Oh my I needed a good chuckle! Joe Flynn really brought Seaman Smoott to life playing himself as Bingumton! All the actors brought so much humor into our lives.
ALL OF THESE VARIOUS OLDER CLASSIC TV EPISODES ARE REALLY GREAT TO SEE ONCE AGAIN SO MANY YEARS AFTER THE DAYS OF OUR YOUTH WITH MANY NOW VERY WELL KNOWN ACTORS BEFORE THEY REACHED THEIR ULTIMATE FAME - THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR FINDING AND POSTING THEM HERE.
After all the time Fuji cooked for them. And stayed with them, it looks like they could have gotten him some sailor clothes. So he could blend in a bit.
Has to be one of the earliest examples of dual character acting on film. Joe Flynn did a superb job!Hmmm ... "Radio Shack". I wonder if the retailer got their name from this episode???
When I was in the Navy in the sixties, all radio "rooms" aboard a ship were referred to as the "Radio Shack". That was common Navy vernacular at that time. I don't know what they call them now. Maybe "communication centers".
@@danieljohnston8721 ; It was the "Radio Room," or just "Radio" on my boat. We in CIC got along with those guys, hardly ever saw them, although spoke with them via internal comms quite frequently. We used to get message traffic from Radio via pneumatic tube ("Bunny") in CIC.
Dual roles were hugely popular in television shows in the 60's through the 70's. Hogan's Heroes, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, The Munsters and other's all had at least one episode where a regular cast member was playing dual roles, and in the case of Hogan's Heroes, there were three episodes!
Poko Baby ......So true... my friends father was stationed in Bora Bora during WWII and he told us the ONLY casualties he saw were men that died by getting hit on the head by a coconut! sad but true !!
I just love the expressions on Joe Flynn's face as he plays Smoot pretending to be Binghamton. He must have been having so much fun.

Excellent episode of McHale's Navy !
Captain Binglepuss...captain wawa.....priceless.
Yeah. This was a good one!
Flynn proves here how versatile he is. Trading places is really funny. Smoot and Binghamton really put a twist on this episode.

This is so funny and entertaining.
I was almost 6 year old when this was aired. There were a few programs that aired in that time!
My favorite episode! 💖
Actually, even the smallest PT boats had a normal crew of 12 with some of the larger ones having a crew size of 17...
My favorite show always
Just great to watch this
Your loads are the best...TY

@@canuck_gamer3359 Don't forget "The Patty Duke Show."
This could drive a man to.... hair tonic. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
McHale's "plots" were always so goofy!!!!! (With The Captain getting the worst of it!)
And Gruber starting most of it.😂😂😂
That looked like she really slapped him !
I think the women did that to Flynn for a reason, probably a very personal reason.
It was a bit high. More on his forehead.
She just knocked his hat off
4:15...I can't believe I never noticed this before but who gets a hair cut while wearing a hat??? LOL
What what what what,, love it,thxs for the video,,gb
fynn did a good job , acting like a seaman
THEY HAD A LOT BETTER THEME TUNES OR SONGS ON TV SHOWS BACK IN THE 60'S AND 50'S!!!
Joe Flynn made McHale's Navy
The smoot name was used again in the big bang theory
fynn did a good job , acting like a sea man
Binghamton may have been the best character of the show.
The name is Bond. Bond Flynn!
Anyone see him playing a bad guy in the original Highway Patrol series? It is on RUclips.
And then Smoot playing Binghamton!
Too Funny❗🤓 ❤❗🇺🇸
At 3:28, Lt. Carpenter goes full Biden on Old Leadbottom!
Belly up to the bar, the drinks are on Capt Binglepuss
LmAO!!!
what what what mchale what
You know we wouldnt have all these sexual harassment allegations if all women handled unwanted advances this way..period. 24:33
Capt. Binglepuss took some serious abuse that's for sure, but especially from Parker.
And I suppose if she dresses provacativly it's her fault. Such nonsense
Funny Episode
One problem with this episode. Bikinis didn't come around until 1946 17:11 . Still a fun episode. Historically inaccurate, but fun.
Who cares?????
I'm looking for todalao?
Smoot would have been a better stunt double for Joe Flynn then that skinny guy they always used

Karl Colt There's no need to be crude and rude. We are all just enjoying a great TV series.
It's T.V. My friend, T.V. I say.
Bikinis did not exist in the mid 40's ! The Bikini Style Swimsuits came out during the mid 50's !!!
Who cares!!
