Patience is one of my favorites from the classic GnR era, and although SLash is a bad ass and even still rocks this song with electric guitar, its still best done acoustically, just my opinion only. Oh and omg what if they tried an unplugged gig of about 3-4 songs!

No i had to get home so couldn't wait around but i went to a Steel Panther gig on Tuesday and i met them and the whole band signed my Ibanez. The gig was awesome and like em or not you cant deny their talent and Satchel is an AMAZING guitarist!!

You are sort of right. Leo Fender released the first production solid body electric guitar, which was the Fender Telecaster. Les Paul invented the solid body guitar in the 1940s. He took the guitar to Gibson to see if they were interested, but Gibson passed, saying there was no market for it.
