Only update that this guide needs for 2020 is that the most common dummy parse is now on the 21m (raid dummy) and not the 6m anymore. Also do note that if you are using the Iron Atronach, you do not need the outside help such as Piercing Mark & Energy Orbs as the Iron Atronach will provide those buffs for you. Otherwise, it's all still 100% accurate :)
I’m told I only need about 6k total spell penetration on the 21m dummy as it applies things like ele drain to itself when you start combat with it. Is that true
So which parsing dummy would you recommend to see what the best hit rate a Stamplar could test ?

Emphasis on proper light attack weaving is the most important thing I feel. Not getting those light attack weaves in properly is the difference in a bad parse and great parse. I might would have had a breakdown specially on timing and importance of it.
depending on your build light attack can add a huge % of dps, 20% like that. I come from dota2 so it is what i search in the first place, animation cancel but i play from asia so ping is bad. Its very hard to do as input sometimes is not register.
Agreed. I went from 19k dps->40k dps just by getting my rotation down and hitting all my lights. Now I just gotta get the proper gear

Does gear from purple from gold matters? Or is pretty much about rotation and weaving?
For weapons gold matters. Everything else? Not so much. Purple is fine

As of Blackwood patch, assuming no class or race pen passives, how much penetration should I have on my stat sheet to hit cap with the 21 mil dummy?
We dont have these add ons for ps4 -_- do we?
Any answer for this?? I'm searching any way to check my dps and compare with others on dungeons, but don't find the way through ps4... It's very difficult to know if you're performing well without that information.

I have a stamsorc khajit with Relequen+Kinras all divines. I get three rotations in and my Stam is completely gone. I'm using the trial dummy that buffs too. Using Lava foot soup and weapon power potions. Any tips on pace of a parse ?

I've been parsing quiet a while, got all the basics setup for "Perfect" parses. Use exactly the same rotations what Skinnny, Nefas and many others do but still can't hit that over 100k marker. Console might have something to do with it but how much internet connection effects it? and just to add here there's no problem on my weaving. I've had many friends even come and check that if I'm missing light attacks and there's no problem there... WTF IS THE PROBLEM??😂 starting to get extremely frustrated here
I don't understand how getting a friend to help in anyway would pass for a dps parse ... most people ask for a clip not a ss to check your parsing by yourself

Trap > Swap > Archer > Caltrops > Hail > Injection > Swap > BB > Rending > Skull > BB > Siphon > Skull > BB > Trap > Swap > Start at archer (use backbar ult when up before the barswap, LA in between each skill usage)
I hit 23k on 3mill dummy with no buffs or spell power pots or ele drain wats that on trail dummy as i dont have access to one or nowon to give me buff or de buffs

whenever I go into a battleground I use my abilities end they do like 1000 and sometimes 2000 but when I get killed it says the enemy was doing upwards of like from 5 to 9000
Gotta watch what your damage is at. Where your pen is at. Are you critical hitting? If not, why aren’t you using malacaths etc
Going to need a few basic PS4 setups like this is where this skill goes in these slots etc. and this is the basic rotation you should be doing for maximum dps. Shit.. I don't even know what medium armor traits I should be equipped with for a Dragonknight Stamina DPS build, Health, or maximum Stamina, or what I should really be putting my Champion Points into to be most effective.. Simplify so is simpletons like me can enjoy the game without taking any flack.. lol

I don't understand why I get 23k dps on a 3mil dummy but in vet dungeons and trials I do from 10k to 95k and the weird thing is when I compare my dps with others in these activities even when the chart shows that I did only 10k dps somehow its still the highest % dps done in team or at least in top 3 in trials, either im looking at wrong statistics or im not getting something, just now I finished vSS while im 260cp and did 14% dmg with only 40k dps
Any tips for weaving light attacks on console? I feel like lag is totally holding me back from weaving or is if timing... thank you
Bit late but I struggle with this a lot as well.
Sadly one of the fixes is to get the newest console. I run on an Xbox one and you can tell how clunky it is
Other option is to slow down your parse so you can ensure there’s no overlapping. Noticed with this new update sometimes the game allows you to overlap animations, but they’re unpredictable

Sorry, but this isn’t well explained. You seem to start in the middle and then go all over the place, while assuming that we know all about the subject.
I recently came back to eso and i'm very demoralised as I'm hitting 55k dps with siroria and MS with zaans on a mag blade. Mean while my friend is hitting 82k with the same gear just don't know what i'm doing wrong. I can't sit there and do a decent parse. Sucks not being able to compete and get skins because i can't parse but i'm flawless on 4 of my characters
Coming from someone who had the same issues...its your rotation. Don’t miss a single light attack. Keep your passive damage up constantly. Even at the cost of your ability to keep spamming your spammable
So, you hit 41k on the 6M dummy and then 76k on the 21M dummy. Surely this can't be just the trial buffs from the larger dummy? Can you explain this?
It is the buffs. He said he gets Major Brutality only on the trial dummy.
It's the debuffs on the trial dummy that reduce its armor.
I can only get to 19.5k without orbs or nothing just self sustain on the 6 million. When I do trial dummy I only get 45k its not enough I guess. I just dont have enough DOTs with 2 handed sword, DW as a stamina NIghtblade?

But damn that 76k makes me cry, I felt good when I reached 35 ^^; Now it doesn't matter, I don't play dps until making myself HR jevelery in about a week and a half ^^
Dont forget that 76k was on the raid dummy (so i had all the raid buffs/debuffs) and it's actually a bit low for what i can pull. Parse was a bit sloppy and unfortunately my second 5 piece set isnt overly optimized for the parse (was on the live server). Im glad to hear the video helped :D !
76k is around 40-42k on a 6mil dummy so that's certainly good but not insane. With that dps you can do stuff like vSS and vCR but that won't cut it for the hardest trials in the game. 35k on a 6mil isn't that bad, you should give yourself more credit!
@@Xedrix if you watch the earlier parses, I was getting 41/42k on the 6 million dummy without major fracture. The parse on the iron atro just wasn't a great one.

Food and Potions are a bit annoying to manage. I've yet to do Trials, but I can breeze through Vet dungeons with a proper team. So how essential are they for damage?

Very essential. You miss key buffs and stats without them
I'm not Dottz but I can say that food provides much needed extra health and primary resource whether you're magicka or stamina and the Artaeum food gives great extra recovery which leads to better sustain and better parses. Having the alchemy passives that make potions last 30% longer and popping the weapon/spell power pots on cooldown will also drastically increase your DPS and sustain and is vital for vet content and max DPS parses. If you are really frugal you can probably manage without it but you will never be reaching your max dps potential, I highly recommend investing the money especially if you're into the PvE aspect.
Food and potions are as important as your gear and your skills you're using, they are part of your build
Most of what is going to give you good DPS is getting your rotation down. Theres no shortcut, unless were talking about light attack animation cancelling. Practice practice practice. Light attack between every single ability to speed it up and add more damage
What about LA between ultimates, synergies, and taking potions. I'm not clear if these should be LA weaved, or are in the global cooldown. Any information would be appreciated.
I’m new to dps like rly new just got curious to try it out, so I hit a dummy at a friends base and did 5980.4 in 24s, what exactly does that mean? am I doing below 20k?
it means your DPS is 6k, so yes, below 20k lol
Im a magcro myself im weaving doing all the things other people do. I use false god ms with maw of infernal. I cant get over 65k

Im still underleveled so i havent done trials
But Dottz, you’re forgetting about a whole bunch of other penetration bonuses... you don’t only get major fracture/breach from the tank, which is 5280, but there’s also gold alkosh which is another 3010, infused crusher enchant, which is 2108, and minor fracture/breach from a Templar healer which is another 1320. So 5280+3010+2108+1320...all adds up to 11,718 pen on a boss, so really you only need to cover to 6482. This goes even lower if the tank is using Torug’s pact, since that crusher changes to 2740.
i didnt forget those penetration bonuses at all. If you note in my video, i say that you should have your penetration equal to or less than 12k (including Major Fracture/Breach) because - like you said - group mates would cover the rest via alkosh, crusher, minor pen buffs, etc. i even mention and reference my guide where i go over all those specifics: dottzgaming.com/eso-guides/general/eso-pve-dps-penetration-optimization/

I mean thats what u do the entire game, running from here to there, runing to mobs etc. If the most basic thing u do u find it ugly and not well done how can you enjoy the game? It triggers me having characters running like they have a stick up their arse.
