I'm enjoying the race content very much. It goes to show the thousand plus hours you've spent restoring and building vintage has also paid off in turning out these track competitors.
I love my B7. It took me two race days to get it setup how I like it. For some reason I had the hardest time getting it to go straight. Once I sorted that I raised the rear a mm and it woke up. I can carry so much more speed in the corners, especially long sweepers I make up a ton of time on the competitors. Went from midpack with my B6.3 to podiums and a win with the B7 just using the stock setup for the most part.
That does look like a very nice kit, quality looks right up there. Is it just me, or did the blue anodizing in the first bag look different on all the parts? Can't wait to see how you get on with it👍
I did my first race ever recently, with a RC10B5M i bought used online, I didn't realize it was as old as it was, its in great condition, any way I entered a local race a really nice high grip clay track. I won both qualifiers and the main. I was Racing against all b7's nobody else had an older vehicle besides me. I got it as a roller abd bought a flysky radio, Hobbywing g2s and a reedy 17.5 all used. And used charger and used batteries. $400 in total.
No, I’ve got a load of upgrades coming. I’m just thinking of a way to finance a big RC project for the show. If I could keep it and fund the project I would
Great unboxing video per usual. Thank you for sharing. Your YZ-870c is a lovely bit of kit so whatever you are replacing it with will certainly be awesome. I have a wild albeit somewhat sensical guess what it might be especially considering there are only a handful of really cool super dooper extra special buggies left that have not been in your collection at one time or another. Anyhoo, damned excited for the reveal!
Hello mate I’m going to get this buggy this week, have you started the build yet I can’t find any other videos on your channel of it thanks, just want to see any tips or upgrades to get for it before I start to build it cheers
This is about the 4th video on this kit I’ve seen, I came close to buying the 6.4 a bunch of times but always ended up buying another Tamiya but I think I have all the Tamiya I want now….
Well for carpet you can get yellow cactus pre mounted for £22 ish and the fronts yellow cut staggers pre mounted for about the same. Total for rims and tyres around £42 ish
I don't understand the wall of junk behind him. I had a Grasshopper and something else I don't remember the name of anymore and they were trash. Flimsy plastics, no handling from their crude suspension. Motors that made no power, that wonderful mechanical speed controller. Batteries that too 10 times longer to charge than they would run. I traded them off for a .22 rifle that needed a bit of work, but it still works while both those cars are at the bottom of a land fill. Just one more person rambling on about how wonderful old cars are, although a few had more style that most new cars,, that is all. They had no power, no performance, dangerous. Someone looking back with nostalgia for an era that never really existed.
I'm pretty new to rc building but one thing really infuriates me about modern RC buggies - The bloody plastic bottle cap looking wheels. They look like absolute shite. Why the heck do they all have the same cheap looking rubbish wheels? The Kyosho scorpian / wild one blockhead motors edition wheels look no much nicer & realistic. What does everyone else think?
Very nice! I have a 30 yearold saying ,"Tamiya for the fun,Team Associated for the win."

Now look at the R1 Wurks hop ups for the B7 like the 3 gear transmission and direct drive unit 😀

I have this issue, I’ve had to make one turnbuckle shorter than the other, either that or have a lot of subtrim. I’ve re-centred servo as best I can
A small fun packed box looks good.
That looks a really nice buggy mate. Everytime i go to Rochester RC it tempts me...
Looking forward to seeing this built
Coming next week 👍🏻👍🏻 Loads of building going on with the BBX and B7 as well as the HotShot 2 coming real soon
@@RCKickschannel thought my build list was long think yours is longer then mine Gavin. lol
Ive yet to see one, my mates got one for his new race buggy, but i do love the body on this like you.
I’ll DM you 😉 great vid on the B7 btw, look forward to the build.
Great video. Like always with AE not enough testing with materials. Already problems with the buggy. B7.1 2 weeks lol.
Super video and looking forward to the build! Would the B7 body fit the B6.3 you think? I love the body but can’t justify getting the B7 as yet 😢

Nice! Welcome back to RC racing, sounds like you are off to a flying start! :)
If you do end up letting the Dogfighter go, I’d love to see you race your Pro-Cat as your vintage 4wd entry.
Always enjoy your videos. Can't wait to see what you're going to do with this one! Just for thoughts how about a hopped up vintage SRB ? Cheers!
So what's the cool things coming that's better then the clear edition?
Wow, you fell out of love with the Dog fighter pretty quick!!!

I think when people find out what’s coming, letting the 870 go will make more sense and we are talking exclusive detailed build content. 🤫
Yeah I have a B6, mostly because I just like the chassis. I think people would have understood if you kept the B6.
If it wasn’t for content and I was just racing for myself, the B6.4 is well worth getting used. Amazing buggy and at a bargain prices currently.
@@RCKickschannel The prices, I know right. Gah!
I think I know what you might be getting instead of the 870c, but I am not going to spoil it for you. It's a little expensive, for sure.
This looks great! 😍
It will be a track weapon after a few months as better setups come out for it and everyone starts to understand what works best

Nope still not built it lol. Soon

If budget is limited go used B6.4 as it’s epic. B7 will be faster but you are paying for the latest and greatest.
I presume this is not the batch with the revised parts ?. Did you have any issues with rear hinge pins and idler gears ?
It's an early kit and funny enough I am building it this week after all this time. Yes it has the issues but I have replacement parts to fix the issue
B64CC still available at RCMart with 5% off till tomorrow!
Not worth importing one into the UK
@@RCKickschannel ahh got it.. Prolly for the best its still a lot of $$
Sure, the b6.4 cc is sold out in the uk? In germany I'm sure I can get 10 ore more - tomorrow!😅
I think about 50€ more than a b7 is a problem...
I agree on the CC price is a hard sell when you can get a NIB B6.4 for way less and a used B6.4 is a total bargain currently
@@RCKickschannel My opinion is a b74.2 would be nice for the next cc!
Hey Gav, do the modern team associated come with metric or imperial fasteners?
Metric thank God
I think you should have kept the 6.4
What makes you say that?
I have an idea what you might be getting to replace the Super DogFighter! Only because I want to get one too!
LOL
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
A load of changes over the b6.4.
A lot of them do all look the same
Its A LOT more fragile but faster
My question is wheels etc not electrics but how much more do u pay???
Well for carpet you can get yellow cactus pre mounted for £22 ish and the fronts yellow cut staggers pre mounted for about the same. Total for rims and tyres around £42 ish
Really love your videos but not sold on the switching between cameras during the intro
Give it time, I need to improve it
I want the sweatshirt where can I get it

The ball diff is garbage. I destroyed 2 in 6 battery packs.
wow! I run the gear diff on carpet so not had a chance to try it out for myself.
B6.4 ball diff is well known as one of the best. I think the b7 has been rushed and has alot of weaknes wuite schumacher like
Not sure how the hell you did that
Stands in front of 50 RC cars, cannot justify the b6.4 and the b7.
Please build it!!!!!!!!!
Coming soon
Dude has a wall of rc says he can't justify keeping a b6?😊
Zero space, better off putting the money into something else that I can make more content with. Doesn’t sound unreasonable
B7 no where as tough as b6.4. Wait for brken c block, broken idle gears, bent chassis. I think faster but more fragile

I think it’s to keep costs down as you change your rims and tyres all the time. That plus the aero aspect but I agree on the looks being a bit bland
Meh. AE rerelease the goldy, any flavor. Please. -U10
