@LIFTSMITH Well, the word “thermostatic “ is a big clue. By definition, that means it’s temperature controlled, not timer. But exactly where the thermostat is located would be a pretty relevant selling point. If it shuts down because the exhaust has reached its maximum, that would still legally fit the definition of thermostatically controlled, but wouldn’t really be much help in controlling the temperature of a room. Usually, the Ebersbacher and Webasto units that these are all copies of, tend to have thermostats built in and what they do is measure the air temperature at the input. They have an option to install an external thermostat, for situations where you’re drawing air from outside, rather than in the room. I don’t know whether the cheap Chinese ones incorporate that option, or not.
I don’t think you can air conditioner with diesel but my evaporator cooler works great in a desert environment with water or a generator with an air conditioner unit
I used the old model and did a combustion analysis on it using an analyzer I borrowed from work. Combustion efficiency was around 73%, CO was 302ppm (higher that state allowable for an appliance) with NOx emissions that pegged out an industrial analyzer. It worked great however I stopped using it just because I felt like a POS making that much pollution. Cheaper to just buy an expensive quart of oil and dump it on a duckling directly. 😂
The duct hose that you list..did you look at the inside to make sure that the foil is not perforated? I purchased this hose early this year.. the foil has hundreds of tiny perforations. very fine/small particles of fiberglass insulation blow thru the hose into the air.. I would not breath air that passes thru this duct. Maybe yours is different.. but the MFG told me they were all like this and are supposed to be used for exhaust..FYI

Non condensing, we will be generous and say 85%. 17290 x .85 is 14,700 BTUs an hour or 4.31 kw an hour. Half the rated output.
Yeah, they are 5kw at most. All of them. But still awesome. I use one for winter tenting and it's revolutionary.
@@fullhalf420 It's about local energy costs plus equipment cost, life and maintenance costs. Works for some, not for others. Doesn't make sense where I am compared to aircon and parity to other forms. But I can't take my air con camping!
@fullhalf420 you can take your home gas furnace camping, ice fishing, out into the shed during winter? Damn... .
Ready to run is cool. Seeing quite a few more of these. The one I built is weather "Resistant/Proof" it will be fine in anything short of wind driven heavy rain. Would be nice to see some factory options for weather sealed cases. Have I missed any?
Looks like you could buy a ice chest/cooler and drill an exhaust port with intake ports or a dog kennel to shelter it
Made so you stand right up against the "lightening hot exhaust" to use the control panel... 😐
Brilliant.
Baby steps
I want to have mine setting outside, but want to be controlled by a thermostat inside. is this already controlled by the fob remote when inside my trailer.
Looks like you would use the fob to control the heat Manually. Set on low and turn it up if needed is my plan
What ducting/dryer hose do you recommend with this heater to port the heat into your tent? I just bought, but the hose is not long enough. Thanks!!!
I use a 4 inch insulated hose I se the one that co es with it which is way to short to connect to heater and connect the two
These things are just like those fancy Battery Box's. Same internals, Fancy case.
Lot of Mods out there to recover BTU's from the Exhaust. More heat or heating Water or both.
Wow, totally wrong on many levels !
Do you know if the control screen can be rotated 180° ?
Does it make start/stop when it reaches a programmed temp. ?
Can this unit be controlled via app? If so, how good is the app?
Sweet.
Nice review of what looks like a great product.
Can't watch any more, cuz there is no "z" in dieSel.

Hi its Rob from the Uk. Great video , can you open it up see the working parts and carry out service ? kind regards
Does this have a fuel filter between the fuel tank and pump??
Putting the exhaust next to the air inlet on original is insane
Now you can stand next to the exhaust as you work the display 😧
That inlet was for the combustion not for the fan intake
So is it only 4lts for a US gallon?
Are there any issues with fumes??? our old furnace quit working years ago and it’s down in our storm cellar/basement. All the ductwork is still there. I’m wondering if I bought something like this could I safely blow the heat. This unit produces through a couple of the old furnace’s ducts??? I could plug off the other ducts and then just run heat from this unit here through two or three ducks or one whatever it could handle.
I have not noticed any, I do keep a monitor in my tent to make sure I do not die
Does this have any phone connectivity for controls?
Were u able to run it off 12V outlet of the power supply or did you have to use the converter? If so what model power bank is that?
I used the 12v but you can use both

so these are just on or off? no thermostat? Ive been interested in one for a plant greenhouse but would like it to have some thermostatic control.
Can't find one for sale ,any ideas where to get one
The Amazon link took me right to it
Where is the combustion air inlet? I want to set this heater inside my garage yet draw the combustion air from outside. Is it on the boittom after all? Thanks for the video.
You mentioned that it can be run on 120v does it come with that cord and if not what type of plug does it use the one in your link doesn’t show the adapter
It come with the 120ac cord
Hello, does this unit have the ability to set a room temp with a thermostat, built-in or external?
Thanks
Built in
Can they use farm diesel?
Yes; farm diesel is the same stuff, just isn’t taxed for on-highway use.
Do you know what the max altitude this unit is rated for?
i’m guessing 8800ft or whatever the non altitude heaters run at be they don’t mention it anywhere o. their amazon ad
Hello. On the Amazon page that you left a link to states on one of the thumbnails, that it has a brand new Appearance. Are these refirbushed ???---Michigan
Is this heater water proof in the rain and outdoor weather because I see the switch controls are on top.

Awesome video.... I want one. Amazon shows this unavailable. Does anyone know if the Xportion on Amazon is the same unit just rebranded. Again great video
Mine is coming 😊
Does it have any thermostat settings… as in, can you set it to stay around a certain temp & it will cycle on or off like a normal furnace or heat pump?
Missing a lot of info for a review. This seems like a runtime test only.
I was going to ask the same question. Amazing listing states “Thermostatic Control’ but does not expand on that: if it’s like a temperature based on off control or only a timer on ÷ off control. And is the thermostat on the unit where the unit would have to be inside your camper/tent or does it have a wired or wireless remote thermostat sensor ? By the way, I always enjoy the videos. Great channel.

Better than hcalory toolbox 2?
Depends, they are a little different but I am liking the toolbox 2 as my go to these days
Does it come with the 12v adaptor?
Yes but not the cigarette lighter attachment
110 to 12v comes with it…he added a cigarette lighter adapter link on Amazon
No clicking. Wonder which pump they put in there ?
Is there a video on this one that has the cover off ?
Amazon doesn't sell them now. Can't find any online.
Is this new white model quieter than the original red model? Thanks! Can an EcoFlow 12v power this station?
@@allgonewrong16 yes and yes
I used the old model and did a combustion analysis on it using an analyzer I borrowed from work. Combustion efficiency was around 73%, CO was 302ppm (higher that state allowable for an appliance) with NOx emissions that pegged out an industrial analyzer. It worked great however I stopped using it just because I felt like a POS making that much pollution. Cheaper to just buy an expensive quart of oil and dump it on a duckling directly. 😂
Do you have to adjust it for alltitude?
You can tune it for high altitude

The duct hose that you list..did you look at the inside to make sure that the foil is not perforated? I purchased this hose early this year.. the foil has hundreds of tiny perforations. very fine/small particles of fiberglass insulation blow thru the hose into the air.. I would not breath air that passes thru this duct. Maybe yours is different.. but the MFG told me they were all like this and are supposed to be used for exhaust..FYI
He provided an aftermarket dryer vent duct for around $20 I already received it but waiting for the heater
