- McHale's Navy Full Episodes: Season 1x36 | "Uncle Admiral" 27 Jun. 1963
Binghamton makes Parker his personal aide, in the hope of impressing Parker's uncle - an admiral on the Promotions Board (played by Harry Von Zell). But the admiral is uncomfortable with the fact that his inept nephew also functions as a combat officer, and orders Parker to pack his bags for a safer position in the States. He changes his mind, however, when he sees how dedicated McHale and the crew are to Ensign Parker, after they put themselves at risk to rescue him in the Bay during an air raid.
36 episodes in one season!
Now ya get 8 or 9 and then constant reruns!
Watching S1 episodes. Thank You. A blast from the past. Was 6 years old in 1963. Remember watching some of the shows back in the day. Silly now, but entertaining.
There are a handful of times in this show's run that Binghamton has to be nice to Parker for one reason or another. But every time it happens, it's hilarious!
I love this show. My father watched it when he was in grade school with my grandpa, who was a WWII Veteran.
Bar none, I like Fuji the best. Nice kid, great friend to the 73 crew. At 5:58, Binghamton gets hosed by paint, no doubt he is and was, a great comedy actor who is not afraid to get messed up or "painted" into a situation. One of the best characters on this great show.
And one of the few times he had glass in his glasses 🤓😎✌🏻
Thanks, Jackie Boy! I've enjoyed every minute of this series!
Wouldn't that be ETOA, Sir ? That line cracked me up. Thanks for posting these, a childhood after school favorite for me.
Sailord
The Of is silent. Like USA not USOA but what do I know I am just a Canadian Naval Officer.
I believe you have a point there...
Obviously the Of is silent, that is what makes it so funny
Gruber is a con to his heart! He is so conniving that he is actually funny!
Great show
"UNCLE ADMIRAL" 😎❗🇺🇸
Harry Von Zell was also on Burns and Allen Show.
Ensign is a start. Mack Gaston retired at Rear Admiral is shorter time than many others.
Hehe....Rear Admiral.... More like Captain McHale. It's about time he got a promotion.
Just imagine if the Brass found out about how Nieve and Pridefuly Greedy Binghamton was!! Admiral Parker (The Ensign's uncle) would have the man demoted to Seman class 2 straightaway. McHale would be the new Captin and Ensign Parker would be LT.
@@joshapple6905 I'd rather have pea brained Binghamton and keep a deck under my feet. I ain't no desk jockey. Besides anyone less stupid would get the goods on Gruber and the boys in two weeks.
Lol, "foreign devils" flying a P-51 Mustang!
How could you! ...my own people!
I was wondering if that could have been some Messerschmidts
In many episodes the Zero is a Hellcat with Japanese insignia.
FUGI; HOW COULD YOU MY OWN PEOPLE!
George Burns was probably lost without Harry Von Zell.
What is that ECHO Every time the crews on the PTs bridge❓😳
Sound stage
hahahaha God Help Me 🤣
One of few episodes that Earnest Borgnine was absent?
He kind of had to be. Even McHale wouldn't let the 8 balls run a casino from an air raid shelter
Kevin Swales EB is at 19:30.
Big bad gone for evening hopefully a long timeoh Anunt Camille coming down for the holidays
THEN we got 25 minutes of show and 5 minutes of commercials...NOW we get 20 minutes of lame ass commercials and 10 minutes of crap unfunny garbage...usually "reality" shows that are 100% fake.
You said it that’s why I don’t watch tv anymore
Captain Binghamton,” What’s another word for numbskull”.
Dimwit , moron , nutjob , idiot , doofus .
The admiral is Henry Von Zell, a famous radio and TV announcer.
I remember him from The Burns and Allen Show.
Same guy,
Thought his name was Harry instead of Henry
Mary Branicki I think it is Harry, yep.
I've often wondered how far is Mchales island from the main base?
Far enough. But not too far.
Binghamton used binoculars to see clearly what Mchale's crew was doing, so not too far.
Not far enough
It wasn’t “ALL” their fault...just Gubers...it’s always his fault most of the time doing shonky stuff
Why was he still in the NAVY and no no article 15
7:20🤣
Actually, it's an F-4 Wildcat
What I see is a P-47 Thunderbolt then @ 20:38 a P-51 Mustang then the P-47 again. The F-4 Wildcat has a much shorter stubby looking fuselage.
The actor playing the Uncle is real moody.

Hi
Why did Earnest Borgnine sit out of a few episodes?
It was for story line this time and in the one with the sarongs. UC McHale keeps a loose leash on the fellas, A leash nonetheless. He would never allow them to open a casino in a bomb shelter
Or, it could be a furlough 🤷♂️
Lamo😊
