Exploring San Diego's Historic Horton Grand Hotel | Architecture + Travel

Downtown San Diego has witnessed its fair share of change. Right along it is the historic Horton Grand Hotel. Originally two hotels, they saw their golden age in the late 1800s. By the 1970s, their futures were uncertain as urban renewal swept the city. It was up to a local developer to fight to preserve the hotels, dismantling them and moving them across town for a second lease on life.
