I have a m17 too, the Nobel is so much nicer. Much better build quality, feels nicer, interface is way better, screen is better. Maybe the sanwa is a bit quicker I don’t know but I can’t tell any difference .
An M17 won't factory reset itself while charging and delete all of your models and settings like the Flysky will. It is a big problem with their line up. I had to punt my NB48 Pro after the third time it happened.
I’m left handed, I’ve always struggled with pistol grip transmitters. I brought the OG nb4 and I have to say for racing it’s changed my whole experience. I jumped up a class over night. Having that ability to move the wheel to left handed is a game changer. It also helps it’s a stupidly good tx. £30 for a receiver and same ms response as the mid range alternatives.
Another great product review Mr. Harris! I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your videos. You talk with true honesty and really appreciate your ability to explain things in a way that I can connect so well with. Please continue to do what you do. Thank you!
I just picked one of these up. I'm glad I got something that's worth it. Amazing work as always. Just getting into racing and love the content. Keep it up.
As a noble NB4 user myself, I love this thing, it’s never given me issues and it rivals any high dollar radio you can think of, and you cannot beat that price!
I've been using my NB4 for over a year now with my on-road touring cars and all my off-road buggies and sct. Such an amazing unit to use. So much adjustment available at you finger tips.
I've been using the FlySky Noble since it came out back in 2019, and it's been rock solid for me no matter which version I've used. Part of me is a little disappointed it's becoming so popular because the prices are going to go up along with his popularity, but I'm glad to see the radio get its due. And my god, thank you for calling out the wheel bouncing, it's like nails on a chalkboard whenever I hear it. I get that same look on my face when I look over it whoever's doing it.
Love this video I enjoy watching your race footage because you explain things in a way where I understand what happened and what you did to continue your race
I started running one of these this season. I was coming off of the much cheaper flysky gt5, it was certainly a noticeable jump from that. I'm super happy with my purchase. Welcome to both the flysky and Tekno dark side. Now to upgrade my 2.1 buggies to 2.2s lol
The gt5 radio got so much lagg its not funny, had to start turning in my buggy 2 yards before the turn to make it, got a futaba 3pv and cant feel any lag in that radio. The only much more worse then gt5 is trx radios holy moly those are so slow they need to ride in the short busses 😂
The battery base USB-A port is for charging other devices, it's a battery bank. The USB-C is for charging it up or for use as a game controller, and in the grip is the radio battery that recharges off the battery bank base.
Hi Ryan! I was almost sure I would get one to replace my FG-RS3 for my XB8E... Now I'm totally sure! Thanks for this excellent video (as usual). Thanks from the south of France!
Hello Ryan! After two driving sessions, here is my little feedback: Ooooooh la vaaache (French expression like holy cow!). At first glance, the radio is really well made. It's light, the controls are easy to reach and the touch screen is really nice. There are really all the necessary functions and the adjustment is easy and intuitive. On the track, the responsiveness and precision are impressive. I was able to test some much more expensive models and honestly, I don't see any difference! Thank you again for your videos and your positive energy! Take care of yourself PEACE! ;)
I love the NB4+, it was the first transmitter I've ever bought over $200 USD. I agree with Ryan's review. I've used other more expensive radios in the past and was never impressed enough to drop five hundred plus dollars to buy one. I have a friend who introduced me to the NB4. Fast forward to a few months later, and the NB4+/Pro is announced. I bought the NB4+ and haven't looked back. I recommend the NB4+ to anyone, especiallyfor the super low price point. Can't be beat for this price. Ryan, I know our crowd is smaller than off-road, and I to also race off-road, but I want more oval too. After racing CW sprint cars, I'd like you to explore other brands and oval kits outside Sprint, like GFRP cars, etc. TY
I've been loving the NB4 Noble since it first released with 4 channels. Firmware updated to 8ch and a second RTR version with my Traction Hobby Tank 300. Heck yeah the GT3 worked good but the touch screen is so nice to setup. The buttons and scroll wheels are so good for all the extra functions on a RC car. Work fantastic on my RC boats as well. And I just have fun driving my stuff around. And people used to call it an expensive radio but it's a lot cheaper than current best spektrum "garbage".
I had both in front of me, always wanted the M17… raced 1 week with the Sanwa and 1 with the Noble. Money was no concern.. I just wanted to upgrade from my old Futaba 4PK after using both I settled for the Noble!! Cracking radio at 1/2 the price too 😃😎💪🏼💪🏼
I have been out for over 10 years - my last radio was a Futaba 3PJ!!! I also have an Airtronics M8 that I got to support my kyosho Mini Z and DNano cars. Coming back I am finding that I have a lot to learn as a lot has changed. I started flying some FPV drones and they are super fun to race! Anyway one of the most popular protocols in FPV is called ELRS and you can get ELRS on many different brands of radios such as RadioMaster, Jumper, etc... The ELRS protocol is supposed to be very fast - low latency like 4 ms... and massive range (miles of range!) So RadioMaster has made a surface radio using the ELRS protocol. I can't say what is good or not here but it would be good for those that know to know about this radio. It is also very inexpensive at around $130!!!! This radio could be something important, a radio that has super good feel and response times, long range, low cost, durable, etc.... or it could simply be a super reliable, inexpensive, practice or basher radio. So who can weigh in with some facts on this radio?
U going to luv it.. nb4 just work's , I have been running it a year no problems, nb4+ has all the nice colors, plus some goodies, 👍🏽🏁,, blessings from TDEE Hobbies Rc lifestyle
ive been looking to add another tx for my friend because she’s going to start running my 2wd and I figured i could just give her my dx5c and I could get a “proper” radio 😂 perfect timing I’ll be sure to use your link. Edit: holy crap I can’t believe how cheap the radio and receiver are! on backorder but hopefully arrives early October.
First off Ryan I have loved ur videos for years. Can’t get enough and I watch as soon as I get a chance to see when u post a new video. I’ve been able to experience a radio making me faster and how it connects u to the car. I’m using an m17 now as well and I love it. Would love to try the fly sky. But I want to see u test it in the opposite direction now. Go from the fly sky back to the m17 and let us know how u feel.
I just bought this radio like two weeks ago, very happy with it, just been bashing around and crawling but there'll be a TC 1/10 race near the next month so... 🤞🤞🤞
Granted, I'm newly returning to the hobby after 20 years, but I bought the NB4+ and absolutely love it. It's hard to find "accessories" for it right now. But if I had to do it over again, I would have bought the NB4+ PRO.... Just for the included case. I bought the case seperate and it was like $80 alone. Then the $15 aluminum screen protector and battery butt stop enclosure. The PRO comes with some more features, most I'll never use, but the case is nice with perfectly cut foam/extra pockets/etc.
I have this radio and three receivers in my cart. I love your footage, I’m using a Spektrum Dx5 pro now, and it’s clunky. Do you think I should hit the button as a brother from another mother? I felt a friends noble nb4+ and it feels great. Thanks man!
What's more wild to me is that people are spending over $800 for transmitters that have receivers that cost over $75. Insane. $21 for Flysky receivers, $30 if you want a gyro in it. You just can't beat that dollar to value ratio. There's no way a $800 is 3x as good as a $250 FlySky.
Have my Typhon 3s,6s & TLR all on the +. Bewnusing the NB4 & NB4+ for a few years now and their very nice for the price and their RXs are decent and FW updates are fairly easy.
It's a nice radio! Got the 1st version, when it was released years ago (in 2020 for 130€ !) and i felt connected to the car just like with my Sanwa. Menu and settings are much more userfriendly with the flysky! Would love to see the newer brighter display as a spare part, so i can update my old nb4.
I'm pretty sure you can buy the updated screen for the older radios now. WTF RC I think is the RUclips channel that goes into the details on how to do it.
@@giddeeyupguy I searched for it and you're right. Soarsky sells update kits including display and Mainboard, but it's sold out and only 50$ less than a complete new NB4+

I picked up the OG Noble in 2021 when I started racing. Had to drink the m17 kool aid and ran that for a few years. Always hated the size, battery life and interface. Decided to try my Noble again. To my surprise, I was clobbering apexes and had to slow down my turn in - even on the base settings with the non-plus model, it’s noticeably faster than the m17, even with SH5 and fast servos. The Noble is better feeling, easier to use, and faster. The world’s been sleeping on these radios for years.
I've got an NB4 about 6 years ago. Only issue is base battery puffed up after 3 years. $50 to replace if I remember correctly. Recently updated the NB4 to NB4 Pro Plus with kit from Soar Sky RC. It was pretty easy.
There was a time about five or so years ago when you would get laughed at and no respect if you used a fly sky radio. I bought mine because at the time I couldn't justify 500+ dollars for a radio. I won several races and never had a problem. Boy have times changed
@RyanHarrisRC that's okay, not many people do because it's an entirely different segment of RC car racing. It takes a lot of precision in terms of setup and driving, but if you can race 1/28 scale successfully, everything else seems easier. It's an awesome skill-building tool.
I've had the NB4 from the start of my racing. I highly recommend it for the new guys coming in. Price vs performance is best in class 💯 Its also a radio you can grow into as you become a more presice driver and require more features like live data, temp, voltages etc..
This change has been in the back of my head for a while now. I have an old mt-44 and can’t get my self to pay for the receivers. Considering to switch to fluky his Ply due to the price of receivers

yeah, it's really just easier to do micro adjustment midcorner with a noble, I tried multiple sanwa and futaba other people used, and they do have smth like 170sbl so it's definitely not the servo, but I just won't feel the connection with the car (the car drove decently fast tho).
the radio come in Chinese version and English version, it actually is a downside of it that it's not interchangeable. I had a CN version nb4 pro and here in US people basically just can't tell what's on my radio unless they had the same model and recognized the icons.
replaced my futaba for the og nb4...like it since i got it...only problem the og mb4 has a weak original battery so after a year and a half i needed to replace it
Steering wheel, I like it I'm ambidextrous, but I do prefer left-handed for technical or what am I trying to say controller preference I have made my own left-handed Wii controller. Looks identical Denny other controller except it's fluorescent green and it is made for my hands which are large Palm, normal length fingers, and super fat fingers. T6 anodized aluminium.
I don't think the pro version has any differences that really matter to most people. Like Ryan said, its the connection and feel to the vehicle that matters most and I don't think the pro version has anything different that would really change the feel. I think it has a bigger battery and different screen maybe? maybe some different menu items, but I'm pretty sure the components having to do with sending a signal are the same. And you get a fancy case with the pro version.
Got rid of my nb4 pro for a m17 best thing I ever did. The second time it just factory reset on its own going out for a main I just didn't trust it anymore. Went to update the firmware and it failed and bricked itself. There app is awful. It did work ok for the most part although I always felt the signal was jacked up or amplified the input to the car was always edgy feeling. I much prefer the feeling of the m17
I have a m17 too, the Nobel is so much nicer. Much better build quality, feels nicer, interface is way better, screen is better. Maybe the sanwa is a bit quicker I don’t know but I can’t tell any difference .

@@RyanHarrisRC One last question. What receiver were you using for your Nitro?
The flip of the wheel from left to right is for lefties and ambis. It was great for my brother so he doesn't have to do the weird arm crossed driving.
Now that you have the most-used radio in 1/28 scale racing, when can we expect a video on those cars?? 😉

Flipping the steering wheel from right to left is "practically" useful if you are left-handed like me.

Yes the NB4 plus radio features with 2 ch "ultra fast" mode
@@FlyskyRCModelthanks for your reply, witch receiver do you recommend for 1/10 off-road, the best for low latency
Does it bind to any receiver?
It can bind with any Flysky AFHDS3 protocol receivers
It's chinese my guy, they taking over our hobby in a good way
so whats the best receiver for it?
For offroad buggy, the FGr4B enhanced receiver would be better. For onroad touring car, the FGr4D antennaless receiver would be better.
@@FlyskyRCModel ah okey thanks guys :)
The pros use the nb4 pro not the nb4 plus, but I don’t think there’s much of a difference
I have a 10px and I bought my son an nb4+. I would have a hard time buying the 10px again after using my son’s noble for the price.
What receiver(s) were you running with it?
I linked both of them in my description!
@@RyanHarrisRCi didn't think you were running thr flysky transmitter. You really didn't cover it in the video.
Didn’t talk about all the telemetry you can get too
Got rid of my nb4 pro for a m17 best thing I ever did.
