    These are very cool, I like how you can custom make whatever you want instead of buying what the store happens to stock, and these are very professional looking, I like how you took the time to get them perfectly centered, a detail that eludes some.

    Thin your paint a bit with water. You might need a second coat, but the finish will be much nicer.

    Very cool! What kind of paint did you use? Can spray be used? Instead of cork, I would use mdf.
    P.S. Is it possible for you to share the file you used to make the Plastic Template? Thanks

      Ya, for the price, they're nice machines.
      If you're looking mainly for cutting, get the 5w, for engraving the 2.5 is better.
      Also, you'll what to add an air assist as it will give you deeper, cleaner cuts.

    How durable are these coasters? Do they smudge when they get wet.

    On the un painted coasters, how deep is the engraved part of the coasters? Is it noticeably burnt down in slightly or is it completely flush with the non-engraved part and smooth?

    • @MakeTechCreate
      @MakeTechCreate  Год назад +1

      It's not deep but you can feel the engraving. Cork seems to be hard to get a deep engraving into.

    Do you have a video of burning multiple coasters at a time with the same logo?

      Sorry, no, but that's easy enough to setup in a program like Lightburn. I'd cut a plywood jig to hold them all in the same place every time.

    • @MakeTechCreate

      About 15-30 minutes with a 2.5W Diode laser. A good CO2 laser would greatly decrease the time, though. Thanks for watching.
