  • O dass ich tausend Zungen hätte ('Oh, That I Had a Thousand Voices') Op. 135a No. 19 by Max Reger (1873-1916), played on the 1906 Setterquist & Son organ in Falu Kristine Church, Falun, Sweden. The façade was inspired by the famous 1631 Lorentz organ in the Holy Trinity Church in Kristianstad, southern Sweden.

    "Oh, that I had a thousand tongues!"👅👅👅That phrase might create images of horrendous monsters, especially with the next line, "and a thousandfold mouth", but it's only the beginning of a hymn of praise, for all those tongues and mouths, along with the rest of the entire Creation, would be used to praise God!👹 Personally, I'm good with thousands of organ pipes instead, such as in this glorious organ! One of Reger's little gems that doesn't even use the pedals, but this instrument has enough power anyway.💥🤩Hope you like it, and as always - don't forget to click the thumbs-up and subscribe!
