- As of the end of 2021, I have ridden 1157 different roller coasters in 37 different states and 18 different countries. 163 of those coasters are made of wood and 994 are made of steel. In this two part video, I will rank the top 100 different roller coasters I have ridden across the globe.
This video is part 1, which will cover spots 51-100. Part 2 will cover spots 1-50.

All of these are definitely great rides and who wouldn't fully trust someone who has over 1000 credits? You are insane man. I can only imagine how hard and time consuming it was to rank these.
I have a continuously updating Excel spreadsheet so pulling the list was easy.
Thank you so much all of the work and videos you produce. I appreciate it and look forward to the second half of the list!
You're welcome!
been looking forward to this 🙌🏻
You're welcome!
This list was super fun to watch, so excited for part 2! I wasn’t super impressed with space mountain, but that maybe because I rode big thunder mountain beforehand and was shocked by some of the airtime, and was expecting even more from space mountain. Massively appreciate the recognition of hagrids though, it definitely isn’t just a “family coaster” but rather a complete experience.
I definitely can appreciate a well-themed coaster as much as a big thriller.
I also prefer BTMR to Space Mountain because that theming is just on another level... But I also agree with Canobie that Orlando's Space Mountain is underrated. If you can stand some of that old-time Arrow jank, it's actually pretty cool.
(It does feel weird to call WDW Space Mountain underrated given that when I was a kid, it was arguably the most famous roller coaster in the world to my circles, at least until the Loch Ness Monster opened at Busch Gardens.)
What I love about your top lists in particular is that you know for sure there's gonna be international coasters on it. 💯
Yup!
Excited to see your top 50!
Tomorrow!
Great video as always. Great job!
Thanks!
you have some very unique opinions bro! love it and keep up the great work.
Thanks!
Nice list, excited for the top 50!
Thanks!
Very nice list and grest video! It warms my heart to see Rutschebanen all the way up here. I did not expect it, but its a welcome suprise!
I love that ride.
Nice to see some of the coasters I've ridden on this list.
Glad you liked it.
Great video , glad to see my home park on here in with nemesis . I absolutely love the 3 elements u mentioned of the corkscrew helix zero g roll its really go if ur in the front left seat u get a really good leg chopper with the station.
True!
Thanks awesome video
You're welcome!
Glad to see some crowd pleasers like Hollywood RRR, Hagrid, Space Mountain (I agree that when it comes to layout the MK version is easily superior) and Rutschebanen getting some attention. I'd be curious to hear your rankings on other popular coasters like Cyclone, Giant Dipper (Santa Cruz version), Verbolten and Expedition Everest.
Cyclone will show up tomorrow. I also have a review for that one and Verbolten. Everest is fun, but in my mid 200s. Santa Cruz's Giant Dipper is one I really need to reride. I only got a few rides on it back in 2014 but I remember it being very good.
I haven’t been to Disneyland, but I’d be shocked if its Space Mountain was worse than the one at Magic Kingdom as I don’t love that one.
@@ThemeParkAvenue well obviously personal preference is at play. That said, I wouldn't use the words "worse than" because I like both. In fact, in many ways the Disneyland version is superior. It has a better queue line, a much better loading station, better on ride theming and special effects and it is very smooth.
That said, I don't find the MK version to be as rough as some people feel it is. And when it comes to the layout I definitely prefer the MK version. You have airtime and it's solid, especially in the back. It's one of very few Disney coasters with airtime. There is a bit of airtime on the final bunny hills on Incredicoaster. And back seat of Big Thunder Mountain has tiny pops in the back seat a few times but the airtime on Space Mountain at MK in the back is much better. Don't get me wrong. It's not on the level of more focused thrill coasters like a B&M hypercoaster or certainly not the ejector machines from RMC or Intamin (which oddly enough built the Incredicoaster.) But the actual ride experience of Space Mountain at MK is quite good in my opinion.
I'm really impressed how you actually travel around the world to try out every coaster you can. When you talk about "the best coaster in the world for positive G's," you can actually say that because you have ridden so many.
I try to talk from experiences since I think it's the most genuine.
I am SOOOO Happy to see Storm Runner on here!
It's so good!
Glad to see nemesis on this list! It's going to be even better after the retrack!
I hope so!
At the risk of sounding silly, it really does my heart good to see that one of the only coasters in my state (Alabama) made this list haha. I haven't ridden Rampage or Rollin' Thunder yet, but I love when they get a shout out!
Rampage is great.
Been on 26 of these. I'm not a fan of Hollywood RRR at all, and I also find Hagrid's and the 2 Space Mountain's a bit overrated. 16 of the remaining 22 are in my Top 50, so I'm really enjoying your list overall. I'm surprised that you said Mystic is your favorite GCI, not so much that it is your favorite, but it means GoldStriker isn't in your top 100. It is almost a Top 30 ride for me. Really looking forward to the second half of the list! Your insight on coasters is really great!
Gold Striker was pretty bumpy in my 2018 rides, but I love that layout, pacing, and airtime. It was in the first 10 that missed this list.
I drove out to sfgadv multiple times for hitp just for jersey devils first drop. It's seriously powerful and a highlight of the park for sure
It ran shockingly well at HITP.
When part 2 coming and god damn over a thousand creds you have to be the most qualified
Tomorrow
@@CanobieCoaster let’s goooooooooo
Drink every time he says he goes into more detail in a seperate view. :D Jokes aside. Good list. Looking forward to the second half!
I realized that was probably overboard and got rid of that for the top 50.
Can't wait to see Tiger Terror in the #1 spot 🔥🔥🔥
Number one...kiddie coaster.
Wow, this list is truly amazing! You have a lot of controversial opinions and I love it, I was surprised to see Hagrid so high! I also have it high on my list but I was surprised to see how high you put it compared to other rides I have ridden
Hagrid's is just so different and fun.
@@CanobieCoaster hagrids is like firechaser express on bathsalts
I noticed Diamondback running much better in 2021 than in past years also. It shot up into my top 100. There are several in this list that are in my 51-100, and not surprisingly, plenty in my top 50, since I have less than half the credits that you have. My highest ranked one in your list is Wicked Cyclone, in my top 10. My lowest ranked here would probably be MKs Space Mountain. But that's because it was my first roller coaster at age 12, and I hated most rides back then. I'm sure I would like it now.
I'm definitely lucky to have Wicked Cyclone at my home Six Flags park, but I think I'm in the minority of enthusiasts that prefer Superman at this point.
I also prefer Superman to Wicked Cyclone. They're both in my top 10.
Great America 👌 been on that coaster 😂
Nice!
I knew I wasn't the only one who really liked Magic Kingdom's Space Mountain! While I prefer Expedition Everest, Space Mountain is still quite fun enjoyable and possibly gave the most pleasant surprise of any coaster I've ridden.
I prefer Space Mountain. The WDW one has some sneaky airtime.
@@CanobieCoaster I’d say 4/8 coasters there have at least some decent airtime and/or positives
I'm happy to see Roar-O-Saurus get its due. Enthusiasts know Oscar's Wacky Taxi and Wooden Warrior, but Roar-O-Saurus seems just enough out of the way that many haven't tried it.
I agree Roar-O-Saurus has a hard location for enthusiasts not from New England.
Glad to see Nemesis made the cut 🔥
Indeed.
Do you think Storm Runner and Maxx Force have an equal amount of ride time to consider them full layouts?
I prefer Storm Runner's layout.
Wow you obviously had a ton of credits with all the small park (and ride) reviews across NA and Europe, but I wasn't expecting 1154 😳
I've done a lot of traveling since graduating.
It's why I follow Canobie! 50% of the time he's talking about coasters and waterslides in foreign lands I may never visit. Might have the most credits of any coaster youtuber outside of TPR. Awesome!
@@HoliestDoughnut who's TPR?
@@sdc5914 theme park review
@@HoliestDoughnut pretty sure there’s way more RUclipsrs with more or just as much credits than TPR, like Theme Park Worldwide for example
How do you keep track of your credits and ranking?
An Excel spreadsheet.
Now I want to see all your kiddie credits ranked
Maybe I'll do that one down the road.
@@CanobieCoaster dont stop at 100 either. Youve probably ridden 100 wacky worms. Every single kiddie credit ranked.
11:22 AAA HEEEELL NAAAAW, look at that thing moving after the train passes D:
Lol
Take a shot every time Canobie says “I go into more detail in a separate review” 😵💫
I realized I went overboard in this one and trimmed that part out in the top 50.
@@CanobieCoaster it wasn’t even a bad thing, just a bit funny when you notice. Awesome list tho!
You impressively have ridden and reviewed so many!! 😃👏🏼👍🏼
I’m surprised Wodan Timbur coaster wasn’t in your top 100!
I think I forgot it after thinking.
8:10 “Chinese Horntail”
He a little confused, but he got the spirit
Whoops, my bad.
Since you’re doing 100 coasters are you gonna do like 50 or more likely 25 waterslides like you did water coasters last year
I'm leaning towards a top 25 water slide list where I'll pool all types of slides. I plan to group some similar body slides though so I can talk about some different rides.
@@CanobieCoaster that’s what I did in my list but I did 25 slides but it’s dominated by water coasters and speed slides. There’s an occasional body bowl slide or proslide wall ride there throughout the list
Just a bit sad to see NTG all the way down at 82, but I may rank it similarly by the time I amass 1000 credits. Too many great coasters out there, and that's not a bad problem to have.
That said, I do hope I don't have to wait a decade for SFOT to get something more exciting than a Free Spin or Power Splash that could be the park's new number 1.
I hope Fiesta Texas working with B&M is a good sign for the chain's larger parks moving forward.
Very good list but I have rode tons of rides around Eastern coast and the only thing I have to say is diamondback at 100 is meh you get loads of air time and it’s all ur opinion but I believe it should be a lot higher
Diamondback is good, but I don't think it's in the upper tier of B&M hypers like the higher ones.
I see some rides i personally have around my top 10 in your 90s then remember I have around 1/10th the credits so it mathematically makes sense.
100 credits is still a lot
Anything on this list is in my top 10%.
Over one THOUSAND one hundred ridden !! 😲 If you made a list of major operating coasters NEVER ridden how short would that list be? Perhaps you can do a top 25 on defunct coaster you've never ridden but dreamed about ridding.
I do plan to make a defunct coasters ranking video, but I need some time to track down/get permission for footage.
@@CanobieCoaster that would be nice to watch
Based on your tastes Im guessing I305 is not in your top 50. Am i right?
It's in the top 50, just not as high as most put it.
Steel Dragon 2000 needs to be cloned!
That would be quite the clone.
I didn’t see Skyrush so far, so quick question
Is it in your top 50?
Edit: ofcourse it may not even make top 100 as you’ve rode so many coasters
Skyrush is in the top 50 easily.
@@CanobieCoaster Okay, yeah I hoped so because that’s my number one coaster lol
For some reason I wasn't surprised to see wild train on this list.
It's an amazing ride.
Not in order these are my fav rides: Fury 325, Tatsu, steel vengeance, Shambhala, helix and millenium force
All great rides.
Space mountain is more intense than what I was anticipating..
It's great.
Hope to see renegade
It's on there!
I'm just curious as to which coasters would have made this list if 'defunct' coasters were not allowed.
The next ones that missed were rides like Blue Fire, Wodan, Gold Striker, Nitro, Ride of Steel, and Goliath (Walibi) in no particular order.
Enhanced by a trim, what does that mean?
Made better by a trim brake.
I’m already really shocked at #100. I understand that you love Diamondback, but I think it is the second best hyper coaster out of all the ones I’ve ridden.
Yeah me too. It looks like one of the best hypers to me.
Diamondback doesn't have the same sense of speed as the B&M hypers I have higher on my list.
I hate Diamondback lol. Its my #86 and I have like 800 less credits then him
@@certifiednucci6315 Whats wrong with it? I haven't ridden it.
@@chargedonpc9989 its shaky and has no airtime. Id rather ride Adventure Express
Your appreciation for Nemesis is appreciated 😅
I love that ride.
@@CanobieCoaster I'm lucky enough to have it at my home park! Such a unique layout!
This video was...
Kinda like a rollercoaster.
Sorry about that but seriously i literally said "what?!??" Out loud for some of these picks! I can't wait to see part 2
Like I said, I go by fun so I'll have some interesting picks.
22:01 it looks like someone forgot to hit smooth all on that element
It does look odd. But it's smooth onride.
I saved all your butts do I get free tickets to all amusement parks? Hahahaha 🤣
?
Did you ride f.l.y?
Yes, it is in the top 50.
I’ve never ever EVER seen anyone perfer Hungarian Horntail over Chinese Fireball prior to today and here we are.
It's very close and I preferred Fireball until my final rides, but Horntail's inversions were superior.
I got a weird top coaster list my self lol
Everyone's is unique.
I'm surprised Ghostrider is ranked so low. I absolutely adore Twisted Colossus, but I far prefer Ghostrider in the back at night.
I far prefer Twisted Colossus myself.
I miss my Dragon Challenge at Islands of Adventure. 🥺🥺🥺🥺Waah!😭😭😭😭
Me too, although I admittedly think Hagrid's is better.
Alton Towers is now your literal Nemesis after being kept out of the top 50. (Get it?)
Alton Towers's hours are my nemesis.
Hopefully Apollo's Chariot makes the list
It does not. Alpengeist is the highest ride from Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Apollo moved down after my 2021 rides.
@@CanobieCoaster interesting
25 parks in one year?! What do you do for a living?? And how long do you stay at a park you go to for the first time??
Big parks either get 1-2 full days. Small parks could range from a quick pit stop (ex. the Jersey Shore ones) or a half day. I'm a mechanical engineer. There were several instances where I could work in my hotel room until 2 or 3 and then go to a park the rest of the day.
@@CanobieCoaster Mechanical Engineer?? Say less lol. But 25 parks in one year with a career lol
How much would you charge for a consultation to teach a human being how to have a full fledged career and do all that traveling globally and have fun at the same time?!
You know he’s a seasoned thoosie when his 99th is magnum which is my 5th 😅
No shame having Magnum that high.
Finally someone who preferred Hungarian Horntail to Chinese Fireball 🥃
I know I'm in the minority.
@@CanobieCoaster You accidentally said Chinese Horntail instead of Chinese Fireball. 🤭
Didn't even know there were over 1,000 of them out there goddamn
If you think I'm crazy, check out Richard Bannister. I think he has ridden over 3000!
I think there are some people with over 3000 credits :S
@@CanobieCoaster WHAT!!!
Your are my favorite coaster channel but putting Taron so low is wack!
Taron just doesn't have the consistency start to finish as the ones above it, but I've been told it was running slow from my footage.
Hot take; Jersey Devil>Railblaizer. Here's how I look at it, the first half of Jersey Devil is about equal to Railblaizer in terms of ride quality but back row on Jersey Devil (disclaimer; most of my rides on Jersey Devil were back row, because of the moving station my ride count is Jersey Devil-15, Railblaizer-2) is more forceful than anything Railblaizer has (I got back and front on Railblaizer). As far as the second half goes, yea it's fairly weak, even without the midcourse from what I found, but I certainly prefer those mild pops of airtime to the ride just ending at that point.
I prefer the original Raptors since there's less time in-between the elements, making it more intense.
@@CanobieCoaster Grant it I rode Railblaizer in December so it was probably not running like it would on a hot day.
What Roller Coaster in the top 50
Just released the top 50.
I wonder what will be his 1,000th steel coaster…
I honestly have no clue.
Probably something like a standard SBF Visa Spinning or Family Coaster ;D
1157 credits!? That's like, 50X my credit count.
I've been lucky to do a lot of travel after college.
Do you think taron is overrated?
Yes
You might need some rerides on Taron then 😉
Wait so nitro at six flags isn’t in your top 100?! I can’t trust any list that doesn’t include that. Or king da ka? Different strokes for different folks I guess…
Nitro was one of the first to miss this.
Chinese Fireball. PS. Sorry to correct
Whoops, my bad.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
(I go into more detail in a separate review)
I realized I went overboard with that line.
Sorry to point this out but instead of Chinese Fireball you said Chinese Horntail but we all make mistakes😊
Whoops, thanks!
Lightning rod
My favorite.
@@CanobieCoaster yep
How is cedar point I have not been
BRO WHEN DOES PEOPLE LEARN THAT NOT COLOSSOS IS SIMULAR TO EL TORO, EL TORO IS SIMULAR TO COLOSSOS COUSE COLOSSOS WAS BUILD IN 2001 AND EL TORO IN 2006.
True, Colossos came first.
Trigger warning: Beast is better than Mystic Timbers!
Not for me, but I appreciate the Beast for what it is.
Worst list I have seen in my life
Everyone will rank things differently.
