Hello Kelly. This new cover is truly a marvel. It's of all beauty. I really admire the way you have appropriated this magnificent song. I already really liked the version sung by Stevie Nicks, but here, I was charmed by your interpretation. Everything is superb. Your voice of course which has such a particular timbre, very recognizable, full of emotion and depth, the guitar playing which is perfect, the facial expressions and the variations in the look (eyes closed or looking in different directions or towards the camera). We feels really close as if we were at a small private concert The decor in the background which is never the same from one video to the next and every time the backlight with the window and the curtains which bring a romantic and impressionist touch filled with grace And as a bonus, your smile at the end. You milk this lyric for all that's in it without getting dramatic or bellering - the understated and quietude speaks emotional volumes. I'd like to hear a studio take, with only your rhythm guitar, somewhat moderated, and either a tasteful (fills and accents, maybe a four-bar break, nothing more - sometimes fewer notes are enough) lead acoustic guitar, fiddle or mandolin added, but nothing more. You "own" this song in a way that's rarely possible when covering such a distinctive and iconic original. Eva Cassidy did it with "Fields of Gold" and "Time After Time." You've done it here. And that's high praise. Instant fan here.
Well, I am flattered, to say the least… I can’t thank you enough or tell you how much this means. I love your ideas too. Maybe one day :) I really appreciate you-thank you again. x

@@kellimoyle Yep, and you sound really great with your Gibson J., btw. I played one years back, being a huge Phil Ochs fan, etc., but it didn't quite work for me, as well (I'm more of a Guild-man these days. ;) ). But it really works for you, with your beautiful voice and style, Kelli. ;)
@@MrTeasand thank you. It took me awhile to realize that different guitars really are better suited for the individual. I also have a J-200 that I absolutely love… it needs some work done, so I decided to get another guitar about 5yrs ago. A friend of mine has a Taylor and it works so well for him. I actually bought one, but something just wasn’t quite “me” about it. I ended up returning it a few days later and went back to Gibson! It was just meant to be I guess 😌♥️
@@kellimoyle Yep, meant to be.💙🎶🎶🎶 (Take Care, K.)
that little smile...
Don’t often say this after listening to a cover of an iconic song such as Landslide, but your rendition far exceeds the original, Kelli! As I listen to you lose yourself in each song you sing, i can only think how lucky we are to be able to see, hear, and enjoy you through the wonders of youtube. Take real good care. ~ Mark
I knew this would be good before I listened…you’re a star……👌👌😀❤️
Ha☺️! I love it- thank you, Dave! x
Beautiful rendition Kelli. I love the emotion in your voice and the soft acoustic chords.
Thank you so much. Joe. x
I've heard so many covers of this over the years but this was just perfection Kelli, thank you
Wow, thank you! 😊
It looks effortless, but I also know tons of work went into having the sound you have. Great job I'm jealous 😊❤
I think maybe the trick is playing it again and again until it becomes effortless? So I guess both things 🥰. Thank you so much, Tom! x
Another great performance and great song choice!

@@MVMullins really?! I’m very happy to hear that! In a way, it has been great for me- not just for recording, but it helped motivate me to start making videos again.
I had an uncommon issue with mine this last week, and was unable to record. I wrote to them and I was very surprised to have the founder/CEO of the company being the one to respond back. He set up a zoom meeting with me for the following day and helped me fix the problem! I couldn’t believe it! I hope it serves you well!! Thank you!!

I believe this is the best cover I have heard you record. It is soooo good. Voice is perfect. Stevie;s song about Lindsey Buckingham has such a deep meaning and can be applied to many changes that we have to endure. Beautiful song, sung by a beuatiful woman ( inside and out) ! A big thank you for this wonderful musical moment of high quality.
I'm looking forward to the next video. (I try to write in English, I'm not always sure I make myself understood clearly, I hope so 😄:) Have a wonderful day and week.
Thierry ^^
Thank you Thierry! Your words are so kind, and beautifully written☺️. I’m so grateful for you and all of your support- it means so much! I hope you are doing well! x
Thank you Kelli. I am fine. I hope you are doing well too. I just posted “Florida” by Patty Griffin on RUclips. I dedicate this song to my family in Florida.
I put a link to your channel specifying that it was you who told me about this song and I invite my subscribers to visit your channel.
I hope this brings you some views and a few more subscribers.
My cover is not perfect. Some small slight errors in English. I had to change the tone.

Wow! Probably the best cover of this song I’ve ever heard. Sweetly, soft and emotional. So easy to listen to beautiful guitar work also. Is that a J-45? Looking forward to more covers from you…

@@ohIfvkingwish No?
Maybe one day :) I really appreciate you-thank you again. x
🥰🙏
Came back...of course this was great. Now I have a request that suits your mood and the use of your guitar. It is
Nanci Griffith's "LATE NIGHT GRANDE HOTEL". Pretty please. ❤❤❤❤
Ok this will have to do for now....I turned your volume down and was watching you while listening to Nanci.
I put it on my list! I will have to become a little more familiar with it first, but then I will give it a shot :)
Haha☺️
Thankyou...so much
Her rendition with Hooker on the Today show NBC was the best...with no background vocals. Your guitar would replace Hookers piano. Hope I am not being to pushy with this but I think you could knock this out of the park.
