love your work, keep it up, my tip to you and most goalies, is buy a baseball and bat and glove and have a friend hit ground balls to you. it will help your glove hand game too.
Your right, you'll never see a 1st Baseman make a catch like that. But I bet you will see a catch do it and do it frequently. As a former Goaltender my self that played for 12 years at some high levels (AAA, High School, D1), sometimes the old "water bucket" save is all you can do. Shooters know that the 7/8 hole is there and they can snipe it in there. Sometimes shot comes so fast your lucky if you can get a bicep or wrist on it.
