The thing that sets Lamar apart from everyone else is his intangibles. His intangible qualities of leadership and good sportsmanship, his love of football, and his humble nature put him on the pedestal of greatness. These qualities, coupled with his god level skills, have already earned him a place in football Valhalla.
Notice how he is always smiling and laughing. He never trash talks anyone, but gives his teammates, coaches, fans, and even his opponents credit and respect. Lamar is a breath of fresh air in an NFL laden with negativity.
Now if the the Ravens can only provide him better protection...

: Just An Opinion From a Man Who Has Been a Hard Core Louisville Cardinals Fan Since Birth 60 Years Ago , On Dec. 23rd ,1961 , in Louisville, Ky :
Basketball and Football , i have , like all true Cards fans have as well , been very fortunate to have watched and witnessed a slew of the greatest and talented athletes to ever set foot on the Hardwood floors and Football Fields in this Country . . i've seen them all...Hell , my 1st Louisville Football game i ever went too , was when i was 9 or 10 years old , and watched a great Running back named Howard Stewart run thru the opposing team like it was nothing . .That Louisville Team's Head Coach back then was a short , stocky , very young and Very Firey Italian looking fella , who went by the name of 'Lee Corso'...at any rate , fast forward to Nov. 28th , 2015 .
I am , like every year , over at my good friend Keith's house, waiting for the start of the Louisville Vs. Kentucky Football game to begin on Tv , along with 25 to 30 other friends of ours . As it is every year , I am totally out numbered by Wildcats fans ( only Myself , and a couple who were there that i didnt know , were the only Cards fans in the house) but , i like it that way for a reason..ha .
As Kickoff time creeps closer , the Wildcat folks ,who by now have had atleast few beers in'em , begin talking their shit all aimed at my Cards , with half of it aimed at me as well and my red n black "The Ville... L'yes" shirt i had on . As the game started , the first 4 Louisville possessions go 3 n Out, it was obviouse that my Cards didn't hear the starting gun , or our offense had missed the 78 mile bus trip to Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington earlier that morning .
Wildcat Fans begin ramping up with the taunts and razzing, reacting to every little thing on the Television screen...Midway thru the 2nd Quarter..Kentucky-21 Louisville-0... Now most every taunt is directed towards me , all the way to get a beer..and all the way back..it really doesn't phase me at all seriously...i just simply grin at these types n nod my head and say ' Ah'ight..ok' ..Even my Bro (who never really does any of that shit or atleast , never directs it towards me) who is feelin so good about his Wildcats blanking my Cards out , gets into the act and surprisingly says some pretty raw shit , and then finds his catch phrase he thought up , and begins repeating it about every 15 seconds at me , saying "Man...your probably wondering what the hell you even came over here for i bet...your ready to go on back home aintcha? ::laughter:: . i laugh with him and say " nah bro...i'm here , i'm not goin any fkn' place'.
2:00 mins before halftime...over the Loud talking and laughing , people standing in front of the television...im sittin on the couch , and as i try n look thru the legs to see whats happening with the game , i see that after a Louisville Timeout , Petrino has yanked starter Kyle Bolin apparently , and that he is giving instructions to a skinny kid wearing number 8 on his Jersey, smacks his helment , and sends him off to the Louisville huddle with the score at 21 to 0 Kentucky up . . .i had read about this kid , a true freshman it read , wearing number 8....BANG!!....that quick....Ky - 21 Lou - 7......every person at that house was telling others that hadnt seen it ..." damn that kid is fast as hell"...Ky kicks a feild goal as time expires ..halftime the score ...Kentucky -24 ...Louisville -7......Ky people feeling good...talkin that shit even louder.
Start of the 2nd half . . . Ky-24..Lou-14 slightly quieter Ky fans..still cocky .... only a few mins later ..every single person in that house?...all eyes are on #8 , who is doing a Carving Job on Kentuckys defense like has never been seen before ...Ky Fans screaming " GET HIM!...SH*T !...HE'S KILLING US !!.....cha Ching ..K24...Lou-21 ...... Cards ball again...#8 can not be tackled and making Ky players look rediculous....cha Ching Ky-24..Lou-28....
Ky goes 3 n out...Louisville again marching down the feild...taking huge chunks at a time ....cha ching...Ky -24 Lou - 35.... Not much chatter goin on in the house now....Ky 3 n out again... #8 just for good measure makes the Ky defense look like theyve never played the sport before , 3 more times ...Louisville lines up to Kick a Feild Goal... its quiet in the house....no one is talking.......So... i look at my good friend Keith who has a blank stare on his face staring at the Television and calmly , but with plenty of volume so that everyone can hear every word im about to say...i say .... "Keith ...Hey man.." He turns n looks at me finally...n i say " Damn man ....you look like you wish that you had never even Had this party here at your house Bro ..... i Bet Your Feeling like sellin this place , packin all your shit , and Shaggin' ass to a different State huh??? " i laughed.... stood up n said " ok Im headin out ...yall take it easy"..and walked towards the door...most everyone said goodbye to me....as i went to step out onto the porch outside n go to my car ...i turned around grabbed the storm door before it shut all the way...opened it back up...stuck my head back in the door and yelled " HEY !"...everybody turned their heads my way ..and i said " can i get a "L'YEA"... ha
THAT GAME , was when I KNEW that Lamar Jackson was something that NO ONE had seen before..Ever.... Ive had some great seasons with so many awesome Louisville Cardinals basketball Teams . .so many Good times..Football seasons too ...epic one's....
But , Never have the people of Louisville Ky Had 3 Years Of So Much Fun Ever, as We had the 3 Years That Our Lamar Was here With Us....Us People Here in Louisville LOVE Lamar Jackson...For the Player he is and is going to be...and for The Person And Character that this young man has...He means So Very Much To Our Community and the young Kids here that Look up to him ...Lamar is an Outstanding , Elite , Role Model for any Child to pattern theirselves after . He is simply a Wonderful Young man.
I've sat back and watched the excitement slowly ramp up with the people of Baltimore since he arrived there...its been a Joy, and it makes us all here in Louisville so Happy to see the people of Baltimore take Lamar into their hearts and love this young man like we do here in Louisville.....it made , and still makes all of us Furious with anger at all the ones that doubted Lamar...and it made Especially Myself Soooooo Happy to see Lamar make all of the hatin' Morons like Stephen A...ect... eat Crow every season so far...... and guess what ya buncha assholes.....as he did here in Louisville.....?.....hate to break it to ya....but...this Kid is going to do nothing ..but IMPROVE EVEN MORE each year.....scarey ...isnt it? he he he
better Eatcho Wheaties Boy's...we know here in the Ville' whats in store.
And...to the people of Baltimore? ...Enjoy This Youngman...and Love this Youngman . . . we sure did , and still do... #8LamarL1C4

I agree with others and think the Seattle game was truly the pivotal moment of Lamar's career.....and it really boils down to that 4th and 2 call of Harbaugh asking Lamar "Ya wanna go for it?"
That was such a philosphical and identity switch in the Ravens culture....we had always been a Defensive lead team, but at that moment Harbaugh let Lamar know this is a new Ravens, this is a Lamar lead Ravens...."I trust in you and you're the new leader of the team." He didn't have to ask Lamar, but in doing so he made such a bigger impact on Lamar's confidence and trust with his coach. and they didn't lose again that season until playoffs unfortunately.

People bring up Vick as the best dual threat QB of all time but Mike was never the passer that Lamar was at any point in his career. He literally didn’t pass for over 3,000 yards until he was released from prison & went to Philly with Andy Reid. By that time he was on the back 9 of his career. I ain’t knocking him either because Mike was my absolute favorite QB during his playing career because at the time there was no one else like him in the league. I underestimated Lamar Jackson as a 49er fan I literally said our defense will expose him...... Well that didn't age well everyone was getting their ankle's broken people missing tackles like geez after that I said yeah he's gonna be a force in the NFL. I honestly thought the Raven's would make a Superbowl that year 💯🤯

Facts can't be slander. 1-3 with 3 tds to 5 ints and two fumbles in the playoffs can't be hate if its true.

Not even Vick, Ok maybe if Vick played in this era. But Vick didn't study clean up some of his problem areas, each yr Lamar gets better in the passing game.

Lol, no pun intended but LJ was a star as Freshman if I recall he was like 2nd or 3rd as Freshman in Heisman only to win it the next time around. Watch College Ball a lot in life and when I saw LJ as Freshman, I said to myself, "My God, he is going to erase that other guy( i forgot his name truly, lol) ugh,, oh yeah Micheal Vick. Nice video thou, never too much of a good thing in Lamar Jackson. The best thing about LJ is the fact he is a genuine class act of who he sees and be with off the field. Just say he is not a gold digger dating type and much more of not clubbing, gambling, racing, ect, ect ect. Lamar is truly a STAR in Life!!!..

Let’s not forget that a 49ers reporter/commentator or whatever he was said that Lamar Jackson can only run the football good because the color of the football and his skin looked the same . In week 14 of that year Lamar played buffalo with white sleeves on

    "He played great".
That game marked Lamar's lowest passing total of the 2019 season (105 yards), his 11th-highest passer rating (keeping in mind that he only played in 15 games), and only his 5th-highest rushing total of 2019 (and 9th highest in terms of yards per rush). It was one of only six starts in 2019 where Jackson threw for fewer than 2 touchdowns, his third-lowest completion percentage of the campaign, and the first time since week 5 (and only other game during their 12-game winning streak) where the Ravens needed a late field goal to win. If anything, the 49ers matchup served to _strengthen_ critics view that Lamar could only be effective as a runner against competent defenses.
By way of comparison, in the preceding three game stretch against Cincinnati (who came into the game 0-8), Houston (6-3), and the Rams (6-4), Baltimore had _averaged_ 45 points on offense and a 36-point margin of victory, while Lamar was a combined 47 of 61 passing for 614 yards, 12 TDs, and 0 interceptions (a 147.8 passer rating), while adding 239 yards and a touchdown on the ground. San Francisco, meanwhile, would go on to surrender 46 points to the Saints in the following week (a season high for New Orleans) while Drew Brees torched them for 349 yards and 5 TDs through the air and added a 1-yard rushing touchdown of his own.
I'm sorry, but this video just doesn't make sense.

statistically you're right but there are more factors. the weather was awful that day (I was there) so throwing was gonna be hard. 49ers defense was definitely good (saints were still good and that game was in NO) and they knew it was gonna be a run heavy offense more than usual. he still had 2TDs, plenty of rush yards, quality throws, and a late drive for the win.
The knock on lamar was he couldn't win big games and would struggle in those moments. this game proved that was not the case. yes he beat up on bad defenses in prior games, but now he could do it against the best.
ravens fans already knew he was a superstar but this just made more people realize it

    • @Harv72b
      @Harv72b 2 года назад +1

@@reid7987 I'm also a Ravens fan, and a huge fan of Lamar. But you're mis-remembering your timelines here...the "Lamar can't come from behind" and "Lamar can't win the big games" narratives hadn't really been born at that point. The big criticisms people tried to throw at him back then were that he was just a glorified running back who could hit wide open receivers over the middle of the field and not much else, and that against a good defense which took away those routes he would struggle as anything other than a runner. Weather aside, his performance here made those arguments louder. It's also worth noting that Jimmy Garappolo put up much better passing numbers (still not really _good_ but much better than Lamar's) in that same game.
My point is that if you're looking for a game from Lamar's first two seasons that "made him a superstar", this was one of the worst contests to choose. Week 1 of 2019 against Miami, week 3 when Lamar & the Ravens stood toe-to-toe with the Chiefs, the week 7 win in Seattle, the week 9 win against the previously undefeated Patriots who had not allowed more than 14 points in any of their prior 8 games (and where Lamar posted a passer rating 27 points higher than Brady en route to a 37-20 drubbing)), the "he broke his ankles!" game in week 10...Lamar was already well established as a superstar long before the Ravens rolled over San Fran.

It was well known that 2019 49ers defense couldnt handle mobile qb’s so idk if this is consdiered to be “the game”. Hence why Kyler Murray had some of his best games and Russell Wilson played well in both games.
