you get out you always find stuff to do like pivots on curbs and ledges or boosting little curb jumps into banks or grass landings
Great riding, that bike seems to fit you well the way you are just bombing through the trails. One question I have always had about that first trail, does anyone ever ride that log at 5:55? I have never seen anyone do it in a vid and it seems rideable although a bit tricky.
If I had 1oz of your skill, perhaps even a smidgen of your ability, then I would consider a hint of jealousy about the fact that your trails are so incredibly awesome… apart from the fact that you are significantly more well endowed and blessed in your abilities… respect to you!
Briliant riding skills those loose rocks at 8.15 were nasty but good recovery. Dont worry about talking and riding on these kind of trails just ride man!!
At 2:09 there's a laugh (not from Dave) it sounds like a hyena "chuckle" but I kept looking to the side I heard it from, there is no one. Did you all hear it too?
I wonder how you edit your footage from the X3 and your workflow with it. I recently got one myself and playing arround a bit. I am sure you always film i 5.7k 360 mode and reframe it afterwards. But do you use your phone for that or the Studio programm? Or combined? Using keypoints every few second or choose the screenlock function? And how do you set your fov that it always looks the same? I know, a lot of questions, but maybe you take the time to answer it or even do a short how-to-video. Cheers from Austria😎
I use studio. Direction lock first and then key frames. Find a distortion and FOV setting that works for you and then you can just reuse it for each video. If you set your camera in the same place most of the time, then you can usually reuse tilt settings too. Hope that helps!
Agree road chainsaw right away stable at the roughest ass trail stable at evrything kinda got carried away at some area grtiing scary at sending some section way to fast was hillarious it on the heavy side but it does ride light im on the playfull styll rider but those has to wait let seee✌️
You don't have to talk. I prefer not. BUT, we have to hear your laugh at least every now and then. I hope you don't become a chatterbox because everyone else is.
Do you know when I’m riding sometimes I find talking distract me from the carnage ahead of me. Although if it gets really tricky I think you said it in one of your video of how much concentration it takes, and your answer was “all of it”! So in those cases I do shut up and pay attention to what I’m doing!
If you find it hard to talk and riide but still wanna make people feel like they are engaging with you more. When you run out of stuff to say, just start saying what your doing "Nice little skiiny, Uuup and over this, annd a drop" still feels like I'm being talked to while watching the riding video and its easier for the rider to focus IMO. Also helps to add a bit more then just tires on dirt sounds. Which don't get me wrong are amazing!! but ionno the talking just fills in the gap.
More like different…buttttt kind of the same as all north shore trails, steep, roots, trees and rocks…slabs…different? Yeah from AZ, of course different.
Hey Dave, at the beginning of your video you said this was one of the first trails you rode in the North Shore. So were you just born a God and knew what you were doing? Or did you build up to that trail somehow? My first trip out to the North Shore ended in disaster for me. I ride blacks and pro lines out in Utah but the North Shore not only humbled me but it also destroyed my confidence on a bike.

I don't agree with the "I should talk more" statement. Sometimes it's nice just to watch a bike going on a path.
I agree! Hearing the terrain, brakes, etc. It's really why I just subbed today. Theis rider didn't talk as much as others that have come up on my feed. ❤
Agreed! Let the riding do the talking which Dave does very well.
Once again I'm impressed with how bikers & hikers & trail runners share the same paths and are so courteous to each other. I love how everyone can share the outdoors!

Focus on riding, talking is for pauses. Nothing wrong about that.
Hey Dave, been following you for a while now, as far far as I’m concerned, the less talking the better, it’s one of the reason I liked your channel in the first place.
Don't worry, the vast majority of my videos will always be about just going out for a ride because that's what I love most!
Thanks Dave! The chuckles make for good narration, no worries with not talking the whole time
You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. I just love watching the trees go by and seeing how calm you are on skinnies.
Your videos give me the ultimate thrill. So freaking cool to feel like I’m on that bike. Awesomeness!! 🙌🏼🤘🏼 please be careful 🙏🏼
That 360 camera has amazing depth, I’ve not personally ridden the north shore but in comparison to other videos you can certainly appreciate the pitch more while watching this video.
Agreed! Definitely gives you a feel for how steep some of the terrain is.
@@ddangerousddave Makes it look more fun too! :)
14:23 Damn, I think that's my dog that ran away two days ago!
You really don't need to talk as much as other RUclipsrs do! Your riding style is so beautiful compared to others! That's entertaining enough!
I'm here for the guy who doesn't talk much, just giggles from time to time.

Great vid Dave. I was listening while u ride. Seems boogie man is very tight. Your braking caught my attention. I would love to here about your braking technique. Especially for this trail. Thx Dave.
Great ride, mate. I don't mind the realism: being outta breath. Lol
I am always amazed when guys can chat and shred. Cheers!
You do the right mix of talking and driving 👍 Thank you for your videos and Gods blessings from the Netherlands 👍
Awesome riding! Ultimate respect for your talent on a bike!

You have some serious skills to ride that tech stuff with the speed you do! awesome video!
Can we get a compilation of fails. I think it would be interesting to get a look behind the curtains.

These trails are so good
Another dose of the weekly "Woahs!" Good riding Dave!
We need a street vid from you, like the stuff u did at the end of the video
I'm not really sure where or what I'd ride for an urban assault session. It would definitely be a throwback to the early 2000s scene though.
@@ddangerousddave that’s what I thought too but if you get out you always find stuff to do like pivots on curbs and ledges or boosting little curb jumps into banks or grass landings
crazy to me some people have this as their local ride spot
You can saw a token in half to make a half token. I have done it and it worked great.
"But, I value my pinky" Got me laughing 😂

Dang…you are so good on those skinny’s! My balance is not good and I would definitely fall off and hurt myself so I stay away from them 😩
Watching this sipping on my coffee, making me dream that maybe one day I'll be able to leave this concrete hell that is Toronto :)
If I could like this twice, I would. Love all the chunk.
What a beautiful trail!
You have some serious skills over there my friend. 👏
It's nice to see your face, sometimes! The North Shore is beautiful!
At 2:09 there's a laugh (not from Dave) it sounds like a hyena "chuckle" but I kept looking to the side I heard it from, there is no one. Did you all hear it too?
You’re videos are always the best
trail looks so good
you can hear the dirt gripping to his tyres holy
Man what a trail
Different is right!!! Ha! Crazy!!
Even if I was a confident mountain biker (I’m not really), I wouldn’t be able to talk and ride… multitasking is beyond me. So yeah, I relate.
Loam Labs counter punch…..pinky savers
dave was one of the fastest tech riders i know
Real quick and easy question
We’re did you purchase the material for the two dead cats that cover the microphone of your Insta360???
I find it funny when people refer to a medium as harder to manuver when I ride an XL lol I know it's relative to the person but still funny to me.
love your vids, 360 cam is the way to go
Unsure if true but this bike seems really fast and nimble!
Thx ✌🏻

Did u gouge ur fork leg on that rock?
You ride so fun
14:23 Is that a bear?
A dog
This is North Shore? Hawaii??
Different trails for a different rider
Bro.. my knees started to hurt just watching this video. Good stuff though
What are the people walking for? Do people use it as a walking trail as well, or is it people looking for injured riders?
Do you guys use a car to bring the bikes at the top ?
Generally we pedal up, but we do shuttle every now and then
missed opportunity for "different gravy"
Love the bike. But hate to say it, I'm not a fan at all of the new camera. Too much fishbowl, very hard to know what the terrain is really like.
I like the camera, But damn that FOV Makes me feel motion sick.
8:28 Was it the fork or the pedal ? U_U
Thats what I am interested too. Looked like the fork got a massive hit.
Dave, has anyone ever told you that you sound like Ryan Renalds at times
I wonder if he changes his brake pads every time he runs a trail like that
Please consider doing more silent rides. I like to hear the trail.
Have you ever gotten into a trail and said "No, not today"?
More like different…buttttt kind of the same as all north shore trails, steep, roots, trees and rocks…slabs…different? Yeah from AZ, of course different.
put on the electric derailleur again

Nice
Most expensive sound ever **scrapping anything made by 5dev**.. Made my wallet teary..
that entire video gave me anxiety.
Tyres - 29 ?
Tbh I don’t know how you talk at all riding an insane trail like this, I would be too scared shitless to talk.
Looks like the devil himself designed this trail 😳
Id die for sure.
Bro how tf you ride a small bike. I'm 5'9 as well and I ride a large size bike. 😂
Okay, why are these trails different?
Everything is a drop...
the camera blurres on impacts and it doesn't look very crisp. can't say I like it :(
恐くないのかな?
Im early
i watch your videos on mute - (not that i don't like your commentary)to random metal songs. dude u must try it
Sorry, I don't like the camera. Your image loses focus, and blurrs in and out. Also, you don't have to talk more.
are you jessie from the jessie show on disney channel? You goofy
