Love using my E BIKE on days were am not feeling up to it .. Gets me out there when i only had my normal bikes i would give it a miss like the vids keep them up 😎
Yea, I agree with you. You put in the same leg power using e-bike v road bike. I tend to do more hills with my E-bike than I would with my Giant TCR bike, however I am a bit lazy on downhill sections and freewheel to save battery power. Must try your comparison.
First of all, fantastic videos with beatiful locations! And they are really informative. Subscribed right away :) Since you have both topstone and gain, can you maybe campare them in terms of geometry and comfort etc. (ofcourse without the motor on the gain). That would greatly help me choosing between an Orbea Gain and a Cannondale topstone neo (e-version of the topstone). Thanks in adance!
Well done on your comparison, i know how much weight makes on a bike climbing I've compared climbing on my Fondriest TF1 at 6.8kgs and on my old steel Raleigh at about 15kgs plus me at 75kgs a vast difference. Enjoy the rest of your day
Weight doesn’t really matter too much… assuming your relatively fit. I loaded up my road bike with about 7kg of luggage. So nearly 18kg… other then being in a lower gear then I was used to and not being about to sprint .. it’s similar… the only issue is when you run out of low gears due to fitness Top speed was similar I think the hillier the area you live, the more beneficial the e-bike.. it’s pretty much flat where I am.. so it mainly helps on the lights and when I’m really feeling tired
What gearing did you have on your normal bike? I know its an 11/47 but what did you go up the steepest climb in and what gear did you use on your ebike at L3 I bet you were still on the big ring.
@@LakeDistrictcyclist I emailed Orbea to ask if you can upgrade from the x35 to the x20. Sadly, though understandably, this cannot be done due to the nature of the new design, which I think is stunning. I'm real happy with my D20. It''s put the 'enjoyment' factor back into my cycling...

Thank you mate that’s kind of you 😊

Thank you that’s really kind. I will do a comparison of the bikes 😊
Absolute love my topstone 4 great vid on the two though
Yes loving it too 😊
Your breathing was not as heavy coming up the hills on the ebike, but you could tell that it was still a good workout for you. Good info.
Yes felt a lot coming up on ebike plus was about 2 mins faster so all good, thank you for watching 😊

Yes thank you that’s my problem living in the Lake District no flat roads 😂😊

Yes mate think I had 2 gears left on normal bike and yes stayed on big ring and in the middle on the back on ebike 😊
I rarely use level 3 - you must be flying..!
Yes mate good test what there can do
Have you had a shot on the latest x20..?

Unfortunately not but I would love too 😊
Yes the frame is different where the back wheel just comes straight off without needed to disconnect the wire
