Jackson JS11 - Bargain Shred Machine?

So, I recently picked up this second hand Jackson JS11 guitar for a good price. Here's the review.
Yet even though I got it used, you can buy these new for around £139. Although a few corners have been cut in terms of hardware (i.e. the nut, bridge saddles, machine heads), I was really blown away by the high quality of what you get for the price.
In other words, you don't have to pay megabucks to get a good guitar these days. Plus, you can mod these guitars to your own specs and get something amazing for not much money.

Great review. I have 3 JS series Jacksons and I really like them. I got the red JS11 for $100 used and set up very well. The JS11 has a full size trem block and decent electronics and a pop in trem arm. I do not use the trem but thats cool, especially the big trem block.

The Jack plug position is often a bugbear of mine ..I just dont understand why a lot of manufacturers position them in that place ?

Thanks. I think some of it has to do with "trying not to copy the Fender Stratocaster, even though we are copying the Fender Stratocaster" mentality.

I do not like the input jack on the underside of the body either, unfortunately thats how most guitars are though.

Put a Jackson js11 in some hands and a original Gibson 59 sunburst will sound the same player hands matter more

The great thing about the neck is that it is based on the standard Jackson neck profile.
