Straub certainly looks like a tough old-timer.
My impression is that the Ukrainian soldiers are first class,
they just need heavy weapons, missiles, drones, and munitions.
    Oh, and vehicles.

Around the campfire sit a Cowboy, an Indian and a Vietnam veteran. suddenly something rustles in the bushes. The cowboy gets up and says "don't worry, I'm going to take a look". he goes into the bushes and a "thump" is heard. The Cowboy returned with a blackeye and sat by the fire without a word. Again something rustles in the bushes, an Indian gets up and says "Sit down my white brothers, I'm going to check". He went into the bushes and a "thump" is heard. The Indian returned with a blackeye and without a word sat down by the fire. Soon something rustles in the bushes again. A Vietnam veteran gets up and says "stay calm, I'm going to take a look". He goes in to the bushes and a "thump-thump" is heard. The Indian turns to the Cowboy and asks "Why did our white brother step on the rake twice?"

He can teach the Ukrainian how to dig a real tunnel lol. 14 months He probably saw enough VC tunnels. While this dude gets to fly home to relax between tours or fly home after 14 months. For the Ukrainian or My dad, there is no breaks between tours, after the war, it's life or death because depend on which side wins, the loser goto concentration camp or executed. But well done to him, not sure what value he can bring to the Ukrainians? It's totally different wars...

    • @scepticsquirrel
      @scepticsquirrel 2 года назад

Bringing values? No, it is not his task. He joined a cause, cause that belongs to Ukrainian nation. They are defending their nation-state and cultural existence just as Brits, French, Dutch and Czechs did in Western and Central Europe.

Not sure the title is accurate. No weapon? I hope someone verified his "in-country" Vietnam status. Remember Nathan Phillips. There are 5 times as many men claiming to have served in Vietnam than actually were in-country. His statement about arriving in Vietnam in 1968 sounds a little late to have been in the Tet Offensive which was in January 1968. Please post some actual proof this is a Vietnam Combat Veteran - other than the hat.
I did serve in-country and also have a Cap!

I’m pretty sure us deploy troops every month. I mean he didn’t say the month. He did mention 1968 so it possible he was in it.

For the South-Vietnamese Tet-Offensive is compared to Holocaust for Juden. Around 2 millions Vietnamese have died in the war and when you ask any Vietnamese at the age of 70 or older what haunted them the most. I am pretty sure they will say: Tet Mau Than '68 and Mua He Do Lua 1972. It is so sad to see the war in Ukraine.

I am Vietnamese. I find the comparison of the people's war in Vietnam to that of Ukraine nonsense.
    - Vietnam fought to unify the country against the tyranny of the US and its accomplices.
    - Vietnam fought on its own, without relying on the armies of friends from other countries to join the war.
Vietnam used forests, mountains and terrain to make war. Vietnam is not as vile as Ukr, Vietnam does not use people in the city as a shield.
    - Vietnam does not release fake videos to smear opponents.
They only have outdated guns against the B52 and the most modern weapons of the US and its vassals.
    - Vietnam does not steal oil from Russia, does not join rival military blocs, does not deny Russia's debts.
    - Vietnam did not instigate or incite the US to sabotage Russia's oil pipelines.
    - The land of Vietnam is the Vietnamese people who used their blood and bones to build the country, not the land of the Russian Tsar to expand.
    - Vietnam does not kill Russians, does not raise or sponsor neo-Nazis like Ukr.
    - Vietnam does not harm security, politics, economy, culture ... and the survival of any country.
    - The mercenary in the video is the invader of Vietnam. They represent the devil. They will be destroyed

Like Vietnam was destroyed? You people are still picking landmines out of you’re assholes after all these years. Be thankful politics in America forced us out because you’re Vietnam lost over a million soldiers. Vietnam still hasn’t recovered and never will.
      Enjoy lol

His comparison is total not relevant. He was very young and the situation is very different. There is one thing in common is that South-Viet Nam and Ukraine are dependent on support from America. Viet Nam war is much bigger (till now) American Army Force is direct involved.
