I operated lightning rod for a season and I'll be honest, that coaster would have to go for like a whole season without a significant breakdown for them to even consider it. This past year was its best year yet for uptime and from my experience, dollywood isn't keen on making it worse with how much trouble they had

Love this list. Totally agree with Lighting Rod. I know a bunch of people think it's been outclassed but I disagree. I road it in its first season and I still think it's current version reigns supreme. It's absolutely relentless and the setting is phenomenal.

Always love watching this kind of video from you. Its become an annual tradition for me. Also we have the same top 3 but in the reverse order, but they are all so close that its basically 1a, 1b, and 1c.

Fantastic Video as always. Very much enjoy your videos. One of the best channels out there for this genre I believe. I've ridden a little over 100 coasters but much prefer steel coasters over wood (traditionally) mainly due to the more roughness in nature....that just takes away so much in enjoyment and re-rideability for me. Otherwise, great list. I have more rides on Lightning Rod than any other coaster on your list and it is surely one of the best out there. Hoping to ride VelociCoaster this year to get a take on it. Thanks for the video!

Love the list. I will say, as a local for Fury 325, it’s airtime is downright violent ejector when it’s warmed up on hot summer days. My shirt was completely up my back this past year and having first ridden it in the fall, I was shocked. At its peak, it has airtime strong enough to be compared to RMC’s best. So not quite as consistent as let’s say, Twisted Timbers, but if ridden at it’s peak, it’s even better than the praise you gave it!
I've ridden Fury in many conditions: cold rain when it was near the temperature limit, average spring day, and piping hot summer day.
Yeah F325 at 20 is ridiculous, at that point it's not preference the dude is just wrong, especially when you see the stuff he put above it

Great list, my top two are T Express and Wood Coaster Mountain Flyer and given your list and what you like I’m sure they’d rank highly for you too when you get a chance to ride them

It's definitely underrated.
I love how velocicoaster and gwazi are in so many top 10s and theyre both 2 hours away from me. That makes me happy since I forgot how much I love rollercoasters until I rode them and now I can marathon two of the best coasters in the world without having to travel. 😎 Love your list since im also an airtime junky. I want to start planning trips to every U.S. park with an RMC in it 😆

my fav coaster is Voyage . it has everything i love on a wooden coaster . And a night ride is heavenly

I'm glad to finally see someone throwing some respect on Orion. When I rode Orion it felt like I was constantly being torn out of my seat. Definitely the most intense B&M i've been on.
It improved quite a bit from 2020 to 2021, possibly with the fuller trains.
Nicely done. Some of my favorites are near the your top: Shivering Timbers and Outlaw Run are my favorite woods. Iron Rattler and Untamed are my favorite RMC steels. I actually prefer The Legend over Voyage.
Taking Legend over Voyage is a hot take.

It's a special invert for me.
You should visit OWA in Foley, Al. There is only on coaster but that one coaster is really fun. There is also a water park and a downtown shopping center at owa. Thanks for the awesome vid

I love the roller coasters u pick although I’m wondering how can u leave off verbolten,copperhead strikes and afterburn
Copperhead Strike and Afterburn were close to the top 100.
First time i rode Untamed was a cold day in fall of 2020 and i already was impressed. It went directly to the number 1 spot on my ranking. In 2021 we went on a hot summer day and man...(lost for words)

To beat Lightning Rod, a ride would need flawless pacing and incredible elements. Unless it has an equally special setting, it would need to basically beat that ride element for element. Although I think it's more likely Lightning Rod falls if it were modified again to lose more speed.
Can you stop by the Kalahari on ur next trip to CP? I’m going this Summer and I really want a water park review, considering it’s the only one you haven’t been to yet.
I'm not sure if I'll get there anytime soon. Especially since they closed their old water coaster. When I'm in Sandusky, I spend as much time as possible at Cedar Point since that park needs it.
I’m 5’3” so Superman’s lap bars rest halfway between the top of my thighs and my knees, and I’m not sure if that’s good because it’s a pretty exposed position or bad because it causes a lot of pain if I get stapled
I think I'm in the minority for liking them.

I rode superman in conditions where it should have been running very fast and wicked cyclone was flying (decently heavy rain, and mostly full train) but according to ride forces, it bottomed out at -1G on the 4th hill. I wonder why I haven’t gotten the wild ejector filled experience everyone else describes

Seeing your list, I guess I can call myself lucky to have Untamed, Kondaa, Ride to Happiness and Phantasialand all less than a 2 hour drive away

I have a theory as to why Skyrush kinks. You get pulled over, but halfway down, something crazy happens. It manages to springboard you even further. Its probably due to the ride quickly hitting the max angle of descent, which looks to be about 80-85 degrees.
Other drops quickly reach their max angle, but they don't do that.
@@CanobieCoaster I mean it quickly reaches in the sense that it hits the angle and then immediately transitions to pulling out. it's not like on a B&m drop where it hits the angle, stays there for a bit and then pulls out
I'm curious to see what you think of DC Rivals, Superman Escape, and the new Leviathan if you ever decide head down to Australia/Asia

My night ride on Outlaw Run was one of the most terrifying rides I’ve experienced-in a good way.

Candymonium is a great ride. I hope Hershey will keep Candymonium for at least 20 to 30 years. The ride has a great layout and it is smooth

Im a little surprised i305 isn't any higher. I thought it had tons of airtime, and it had better airtime than Skyrush and Ghostrider in my opinion.
I305 throws you from your seat, but a lot of it is different airtime than traditional coasters.
Candymonium is on a lot of people’s Top Coaster lists. It is one of my favorite coasters😊. Have can you not love Candymonium. It will remain on a lot of people’s Coaster lists for a very long time

I guess it’s safe to say that you are a fan of RMC. They do build some of the most enjoyable coasters out there

I enjoy seeing others rankings and see how wildly different people view the same rides. I don't have maverick in my top 50 and I only have 117 credits counting kiddie coasters. I find the launch weak then after that nothing really excited me. Gave multiple rides and I just don't get the hype.
Wow that's even lower than me on Maverick. I know some put it in their top 10, so I've gotten some flack for my ranking.

What if they combined top thrill dragster and Xcelerator together that would truly be insane

I havent ridden iron gwazi yet, but have the other 3 of your top 4 as my top 3. But I disagree and think steel vengeance is by far the #1 rollercoaster for me. It is as perfect of a ride as you can get
I totally get why Vengeance is number 1 for many.
If i remember correctly from your last top 100, u had SV at #6, so I wasn't expecting it to be #2 this time

I am not one to criticize rankings often, but putting the disappointing SILVER STAR over MAVERICK is insane.
I know I have Silver Star far higher than most. I've only gotten untrimmed rides, even in summer, so it was flying.

Not quite, but it's amazing.
Surprised not to see Yukon Striker crack the top 50, let alone the top 100. Behemoth at 98?? Way too low. Both at Canada's Wonderland.
I really like Yukon Striker, but it couldn't beat these 100 rides. It's in the next 50, which is still in the top 15%.

I prefer a ride that's more consistently great start to finish, but I get why many love El Toro. It has 4 world-class moments.
