I’m so very sorry you have been treated this way. Sadly I honestly think most women have at least one experience in life where we are treated like that. What a distressing experience. It took a lot of courage to come out with that situation to us. I admire your ability to use sharing what happened as an opportunity to gain a sense of empowerment. And also help others feel that they don't have to keep quiet about being abused. I live in Nottingham UK, ('angry car' VW Golf with a loud exhaust.) and I know you went there, and Belvoir Castle, near Grantham recently. If I knew you were there, I would have liked to say hello, and wished you well. Gentle fist bump on your shoulder. You are always welcome in the UK, even if the weather is not great sometimes.

There are awful people in every country. How the culture you live in deals with them is the important thing. I hope the person who hurt you was punished accordingly. Something bad happened to a friend of mine in Spain back in the eighties (#MeToo) and she wasn't believed by the authorities back then. I'm sure things have changed, but it did taint our opinion of the country for a while and we shouldn't have let it because of one awful person. I'm glad you haven't let one person taint your experience here. 🫂

jess as a man i think that men who do that sort of thing are a disgrace.i hate alpha males. i have an older sister and a younger sister and i think that havring a sister makes boys better men and how to get on with a member of. the opposite sex who is not there mother. i have been in a couple of situations where i could have done something terrible to a woman because i have sisters i walked away and did nothing the reason is i would not have have liked to have had something done really bad to my sisters jess well done for having the guts to speak out

Shocked when you told us that Jess, but of course it is a widespread problem of Presidents and Prime Minsters and minions abusing either their position of power or access to bring trauma to innocent bystanders. The only way fir it to be countered is strict rules of etiquette and punishments of offenders no matter their rank or popularity. Sorry you witnessed it in this country but the UK is at least attempting to eradicate or at least lesson the instances of such abuse. Take care and take the happier memories with you.🎉

So sorry to hear you went through something so awful. Abuse is always disgusting. I hope the abuser was punished appropriately and that you had access to some support groups. It sounds trite, but really talking through what happened does help you to deal with traumatic feelings generated by such horrible incidents. Talking about it on your channel must have been so hard but all women and many men will empathise with you.

Hi Jess. I have enjoyed your videos. At point 3:50 you were talking about the role women are taking in the UK’s Trucking industry. I never worked in that industry, I started work as an apprentice in what today is British Telecom in 1967. The only females in our industry then were the lady operators who answered the old 0, and later 100 calls. Many became married to engineers. The other ladies were Clerical Assistants for the managers. In the late 1900’s employment equality laws were changed, women could apply for any job. We started getting female apprentices who became technicians covering the whole business. These days you will see ladies climbing poles, erecting wires etc. Obviously they don’t wear dresses on pole work and wear the same safety wear as the rest of the male staff.

We all deserve to be treated with respect and consideration in our relationships with our fellow travellers in this life. Being treated badly is reprehensible and it is hoped that it can be reversed to become a lesson in appreciating kindness and care that is, thankfully in all fairness, the most frequently met behaviour in this life. Chin up!!.
