Most don't even realize that being rejected, treated whatever odd way, ignored, seen as ?!?!?! and or ghosted (and whatever other term is typical used now) is a plus! Matter fact being able to see through what most believe that they're hiding about themselves will eliminate having to experience such oddness. Instead most will want to know why, go out of their way to be nicer to them only to become insecure because they have no idea what good connections look or feel like.

I grew up in the lower mainland during the Olson Era. I was about 13 yrs. My brother went to school with Simon Partington. We were not allowed to go anywhere without a parent or adult for a long time, even after he was caught. Two things that really stand out, we went shopping with my mum and I had gotten ahead of her. I turn the corner and she had a full on panic attack because she couldn't see me anymore. Full on screaming and crying panic like I had never seen before. Then when they caught him, we were watching the news and dad went pale and said "Holy Fuck! That's Creepy Cliffy!" (first time I heard him say the F word!) Dad had gone to school with him. He said he was a weirdo from the start and it didn't really surprise him. I also worked with someone who would babysit for him sometimes. She said he was kinda creepy, but seemed ok enough. Scratch the surface of any Olson Era kid, you'll find a Creepy Cliffy story, either something about him or the state of fear he had us in. It was a joyous day when that bastard finally died. I hope whatever cancer was eating him was rabid, drawn out, and painful.

I’m just saying that’s one where he did investigate. Otherwise I agree with you.
Sometimes he’ll talk about someone who had a gun that wasn’t ‘registered’. Someone can illegally have a firearm, but no one should be registering one. I don’t know who does that. It’s against the Constitution to require someone to register their firearm.

I won't do it now and discourage anyone from doing that. We were lucky nothing wrong ever happened to any of us. This serial killer approached my cousin and I at Lougheed Mall when we were in Elementary School offering us a job washing windows in the apartments beside the mall for $10/hr which was like $50 now as wages were about $2/hr at the time. We told our parents more to boast about being offered a job and they called the Police and we were interviewed. I was about 8 at the time and I'm 53 now, this is a chill I will never stop feeling whenever I think of how lucky we were/are! Even though I moved an hour away from my childhood home, I now reside about 3 blocks from where one of his female victims was discarded. May all of his victims rest in peace and may their families find comfort all these years later

This mothers normally treat them as their Prince, the man they never had, lonely woman without a husband or absent husband at home so they use the child emotionally as an adult, as if they know how they feel because they're empty. This type of abandonment where the child is form to do whatever he wants is that creates (with abuse) many crimes, not all.

Clifford Olsen. I was living in BC when these crimes were being connected. He boasted that he had child victims from BC to NL and he did. And throughout the United States. And I believe that.
This is the most thoroughly researched information ever on that beast. I applaud you.
Our sources for news at the time were the Vancouver Sun and various local TV stations. Their pieces were horrifying but never close to revealing so much of his sordid criminal history.
I always felt that if the police had followed leads they would have found out more on their own.
How he was given such slack sentences and so much opportunity to feed his hunger again and again is beyond comprehension.
I also fault the justice system here.
The topper was giving that monster 100 grand for his little wifey and bastard monster makes me angry to this day.
It's not just the environment that makes a sicko. You can't only blame his uncle. It was genetic. His criminal brain took advantage of every person and situation he crossed paths with. He was a slick psycho whose sick desires made him have to be an expert at conning people and catching innocent children on his line.
I wonder what his offspring are doing now and if they have a criminal history too. Or if he has grandchildren that show psychopathy. His flawed genes are still out there. Beware the cunning with their flowery talk.
So many victims. Many whose stories will never be told. And families, friends an communities that will never forget.

I remember growing up in Canada during his murderous rampages and my parents (even though they had their issues) were extremely over protective since we lived in Ontario. Ironically, my father applied to be a CO at Collins Bay Pen in Kingston Ontario (where Olson was jailed) and almost made it through the process until they did a psych eval on him and asked him "if you guarded Olson, what would you do or not do if you could"....unfortunately for my father and the citizens of Canada he answered it honestly...his answer was "I'd take him into the middle of an opening in the woods, nail him by his penis and balls to a tree stump, and shoot him just above the pubic bone and watch the coyotes and bears eat him alive"! Naturally he didn't get the job and went back to John Deere as a welder (his lifelong profession, besides serving in the Signal Corps of the Canadian Armed Forces).

This ordeal was sickening and disturbing at the time and is even more so recounting the story. Great storytelling, as always, but this guy was beyond disturbing and it went on and on with the police rewarding him with each new body he came up with. Olson said he had to look after his son, yeah know!!! On the news it was reported Olson was paid the reward for 8 bodies, they decided not to pay him the reward for the last 2 children. It is truly revolting and my stomach churns with each turn this story takes, we all had children out there who did not think this was a real thing, who steals children?

I'd like to say you do a great job editing your videos. It's pretty cool to see pictures of places from the actual time periods of the events you talk about.
Also, I just want to mention that it's pretty sickening to realize how incompetent the justice system can be sometimes. It truly is disgusting to know that the ones who are paid and expected to protect you are practically doing nothing when so many children are going missing, and even after some of them are found to have been raped and murdered. And a 25 year sentence WITH the possibility of parole is sickening. I know we're not the only country to have these fucked up sentencing laws, and there are some with even more lenient laws, but I truly believe that some people should be locked up for good. Nothing will change them and no amount of good behavior should allow us to take that chance.

      And
#2. a) that if Olsen did know of his proximity to your friend, then his children would of been preyed upon by Olsen. Or b) if your if your friend would have known that Olsen lived nearby, he would of gone after Olsen, himself by targeting his(Olsen’s) kids… preemptively?? Lol
