Ray,
We're so thankful you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the Super Thanks, dear friend! 🤍 Jess x
Low key is fine! Just a little support here and there.
@rayfielding any and all support is appreciated from us! We love sharing our lives with you all.
Well admission to museum £8.50 less £4.99 so have saved 3.51 on visit. That’s a bargain 😜
@rayfielding, that's very true. All thanks to your kindness and love! 🤍
That was extra special - and very interesting. Weren't those old cars such beautiful colours ; it rather belies the idea that older cars were all painted black. What a treat ! Thank you. Sheffield South Yorkshire.
It was such a lovely and well put together. It is always too nice to be able to share in our fun adventures with you all. 🤍 Jess x
Blimey, what a stocked museum! And nearly all British items of history. Mini Cooper, Hillman imp, Wolsey, etc etc
Wonderful. Thanks for showing 👍
Right, it was wonderful! 🤍 Jess x
Thank you Jess and Chris for the fantastic experience I would most probably still be wandering aimlessly amongst the exhibits in my element. Love to you both.
It was so amazing and beautifully put together. Thank you for sharing your time with us. 🤍 Jess x
Brilliant tour, thank you so much. I can not believe there is so much more to see now. Mind you, it is probably about 50 years since my last visit. Thanks for posting.
Friend, it was a lovely experience, and we're so glad we could share it with you. 🤍 Jess x
Superb! Love the 1940s music and the Norton motorbike! Thank you.
It was such a lovely experience! 🤍 Jess x
Great video 👍 The museum was a historic treasure trove of items and cars and bike thanks for sharing 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's always fun sharing our fun adventures. It was a lovely museum! 🤍 Jess x
Wonderful vlog, Bourton-on-the-Water is lovely in the summer time
Thank you, dear friend! It was so amazing to check it out and share it with you. 🤍 Jess x
Wonderful vehicles, there and nice touch seeing the photos of British film stars of the era behind the steering wheels of the cars. No doubt there's others dotted around the country but if Chris is interested in that kind of thing, there's a really good motor museum down at Beaulieu in the New Forest.
Lovely, thanks for the recommendation, love! 🤍 Jess x
Great video. The museum was larger and more diverse than I was expecting. 👍
You and me both! It was a lovely experience. 🤍 Jess x
Being a 50s child, I remember most of the exhibits were part of my growing up. Frightening to think I'm a museum item😮
I completely understand, my friend. All our music is now being played as oldies. 🤍 Jess x
What a wonderful treasure trove you found! So much to see. Love the enamel signs too, so much classier than anything around today.
My friend, it was so incredible! 🤍 Jess x
What an amazing museum,beautiful cars.
It really is! Well worth the visit. 🤍 Jess c
Wow, not only is that an amazing collection but it is so well put together.
💯 agree, my friend! 🤍 Jess x
I loved the your of the motor museum with lots of awesome antique cars and memorabilia .
I'm glad you enjoyed it, friend! 🤍 Jess x
Some beautiful cars that were made to last. Not like the plastic ones they make today.Even the design and shape of the older cars were great.
I agree with you, friend! 🤍 Jess x
That place was rammed to the rafters!! AMAZING
We loved it! 🤍 Jess x
What a lovely museum...❤x
It really was very nice and well put together. 🤍 Jess x
I don't envy the person that has the job of dusting that place.
Oils well that ends well😃
Right, it would be a job that would never end. No, thank you! 🤍 Jess x
What a great museum 👌. Some expensive beautiful vehicles in there 😍 👌
It really is! We love our time exploring. 🤍 Jess x
My first thought was £8.50 for what will be just a little museum seems a bit much. Wow, you could spend a week in there and still not see everything!
Was well worth every penny! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. 🤍 Jess x
Hiya Jess and Chris, I too thought £8.50 was a touch steep but OMG what a wonderful place to step back in time and worth every penny. Great to see the Mini and how its evolved through the years and is still popular today. an old Black taxi and the OXO van.😊 Nice to see some American signs too , I noticed a couple from Cleveland 🇺🇸 .
This museum was an added bonus to your last video, many thanks.
Have a lovely Wednesday my friends , take care and mind how you go. xx ❤
Stephen,
It was definitely well worth the money spent to tour such a lovely gem! We're glad that you enjoyed it as much as we did. We love seeing how vehicles have changed over the years. The signs, cars, and other items made us feel like we had just stepped back in time. I definitely feel like I was born in the wrong era. We're very thankful that they allowed us to video, so we could share it with you all. As always, we love and appreciate your support. Have a lovely Wednesday! 🤍 Jess & Chris x
What a treasure trove - don’t think they could pack much more in! 😂
Right! It was fantastic. 🤍 Jess x
Grateful thanks to all those kind people who donated their classic, well loved cars, motor bikes and Times Past tools...Beamish is also a living museum, worth a visit if you will be still here in UK?
Yes, it was such a lovely well put together a museum we really enjoyed our time! 🤍 Jess x
What a wonderful vlog thoroughly enjoyed.
We are so glad, friend! Thanks for sharing your time with us. 🤍 Jess x
@2:30 is a vintage/pre-war Morris Minor. I own one built in 1932. I keep meaning to pop down to Bourton-on-the-Water to visit this little museum. No excuse as I'm only 35 miles away 😄
It's such a lovely museum. We loved exploring it. 🤍 Jess x
If you can you should try the Shuttleworth collection at old Walden, Bedfordshire for old cars and airplanes. The Landmark trust have a few older properties in the area that you can rent - Walden Abbey would probably blow you away built in 1135.
Lovely, thanks for the recommendation! 🤍 Jess x
Looks awesome, thanks for filming. If ever you're in Norfolk, there's a motor museum next to Caister Castle which is well worth a visit too. 😊
Thanks for the tip! We appreciate your time sharing with us. We will try and check it out. 🤍 Jess x
That was great, I live about 30 miles from there but have never been to that motor museum. 😊
It's definitely a place we would recommend checking out! 🤍 Jess x
3:15 The two-tone Austin 7 is an American Bantam, produced in the US under licence from Austin. The American Bantam company later designed a military off-road vehicle which became known as the Jeep, produced in millions for WW2 by Willys and Ford.
Thank you for sharing with us. 🤍 Jess x
I went there in July. It’s probably one of the best ones to visit. Did you spot Brum? It’s a little yellow car, Brum was a children’s television programme and was partly made there in the museum and surrounding areas. My son used to sit and watch Brum when he was a toddler (he’s nearly 22! 😂).
How lovely! It did say a television show was produced there. That is very interesting and nice to know. 🤍 Jess x
that green 1946 standard 8 is really nice. never heard of this place, might be wort a visit next time I'm down that way.
It was lovely. We definitely recommend checking it out! 🤍 Jess x
Went around that museum years ago, like an Aladdin's cave, it just keeps going, also went around Beaulieu motor museum in Hampshire, a pretty area. Did you see the model village at Bourton- on- the- Water?
We loved the museum but didn't check out the model village. Thought this was less visited, so we love sharing things that most would miss. We love being here and supporting all this country has to offer. 🤍 Jess x
A little note that the AA badge at 4:07 on the green car indicates Automobile Association. The AA was a mobile mechanic club which you could join for a fee. If your car broke down they would come and, if possible, repair it. The interesting part is back in the 1950's & 60's the mechanics often rode motorcycles, later small vans, and if the patrolman saw a car with the badge on they would salute that particular car. Same for RAC too.
We have seen that and heard that before too. If we are able to find a classic with one of the badge on, it would make it all the better for when we take it back. Cheers, Chris
@@DaydreamersBarn The first original ones were metal.
When you owned three cars from New and they are now in a museum!! My first Mini 850 subframe rusted out! The battery tray in the Boot rusted and the Battery fell on the floor!! Pride and Joy Triumph' Toledo 1750 fantastic upgrade sadly suffered the same fate. Looks a very good day out and only £8.50.
Friend, we all just get better with age! So take it as a high honor as I do. It was such a lovely museum, and we highly recommend checking it out. 🤍 Jess x
😢Hi Guys , love a good museum, if you haven't already you should go to londons imperial War museum it's free has 3 floort. The letters and personal stories I found very moving when I went well worth a visit 😊❤
We also love museums. We are definitely going to check out that museum soon! Thank you, friend 🤍 Jess x
Fantastic place 😊😮😮
Was there two years ago well worth a visit 😮😮allow at least half a day 😮😮and you still miss items?!!!!!
It was such an amazing place! 🤍 Jess x
I bet Chris's eyes lit up with ideas for his man cave back in the 🇺🇸. Whatever happens, don't let him visit Duxford, Shuttleworth, or RAF Cosford aircraft museums 😅😅😅
Oh, we plan on checking them out soon, too! Chris definitely deserves whatever man room/ house he wants. If I could give it to him, I would. 🤍 Jess x
🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarn You can easily spend a whole day at Duxford ! The best aviation museum in the country !
Looks fun. I sent you 2 coffees/beers but messed the app up! Did you get them? All the best Patrick
Patrick,
It was a great time! It was like stepping back in time, and I loved it! Unfortunately, I checked, and we received 2 beers/coffee from a person with the name listed as Someone. I'm not sure, my friend. We love and appreciate all your support! 🤍Jess & family x
Wow, so crammed full of memories but I hope that the music wasn’t as loud as it sounds on the video !
Great to see a pre war Riley there, owned a couple in the '70's, a '38 and a '39. a 15/6 saloon and a 12/4 LWB saloon. Good sporty cars until BMC bought the company late '50's and they became badge engineered posher Austin / Morris cars. Finally killed off as part of British Leyland.
Thank you for sharing this with us, friend! 🤍 Jess x
Wouldnt mind a look through there myself. where was this. really interesting jess and chris
💯 recommend checking it out, friend! 🤍 Jess x
Don't tell me this is your 1st choice car showroom to buy a new car? Best of luck with that! LOL!
Haha, oh man, they wouldn't cut us a good deal, so we had to move on. It was a lovely museum. 🤍 Jess x
