I have extremely high dose infusions monthly and for some reason I don’t seem to have any side effects at all. My anesthesiologists have all been shocked at what it takes to get me a proper pain infusion dose. Right now I get a 100mg bolus and then 800mg over 2 or 2 1/2 hours depending on how busy PACU is. It has such an amazing effect on ptsd and processing trauma and on my Crps. Took years of fighting the VA to do it but I’m on a solid schedule now and it’s working wonders.

I do maintenance therapy with esketamine (Insurance will pay), 84mg 2-3 times/month.
Since I like metaphysics, I can have spiritual experiences even on that dose. I do talk to God sometimes. I have learned that I am to concentrate on being a humanitarian. So, I now work as a caregiver of elderly people. My primary profession was as a firefighter.
Also, I envisioned a computer motherboard with the lines being formed on the grid. Next trip, I experienced tree branches forming.

The part about THC and dreams makes so much sense. Since the experience of ketamine infusion is so much like a dream, and also because you have to stay off the weed (which disrupts regular dreaming) while receiving treatment with K anyway, it follows that treatment with K will allow dreams to re-exert their properties of psychological healing. That's my hypothesis anyway... 😅

I knew how to stay or get calm if needed, I knew to lay down if I was getting dizzy. But I must say for 2-3 days after the trip even if it's just a low dose trip I felt like a ton of weight was taken off my shoulder and felt care free and hopeful. I was all set up for ketamine for pain. I had a choice, i'm lucky to have more tfan one reason to use this treatment! It was suggested i go for the pain method, larger doses in lesser infusions. Depression treatment was longer by number of visits but lesser medication. I got my confirmation call for tume and prep vefore coming. And literally one hour later i was called, the clinic was closing and combining all patients to one location, 5 hours away. I was so upset and have not even looked for another IV Ketamine clinic. I found one place that dispenses a pill and you get a phone number to call as your "check in" (?!?!?) and monitoring.

Great points on cannabis! I’ve been through a journey with it! CBD or other methods are greater in comparison.., but I’ve used it, having it be helpful in moderation for widespread pain, issues, etc!

At 5:45 you speak of salivation being excessive under ketamine. At age 69 I suffer from "xerostomia" or excessive dry mouth in recent times. I don't have any anti-depressants and my other meds were considered and ruled out except for Lisinopril and was changed to Losartan which didn't make any difference either. I am also illegal drug free and have said no to such drugs all of my life. Can ketamine stimulate my salivation receptors and I finally overcome xerostomia? I'm hoping I naturally overcome it and I'm so far holding on my taking pilocarpine HCL 5MG tabs 3 times a day. I lost, over several months with diet and exercise, 35 pounds and plateaued with that now after 9 months, so I'm keeping it off this time. I still have about 70 pounds to go... but I'm hoping with health improvements with weightloss etc that my salivation will restart again. Is that a pipe-dream or should I get ketamine treatment, or start taking the pilocarpine? I'm already on 5 meds and trying to avoid more if you know what I mean. Thanks for your great video!

While I was under for my first and second sessions with iv ketamine infusion treatment, I wanted so badly to have a therapist to talk to. They increased the dose of the third treatment which made me dissociate a lot more. For this one I listened to Music For Psychedelic Therapy ; John Hopkins. My favorite is Sit Around The Fire. I had a completely different and positive outlook on what my life is. Truly amazing journey. My hope is that this therapy can be somehow made a little cheaper. But most of all I hope that my children can benefit from this therapy. And not have to go through hell for 40 years before receiving some potentially life changing help. Fourth treatment tomorrow. Also, I’m able to function and get things done without having to talk myself off of the couch for 3 hours. I’m so sick of being stuck and crying all of the time. And my kids don’t need to see me like this anymore.

Could you do some I sights on General Anastasia and aftermath of surgical pain for recovered addicts.
Nearly 6 years free from IV crystal meth and coke addiction, now working as a trained support worker in Recovery Services.
Had appendectomie lately, and mentioned this to the anesthesiologist. Was given morfine after surgery, and codeïne to take home for 7 days.
Although I have not used opioids during my addiction, when I stopped after 7 days I had 2 nights quite severe using dreams.
Any thoughts on that ? Many thanks, Hendrik

I can't explain it medically. But basically your body wants to get high and it's trying to trick you into using again. It's the physical version of stinking thinking...

Yes I agree this would be beneficial to more people than you would think who's recovering or in recovery. Most Drs don't understand how the mind and body work together for an addict. Sounds like you might have more information than the average Dr.

Wow most nasal clinics don't have a physician like you being supportive, encouraging and connecting with the patient that is already pre-disposed to cognitive rigidity and would be hesitant to engage in this type of therapy. I am not happy with mediocre pain clinic management centers that sell ketamine nasal treatment and does not have integrative psychiatry, anesthesioligtst and psychological counseling to make the Ketamine treatment an integrated engagement.

I am interested to know if you have experience/results or are aware of studies related to Ketamine for Myalgic Encephalyitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Long Covid. There is so little help, treatment or even compassion for one of the worst diseases anyone can experience. I'm reading of studies taking place for this condition. I'm wondering if you've had direct experience treating patients with this disease.

Disassociation is usually framed as pathological, but it can also be enlightening, tranformative, and healing.
Think about it: What was going on with Moses when that burning bush started talking to him? With Muhammed when god (or the devil) were dictating the Koran verses to him? When Jesus had his moment of doubt and pain as he died on the cross? While Siddhartha Gautama sat under the Bodhi tree meditating for 7 weeks?
All were undergoing episodes of transcendent disassociation that resulted in the formation of spritual practices and religions which for better or worse, continue to transform and impact humanity to this day. The lesson here is that disassociation is nothing to trifle with. It carries with it the potential for spiritual destruction or spiritual transcendence and awakening.
Awakening and healing when it comes to Ketamine infusion theraphy adminstered by skilled and compasionate medical professionals in a safe setting.
Trauma / PTSD / Complex PTSD and related conditions are ultimately about unresolved / unprocessed emotions demanding resolution, but finding none. Ketamine infusion theraphy allows people to re-experience / re-live traumatic experiences in a safe way. As an outside observer disassociated from their physical body. In my case this expereince was so powerfully healing that I only needed a single infusion to stop the unremitting refractory anxiety and depression that tormented me most of my life.
    I am autistic
I'm also a musician. Playing guitar and singing are one way I can safely disassociate re-live, and make the worst, most painful moments of my life beautiful, meaningful, and healing. It works in ways very similar to what I expereinced under ketamine. Amazingly, when I perform music in public, people connect with what I'm experiencing and expressing and are healed too. It's amazing.
Here's one of the songs I perform that's explicity about disassociation:
    ruclips.net/video/8wFnVlIdj7c/видео.html
Tom Yorke calls "How to Disappear Completely" his favorite Radiohead song. Tom Yorke suffers from depression. I suspect disassociation through music is how he transcends it, and that it's this healing transcendence that so many people connect with in the music of Radiohead and so many other artists, writers, poets.
The healing power of disassociative transcendence is a universal aspect of human conciousness. With great power comes great risk and thus great responsibility to use that power wisely and carefully.

Is ketamine ever used in a heart cath? I’ve got to know! The only, um, excess liquid “down there” as you put it, happened to me after a heart cath last year, the only one I’ve ever had. As I was waking up an hour later it was because I was peeing about a gallon of water out right there in the bed in recovery. That was beyond embarrassing! If it’s used in that, I’d really like to know for the future. Just in case. lol

For general understanding they are the same drug. But for a more complete answer to your question, Ketamine, like many drugs, is a mixture of 2 enantiomers (esketamine and arketamine). Think of these as a left and right hand - both are hands but appear different when you lay one over the other. With respect to drugs one of the enantiomers may act differently than the other. Specifically, esketamine (the S enantiomer of ketamine) is more potent of an NMDA receptor blocker than arketamine.
