Since when do hikers wear sandals? Bears, I remember tying food high in a tree one night. Canada is beautiful and thank goodness people are enjoying it and not trashing the place. Good water and a good trip so far. Enjoy
Every time I go across the bridge, I’ve seen your dock. Despite sailing a lot in the area, I never realized that Georgina was a park island. I always thought that there was a private cottage there, occupied by some really lucky people.
Those Zebra mussels are why the water is so clear. Ridiculously invasive and have found their way all thru the Great Lakes, Finger Lakes, Erie Canal, etc. But the Thousand Islands, Clayton, Canadia (yes, I said Canadia), etc. are all great places to explore. And Bob's your uncle.
I have a good friend who has several dogs but his one oldest dog named boo has his favorite Rock we call it the potato rock. You throw it in the river which is relatively shallow depending on weather and sure enough he brings it back every time. I can't even begin to explain it but we laugh hysterically. Apparently your dog has found his new best friend The Rock LOL
I watched your videos as you arrived in Canada and decided to go back to your great loop beginning and have enjoyed them alot. I am up to date now so decieded to gove you a comment. I hope your time in Canada goes well for you.
OMG my husband is SSSOO happy there's another video. Could you please talk about the current a bit. It's crazy fast and I can't see how it's forming. And please, more of Ollie. What a sweetie.
The current comes from the elevation difference in the river of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, and the ocean. It was going at least 3 knots, some of the fastest we've seen on the entire loop! It goes quite a bit faster when the channel narrows because all the water has to be pushed through, like when you squeeze a hose. Absolutely will have more Ollie 😁 She's the start haha
Georgina Island looked amazing! I bet it was great to get out and hike! Ollie and those rocks…how does she get them in her mouth!!! The water was so clear…loved seeing Ollie’s legs swimming…looked like you two had a blast! Happy and safe cruising!
My favorite place on earth to boat! The thousand islands are in my eye magical and every season we go for a week in august and just boat boat boat! I wish you guys where there in august! Water is warm no bugs. Best month ever in Ontario( maybe next time ) second favorite Georgian Bay! I’m so happy you had a good time in Canada ( so far) and please please come and visit us again! Your always welcome. Please say hi to Ollie for me ❤ can’t wait to see your trip through the Trent! Especially the lift locks and the big chute! Love you guys enjoy ❤
I love watching your channel. I had been watching for about 6 month or 9 month now . I saw all of you videos on my old channel now catching up. Ty for sharing and I'm looking for seeing the rest of your journey. Be safe and have fun:)
Love watching you enjoy the thousand islands! Can’t beat that clear, cold water😅 I live in the area so it’s refreshing to watch your experience and first impressions! 💙
Wouldn't you like to know what Ollie was thinking as she went and took those large rocks out of the water. Especially since she went into the water on her own then balked when the water got deeper. Great video. I know you're almost into the Gulf but want to wish you a Merry Christmas and safe travels for the New Year. This goes for Ollie also. Semper Fi!
Great video, we live and boat on the trent system. Cant wait to watch your videos of coming thru our area and experiencing all the trent waterway has to offer. Take care guys!
Enjoyed the video of my favorite cruising area. As someone else below commented, the reason the vegetation is different on the west end of Georgina is because the parks dept did a controlled burn on that end, 5-10 years ago. Purpose was to simulate natural forest fires and allow more natural & traditional plant growth.
We have been watching since you set out in Key West (the loop is on our bucket list) and for some reason thought your videos were more 'real' time and were going to reach out to you when you got to the 1000 islands ... we obviously missed you and are disappointed our timing was off! This is our boating area and Georgina is one of the closest islands to our marina - the dock you are at gets VERY busy during the summer and floating with the current is very popular. Your timing was very good. Checking our log for July 15th, we were close .. anchored a few miles west near another park island (Mulcaster). We look forward to your adventure thru Georgian Bay and the North Channel as we are heading there this coming summer for 4 months. Just FYI, the reason the west corner of Georgina looks different is due to a fire many years ago. Enjoy following you on your adventures, your story telling (and down-to-earth way) make it very relatable.
Oh wow, we were very close! We heard that from a few people, we are super happy that it happened to work out at this dock - it really made our first stay in Canada magical. Thanks for watching and maybe our paths will cross in the future 😁

How I wish for warmer weather right about now. Now it’s January 22nd 2024. I was in Thousand Island last summer.
This reminds me of Devil's Fork State Park in South Carolina. Absolutely gorgeous.
Canada is pretty cool with all of the islands and clear water. Canada is a beautiful country.
For sure!
I think the best part of this vide is just how much fun you two were having.
Thanks! It really was a blast!
That’s what boating is all about there ❤
Thanks!
Love your channel and I've been waiting on this to drop. Enjoy the years of your lives! 🐟🐟🐟
Thanks so much!
Great video and it underlines why we must do more to protect our natural treasures such as as 1000 Islands. Can’t wait to see the Trent Severn.
1,000% agree, thanks Erich!

haha now we can all be lucky people staying at the Parks Canada dock!

Its interesting to see the affects of the mussels and how they have impacted each of the great lakes and regions a bit differently!

Haha that’s great… she is definitely loves the rocks!
You made me homesick. I have spent over 10 years in the 1000 Islands. I have spent many days and nights on Georgina, beautiful place.
Oh super cool, it really is a fantastic spot.
Absolutely amazing work folks, these shots are spectacular. What a stunning cinematography folks! Love this!
Thanks so much!

I don't think that I've ever seen a dog play fetch with big rocks before. That's a new one.
She loves it!

Thanks so much Tom. It'd be funny for a look into Ollie's thought process 😂 Cheers, and happy holidays to you and your family!
Yeah, the current in the Canadian Channel near the Canadian span is crazy.

Really enjoy watching your videos… I’m still cruising around the 1000 Islands. My boat (Bayliner 3270 - Helios) gets pulled out next week 😊
Wow, are you the last boat out there?? Its getting cold boating in Mississippi haha 😁 Kudos!
Love the vids btw.

Cool! Thanks Greg! Will have to explore diving next time :)
Did Elliot really say “rich elites”?😮
Perhaps I could've used better terminology but you get the gist!
Yes, the “gist”was inferred.
It’s sad Elliott feels this way.
Sorry, Adam, I don't understand what you are implying 🤷♂️
Did you finish the loop?
Not yet!
@@SchoandJo Your the first loopers I have watched. I have seen almost all of your videos. You guys ROCK.
Is it me or do you kids keep forgetting to put meat in your dinners?
I can guarantee you that we did not forget 😁
