Thanks to Josh and Len from WildWays and their buddy Lynden for an amazing day! Great trails and great people made this the highlight of my trip. WildWays offers bike repairs, shuttles and SUPs and more. Be sure to check out next time you're passing through Christina Lake or visit them at www.wildways.com
Thanks for these videos that a 56 year old woman can watch and take me back to my riding days with kids in tow. They all still like riding but I can't anymore because of a health problem so I just watch you guys.
i'm not sure why youtube has suddenly decided that i need to watch mountain biking videos but after watching some of yours, i'm not mad about it. i can barely ride a bike on flat terrain, i'd probably be on my face in an instant on one of these tracks. you're super impressive to watch!
I have just actually recently ventured down the same path. The algorithm led me here and I've been hooked ever since. I've never mountain biked a day in my life BTW.
I was like - Josh seems to be quite unstable and slow for a local.. 12:00 - Oh.. Oooooh.. o.o Well... He's damn fast. I'm pretty crazy when it comes to riding blind but that's literally another level..
You also have to remember that Dave is insanely skilled. I have seen videos of other high skilled riders doing trails he's done and they can't nail the features in 10 tries (especially skinnies) that he gets first go. And every time he uploads a time trial video hes always around the top 10%
Josh is the biggest homie, pretty much single-handedly keeps the christina lake mountain bike community going along many other kind souls that work tirelessly to keep the trails maintained. If you're ever nearby drop by wildways, best shop around and great guys.
That looked - and sounded if your laughing is any indication - like a great day on the bike. Given our hot and dry start to autumn last year, can’t imagine how dusty those trails were by October.
I really enjoy watching your Videos. Just found your channel a few days ago and watched 15+ vids since. Love your riding style and of course the locations you ride at. Kind of weird that i found you just now a I am following Nick, Jordan and a few other BC riders a long time. Ride Safe!
I rode that network in late July last year. It was hot (40 degrees) and dusssssty! Loved the lake at the exit of the trails! Another cool network near there is Merry Creek in Castlegar. (+ Nelson + Rossland).
Cool trails, if I ever get back up to Alberta I'm going to have to definitely do a road trip and look for some of these places. Bit of an idea Dave, when you're riding with new people, how about a quick bike check to give an idea of what your "guides" find a good bike/setup for their trails.
13:30 Love how you just casually stop on a log, like "oh hmm, there is a branch in the way, better move" XD your stability with the bike still is crazy 16:15 It was not
So I just must not on as much concentration as you have, because I use all of it too but can’t seem to pull off the incredible balancing act you pull off. But I just so love that answer “all of it“.Seems you still have a touch of that cold, zinc magnesium, vitamin B vitamin C, and lots of fluids. And once again as always great riding!
I am doing a trip to Castlegar, Nelson, Nakusp for my holidays. Maybe I should squeeze into Christina Lake. I heard good things. Gnarly North Shore rider Caleb Holonko grew up riding Christina Lake as well.
That looked so fun until you got past the woodwork and got into all that dust! I'd love to see a video of these trails a day or two after a good rain to soak and pack everything down.
Am I getting that right that the guy in front of you is visually impaired? And he’s still riding that death defying trail at that speed??? Wow, kudos to all of you, big respect. I don’t even ride bikes well (have trouble with my balance) but it’s so much fun to watch!
It's really cool seeing a PoV from someone who is clearly a lot better at this stuff than the person leading. Really shows the expertise difference. It was a fun watch, made me appreciate the skill that goes into this a lot more.
Love your stuff Dave! Was curious what settings did you change on your Insta360 for this video, it seems the view is not as wide as other 360 vids you've done, it looks more like gopro footage?
@@ddangerousddave I figured something was different! 😂 By the way, I picked up a insta360 through your link last week. Honestly your footage is some of the best POV footage I've seen and it convinced me to try out the insta360 x3! Thanks again!!! 🤘
Have you been to the Valemount Bike Park? I'm not even a biker but from what I could see and what my ex-pro biker brother has shown me it's an awesome park

Sorry about the health problem! Any ways you could adjust for the health problem or is it just not possible?
Have you heard about an Ebike - maybe an option?

"How much concentration does that take?"
"All of it."
Yeah, I can believe that.
I just don’t understand riding skinnies like that. If I had unlimited time to practice…I’d still fall off!

He seems to have been either warming up... or sneaky 😁

Great to see a new late summer video post in the middle of winter. Nice riding, Dave.
That looked - and sounded if your laughing is any indication - like a great day on the bike. Given our hot and dry start to autumn last year, can’t imagine how dusty those trails were by October.
New series idea, “I ride x trail backwards “. 😂
I’ve been to that skinny before. I wasn’t able to do it frontwards, let alone backwards 😅
I initially thought Magnum PI was a little out of control, but he rips. Nicely done.
With that many teeter totters it looks like we will need to make a return trip this year. 😉
Your skills + the trail = Sooo good 💯

What an amazing hobby being out in the wild riding all fun and having such great views of nature great content my dude! 💚

Dave your skills are unbelievable
Stunning trails - and fearless riding! 🤙🏼🤘🏼
Man I need a trip to the mountains. So beautiful.
Your videos are incredible man! I think I want to start trying this stuff out.

Wow. That woodwork and the riding are just 💯🤩

16:15 It was not
that was awesome!! love your videos dave

What the hell did I just read
@@jessewilliams9575 No real big words or anything, except concentration, that means how much you think about something in your head.
I am doing a trip to Castlegar, Nelson, Nakusp for my holidays. Maybe I should squeeze into Christina Lake. I heard good things. Gnarly North Shore rider Caleb Holonko grew up riding Christina Lake as well.
That reverse skinny was awesome 😮
dude in white is shredding broooo. nice riding!
That looked so fun until you got past the woodwork and got into all that dust! I'd love to see a video of these trails a day or two after a good rain to soak and pack everything down.
Did they say they were from Canada? No. Did I know based on the open ice hit comment? Yes. Was it confirmed based on the Celsius? Yes
Nice Wilhelm Scream at 5:42.
How much concentration on the skinny. Dave: All of it!
Fully dialed skinny skills on display 🤘
hey dave - love your videos :) how long have you been riding for? do you have any recommendations for bikes or tips for beginners?
What an amazing trail....ide Safe Dave!!!
5:36 nice field vision it could've gone bad here

Amazing vid Dude !
Hi Sir I am from Nepal🇳🇵
Lots of love from Nepal .. ♥️🥳🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
It's really cool seeing a PoV from someone who is clearly a lot better at this stuff than the person leading. Really shows the expertise difference. It was a fun watch, made me appreciate the skill that goes into this a lot more.
I want to see you riding at the lake garda see in taly with my Friend Bert 🙈 you cant belive this trail! 😍
Cool riding
4:44. "That was fun." Um, ya it would be if we could do it. The level of hi level shit you can pull off, is very impressive. Bravo.
Backwards- Damn thats cool
perfect skinny skill👍👍👍
Love your stuff Dave! Was curious what settings did you change on your Insta360 for this video, it seems the view is not as wide as other 360 vids you've done, it looks more like gopro footage?
Thanks! This is just some old footage from last summer that i filmed with my GoPro. I feel like screaming "zoom out!!!" when i watch it 😂

"next time you're in the area, make sure to check it out!"
Meanwhile, me sitting in the flatlands of Berlin: :(
You keep your balance well
Shoulder checking trees has never been advisable. Trees do win
Awesome video! Lynden’s got me thinking, could your new bike be a Banshee Titan or Rune?
Cool videos 😁 what do you think about ther gopro hero 10 ?
You nailed it Dave! I wish I could ride in places you do.
Wow! Have you practice your skills off-mountain? Or you learning all of this in the trails?
That dust is crazy! Is that clay?
Have you been to the Valemount Bike Park? I'm not even a biker but from what I could see and what my ex-pro biker brother has shown me it's an awesome park
The trees always win
i feel like you will learn really quickly about following too close on this trail.
Sic vid!! What month was this
Do you guys have much in the way of Ticks and poison ivy?
Thanks for these!!
he drove it before so he knew wat was coming were is the fun in that
Ahaha, when he asked "How much concentration does that take?" I said "all of it" just a moment before you did.
Awesome content 🤩👌
Siiiiick🤙🤙
How do you not crash going at those speeds through dense forests?
why are you riding the meta not the clash? i want one of these two but are there any diferences besides the position of the rear shock?
The meta sx is built to be a mixed wheel bike, so 29” wheel in the front and 27.5” in the back. i think the clash is full 27.5 and longer travel?
Gnar brah
Is this still with insta360?
Yewww!!!!
01:30 - Dirt surfin!
Then I made it to 07:40 and realized what I said was premature haha!
is it an electric bike or a normal bike
normal bike
Okay thanks
What is your bike name
So i can find it
This guy sounds like if Michael Reeves was into mountain biking lol
Nice
Did you just say “37 degrees, way too hot to climb?” 37!?
👌🥳💪
Y'all almost hit tress SO m any times!
That Josh guy way too wobbly on the bike 😅
So how much concentration does that take? All of it (in other words your getting old)
Mtb does not get any better
Can you imagine those trails on 24's with no suspension and rim brakes? That's what mountain biking was when I was 45 years younger!
are you wearing mask? or glasses?
Your audience's POV was cut short by you following lesser skilled riders. You should have been leading.
Your cam settings are like looking through a bubble. Very nauseating, cannot continue to follow.
Josh looked like he was shaking the whole time
