I like the mix of color pages and black and white. And I like the snippets of stories you mentioned on a few of the pages...and I feel as if some of the other pages have stories too. Thank you for sharing your art.
Hiya. Thanks for that vote of confidence. It is fun to let someone else tell me the stories sometimes, especially if you are working with kids. If you ask them what is happening on a page or layout, they often come up with some doozies, and they are always right!
I have watched most if not all of these pages being made! All are gorgeous and I love how it ends with the delicate black and white and then the explosion of peacock color! Well done.
I love all the mixture of black and white with spots of color. So Beautiful
A stunning book! 💙💚💙 Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Thank you, dear Barry.
It’s a beautiful, beautiful book. I particularly love the black and white pages, they look so melancholic (in a good way) and so romantic and I also loved the pages with the two angels. The one in black and white is superb 💙💚🧡🖤💜♥️💛💗❤️
I love the peacocks and the feathers.
Thank you, Karen. Don't know how long they will last in the long run but I am having fun with them now. 🦚🦚
I think this is one of my most favorite altered book ive seen. Its absolutely wonderful!❤❤
Thank you, Jamie. That is truly nice to hear and it makes my heart happy. 🌷🌼🌻Kelly
What a beautiful book, each page is a wee treasure. Thanks for sharing❤ watching your channel has inspired me to begin making my own alterted books. A huge thank you❤
Hi Kath. What a great message! I am so pleased you are trying altered books. It is my favourite of all creative styles. You might as well know that it is also a messy one and the only great way to learn is to jump in and make mistakes and learn from them. Keep me posted on how it goes. Kelly
Beautiful! And the butterfly pocket is perfect! 🥰🇨🇦
It turned out so perfectly, Kelly! I just loved every page turn.
Thanks bunches, Catherine. I am very happy at how it emerged.
So looking forward to the pep talk!
Love the finished bank book
Thank you, Susan. And I am rehearsing the pep talk and trying not to look at myself in the camera/mirror too much as I do. I get crazy stage fright! (Hmmm, there must be a pep talk for that.)
It’s absolutely beautiful!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Angela. This book makes me very happy. Kelly
Kelly, what a lovely, and amazing book this one is! I really enjoy how you create your pages back and forth from color to B/W! Just loving the two little girls with the pup crunched up in between them both, as well as that page with the big, bold thistle, it stands out beautifully. Last but not least, I thank you for tutes on every one of the creations of these pages. I'm always in awe, just watching how you work and listen to you chat. There is just always something fun to learn from every one of your tutorials. Thank you.
Gorgeous! Genius at composition!
Thank you, Alison. That is truly nice to hear and makes me happy. Kelly
Bird in Italian is Uccello. ( pronounced uchello)
This is such a lovely book. Love the colours..❤🐦
Thank you for this! What a pretty word. Not like the French or English at all. I'm so glad you touched base with the info, Mme Fifi. 🐥🐥
I really enjoy your videos thanks Marg.
Thank you so, Marg. This truly makes me happy to hear. I hope you have a creative week! Kelly
Lovely work I enjoyed looking at it
Thanks bunches, Linddy.
Beautiful work on your book.
Thank you, Lynn. It makes me happy just to look at it quietly.
Lovely book, Kelly. ❤
Thanks bunches, Trish. This is truly lovely to hear and I appreciate it.
I like that you included a few pockets. Using so much black and white it was hard for me to let the backgrounds not fight for center stage on a few pages. I felt that made them a little too busy for me. I know that's a toss up when your trying to alter a book and also preserve or feature its pages. I've never done that just used printed word pages.
Hi Theresa. Yes, it is hard to say how far is too far, especially with the dramatic stamping. I knew that I wanted to go all in but I do wish I had more books like this so I could a simpler style as well. Thanks for sharing ideas and I hope you have a creative week! 🌷🌼🌻Kelly
Hi! I adore what you have made with this vintage book. I love it! Thanks! I am so inspired!
Thank you, Melissa. It is such mysterious alchemy of paper, ink, and stuff and the result is always a joy.
Great book, Kelly! I love how you relate all your pages throughout the book to each other. Awesome work!
Thank you, Katie. It can be tricky but like most creative ideas it gets easier the more you do it.
Love it so much - will definitley check out the other videos
Beautiful!
Thank you, dear Sonya. 🌷🌼🌻
What a wonderful, altered book so well done. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you, Juanette. This little book does make me happy.
Simply beautiful. How can one find this vintage ephemera? I’ve looked in thrift and antique shops in S.C but don’t find much in the way of paper.
Hi Donna. Thanks for touching base. As a rule I sell vintage paper ephemera in hand-curated boxes but I am a hiatus until May. HOWEVER, I also made a video some time back about tips for finding old stuff if you live in a new country. You may not find quite the same but it will definitely hedge your bets and get you off and running. Let me know if I can clear anything up! Kelly

Can you share what kind of printer you use? I’d love to be able to print on tissue paper like you do.
Taping the tissue to a regular sheet works for me on both my inkjet and my laser printers.
Hi Trish. I sometimes do as you but I have also been trying ironing the tissue paper to freezer paper and feeding that through the printer. Thanks for sharing ideas! Kelly@@TrishDarbonne
As Trish says, you must help the tissue paper along if you are going to print on it, either by using masking tape to add it to normal copy paper or ironing it onto freezer paper and feeding that into the printer. My printer is an HP Envy 7100 series scanner and printer combined and I use it all the time and really like the quality for the price. Let me know if this makes sense! Kelly
@@BookandPaperArts Ooooh, I’ve heard about using freezer paper and have forgotten to try that. I have a big roll of that. Thanks for the reminder, I’ll be trying it today!
@@BookandPaperArts very interesting idea, thank you.
